Yes, the dogs give their all. I had a Hearing Dog and she made life sooooooo much easier for me. Never missed another bus (had them go right past me before), knew where to look when someone called my name (that I didn't hear), told me when I'd dropped things. CCI is beyond wonderful and all the puppy raisers are to be hugged. I've met my PRs and hugged them.
9 years ago our son received CCI Skilled Companion dog Roz, raised by inmates at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility. We were able to visit the puppy raisers twice, and it’s an understatement to say it was a moving experience and tears were shed. The puppy raisers (some of whom had a hand in raising Roz) got to see first hand the life-changing results of their hard work, and we got to see how life-changing the program is for these women and thank them in person for raising Roz. Roz passed away a year ago and our son is on the waiting list with CCI for a successor dog. We will forever be grateful to CCI and the inmate puppy raisers at Coffee Creek for raising Roz and changing our son’s life. I encourage any recipient of a CCI inmate-trained service dog to visit the facility where your dog was raised if at all possible...you’ll be glad you did!
Want a wonderful story of love and success on so many levels. Thank you for sharing these videos. What an amazing organization.

Beautiful, informative video. Many thanks to those who shared their journey with Canine Companions, and thanks for creating this program.
