we play it in a group of Russian speaking people, in UK we literally gather 18-30 people for every game , we hire a huge pub room every 2 weeks and run about 4 1hour games,
I just think somehow the time for Werewolf in western countries did not come yet, but when it comes, every major town will have a pub running that game on weekends ...

You can use a playing card deck if you don't have those cards.
I play with 9 friends + a moderator
Use 10 cards as Villages
Use King as Killer
Use Queen as Doctor
Use Jack for Bodyguard
Use Ace Card for Seer
3 Villagers , 3 Killers , 1 Doctor, 1 Seer, 1 Bodyguard.
There is some rules.
If doctor and bodyguard save the same person in same round that person will die.
Bodyguard can't protect the same person or him/herself for consecutive round.
Or you just write it on a piece of paper
@@skabe3520 Most people own a deck of cards (or can buy 1 for cheap) so it saves a lot of time than just writing everything down. It's more convenient.

Sorry, but this is the noob version
1. Discard Doctor
2.You need:
-any number of Werewolves and Villagers
-The Seer : has her Phase durung night, can have the Narrator uncover 1 other players card for her to see each night.
-The Witch : Has 1 Potion that revives and 1 Poison that kills per game. Gets shown the Werewolves victim during the night and can chose to revive. Can also chose to kill a player. Both only once a game.
-The little Girl: During the Werewolves phase, the girls is allowed to peek through her eyelids while pretending to sleep to spy on the Werewolves. At her own risk.
-Armor/The Cuppler: Has his only special action in the first night of the game. He has his phase during night, where he points at two players who are now the secret lovers, Werewolf or not. The lovers get a silent tap on their back by the narrator and after Armor went to sleep, they are allowed to open their eyes and see each other. If one of the lovers dies, the other commits suicide. Them trying to protect each other can set of wrong leads in other players quest to find out who is who.
Optional Special Roles in bigger rounds:
-The village Wench: Before the Werewolves wake up, the Wench has a phase and decides who to spent the night with. If the chosen player is killed by Werewolves in that night, she dies to as she lies in the same bed. When the Werewolves try to kill her, she survives, because she is not at home. Due to the presence of the witch and nobody knowing if she spent her Potion, this is not a dead giveaway.
-The Hunter: When killed, fires a last shot and takes a player of his choosing with him.
-Think of your own specil Roles if you have an idea that balances right.

Well, in the Werewolf game there is a bodyguard, not a doctor. The bodyguard is very simmilar tho. He/She can chose one person that cannot be attacked, instead of choosing one person to revive if they where the target. There is a doctor in the game Maafia wich is very simmilar.
In the original werewolf it was a witch that could also kill 1 player

Y'all can use a standard deck of playing cards. The number cards are villagers and the ace cards are the wolves. Add extra roles with face cards. Fun addition add a joker and they just cause chaos. (Auto vote once one person declares termination or last vote to tilt a decision)
Yes you can, But in my experience I was playing with the ASMODEE VERSION and Villagers where just Symbols. Whenever I was a Villager I gave up. It was nothing Special... and I could not Identify with the Symbol. I drew Comics back in the Days, and when A friend of mine wanted to play Werewolf, I drew up some cards and made them Unique. Thats when we started having more fun, because we could Identify with the Roles more.
The whole class gets to play this 😋 (i got werewolf and noone suspected a thing besides my friend but she didn’t rlly think much of it)
Off topic, but I like that they have someone sitting in a wheelchair. I'm not in a wheelchair or anything, but it's a nice little touch.

If the seer chooses a werewolf during the night phase, do they instantly tell everyone during the day phase? And vice verse, do they tell if they picked a villager? (During voting)
Well if they picked a villager then no because then the werewolf can kill the seer the next night and even though there is the doctor role if you play with 6 players 2 of them being werewolf there is a decent chance that the doctor died night 1. In different variations with more roles and players the strategy might be different but i am talking about the original game. If you do find a werewolf as seer you can either reveal as seer and accuse the player you found as werewolf (though a werewolf could just claim that he is seer and you are a liar which at that point the best you can do is try to get town's trust) or you can try to push the player you found as werewolf without revealing yourself which in order to do you will have to find some alternative reasoning to accuse him.
I would say, The Game is enjoyed with hints and indirect Accusing. If everybod reveals his or her roles, it breaks the Game and the Mystery.
Do you still remain silent if you're the seer but someone else claims "I'm the seer. I've checked James and he's a werewolf." There's a Chinese variant (12-player) of this game, with very established rules where players take turns in speaking. Team loyal typically consists of seer, witch, hunter and guard and 4 villagers. Roles are not revealed for eliminated players. It's been well established that announcing yourself as a seer with the result is the dominant strategy. With the existence of witch and guard (save a player from being killed), an undisputed seer is guaranteed safety for at least 2 nights, which is a lot of information in a game that typically lasts 3-4 nights. An undisputed seer who comes out at the first day leads to victory for the loyal most of the time. To counter this strategy, one member of the werewolf typically claims to be a seer at the first day. The first day is usually a contest of the seer, where everyone discusses which one to believe in, and deduce information based on how poeple speak and vote. Not coming out as the real seer makes the fake seer an undisputed seer.

I just have one question. If the seer or doctor is killed at any point, does the narrator still pretend like they are alive and tel them to open their eyes? Or is the village made aware that the seer/doctor has been killed?

The game works with 5 people. You should discard any special roles maybe. Or have a "Witch" that has 1 Life saving and 1 Killing potion per game.
What happens if the doctor saves a werewolf during a night cycle?
He can't see him he only chooses to save someone
Basicly think of him as a guardian angel that will stay and gaurd you at night.
The sad thing is it's completely by chance that doctors actually save someone and their best bet would be to save the shaman.

What's the point of the seer?
You get a chance to 100% know someone is innocent/wherewolfs. You basically just get to know if the person you choose is good or bad.

In the Chinese variant (狼人殺) of this game, not coming out as a seer immediately is frowned upon as it puts the team loyal at a disadvantage. Experienced werewolf team always has one member claiming to be a seer immediately. You don't want to let a werewolf being universally regarded as the real seer.
