  • I shaved my head almost two year ago. Wanna know why I shaved my head....and whether you should shave YOUR head? Watch me talk about what it meant to me, and show (with pictures) the steps I took to grow out my buzzcut.
    Should you shave your head? It's up to you, but it's good to have a plan on how you're going to grow it out!

    As a woman with a buzzcut and a husband, I can 100% confirm that people will always assume you’re a lesbian. I don’t take offence at all because it’s a bit funny to see their confused face when I tell them I have a husband 😂

      This will sound pathetic but what I’ve seen is that married women, who buzz their heads, have it a lot better because they’ve found someone to be with (their husband). Imagine being a straight single lady with a buzz head, no man will approach you.

      Alice K I’ve actually had more male attention while my head was buzzed versus when it was grown out. So that’s not always the case!

      Saoirse W really? You must be really gorgeous then because I don’t think it would work with me.

      Alice K I think men are attracted to the confidence that comes with the buzzed head and not actually the buzzed head itself. I wouldn’t call myself gorgeous but I definitely don’t think I’m ugly! Buzzing my head helped me embrace myself and learn to accept my acne scarring, which was the whole reason I did it. You should definitely try it at least once!

    wow you’re really inspiring me right now with the traditionally feminine bit. recently buzzed my head for the first time and i’ve struggled transitioning from long curly hair to none! it’s becoming a confidence booster though! thank you for the positivity! and you killed every outfit + hair-do!

    OMG the blonde buzz cut was amazing on you. Out of all your looks I really think it suited you the most.
    I'm growing out a platinum blonde one myself right now. At least I think I am lol.
    Because I'm already missing it 4 months out.

    Just yesterday I got an under buzz cut, and hair cut to a chin length layered bob... and I love the feeling of the under buzz I want to buzz the rest of my hair off... I'm so glad I watched this video, very insightful and informative, and relatable lol. 💜

      I think I will get a full buzz cut, but I'm going to wait a bit because I do like the hair style I just go, but still do want to cross off the buzz cut box on the bucket list

    It’s been 2 years and it only grew that much? How? I get more than 1 inch every month, so it shocks me to see how slow others’ hair grow.

      I knoow, my brother started growing his hair out when quarantine started and right now it's like up to his shoulders (he had a few trims as well). I also had been growing my hair out from a pixie then, and around January last year it was at my chin, and at January 2021 it was up to my chest. It may have been because she bleached her hair? I think it damages the scalp, and the nutrients go into fixing the skin as opposed to being expelled as hair.

    I recently gave myself an undercut with the help of a friend and a cheapo razor, and even tho it's lil uneven it feels so light and liberating!! I think I'll get the Buzz™ eventually, but undercuts are a good option for more commitment-phobic ppl lol. Great vid lucy keep em coming !

    I accidentally tried to cut bangs and it didn’t work and to fix it I had to cut the whole front of it off it’s been like 6 days and it’s almost the length of a guy trying to grow out his hair I definitely regret it 😫

    You seem so friendly and this video is really well done and makes me want to be bffs. I just shaved my head maybe 2 weeks ago and I'm excited for what's to come. I bleached my buzz and then dyed it a bright pink and when I walked out of the bathroom to show my bf he said "you look like a raging lesbian" and as a bi sexual/queer woman, I took it as a compliment. Thanks for sharing your story!

    I’ve been wanting to buzz mine and start over because of damage as well. But my hair is super curly, so I worry about that stage where you had the bowl. I def know I couldn’t do that.

    I buzzed my hair at age 59. At that age, people assume you have cancer.

    I shaved all my hair off I went completely bald entirely I've had three haircuts since cuz this last time I screwed my hair up by shaving it at home and I went too short but it was fixable and it's grown my hair grows quick since then I don't have any color to it I'm letting it grow out it's natural now. Which I'm a natural blonde by the way and I use softy hair growth oil from Dollar Tree and I'm a white woman and it works phenomenal and I don't flake or anything my hair doesn't dry out nothing but I definitely don't regret it I'm straight but I wear a lot of I wore a lot of hats at the beginning because I didn't know about like turbans and stuff for me but I found these beautiful turbines on Amazon and they're girly and they make me look super feminine and I'm so glad I did it cuz I donated my hair that I had to people with cancer

    Omg you’re so beautiful. Your hair looks so healthy now. I buzzed my head as well to support my son because he has cancer. I’ve been growing out my hair for 7 months now and it feels so great to have my natural hair color now. 🙂 Nice video

    • @wearlucinda
      @wearlucinda  3 роки тому +2

      the guy fieri look is definitely short lived 😂🤣 the first few days though I was definitely hyping myself up and convincing myself it was a great look lol

    I only have one inch all over so new to this. My hair was severely damaged as well. How did you keep from having it stick up when it was my length? I can't get it to lay down :(

    • @wearlucinda
      @wearlucinda  3 роки тому +1

      I think I used a pomade... if I recall correctly it was American Crew pomade and I just really used a lot of product. I’m sure it depends on hair type too, good luck!!

    • @joeyross4357
      @joeyross4357 3 роки тому

      I actually use styling gel to encourage it to stick up at that length and will switch to trying to get mine flat when it's about a half into to an inch longer since I'm at an inch on top.I'm also using styling wax to spike it out and most styling products I use are for guys because most women's products just enhance curls or add lift and volume and don't offer any kind of hold or control which is what men's hair products do.
