Roberto here!!, having some lessons with Shawn is definitely a life changing experience, my swing have progressed sooo much with Shawn and is just a matter of time before it shows up in the score!!, stay tuned for those weekly and monthly packages coming out, they're definitely WORTH IT!!!.
Happy Canada Day and 4th of July everyone! Here is a great Saturday bonus student lesson for you. For those who want to dive deeper or who are already on our premium channel, another way to stay centred is to work with the “blur of club” and “arc blur unstoppable momentum series” on our premium channel at www.wisdomingolfpremium.com (only $9.95 per month, stay as long as you like!)
This is KEY i have been watching your videos for a long time Shaun best on UA-cam I must say.I was hitting balls to the left and right with driver and irons was very frustrating then a seen this.off I went to the range game changer balls going so straight now just need more practice with it but I no what my problem is now and can work on it I’d love a lesson but I’m in Ireland unfortunately you have changed my game from not to be able to hit a ball to shooting under 90 in 1 year god bless you keep these exceptional videos coming pal 👍👍👍👍
I have been setting up the same way with the toe Slightly open to Target , and I take it back on that Line and return it , getting More Distance with Slight Draw ! Love it!
Excellent work Roberto swing looking sweet 👍🏾👏🏾 I would love to have a face to face with the Master himself but unfortunately I live in the UK, maybe one day tho. Great work Shawn 👍🏾 Can't wait to see more student lessons.
This is the biggest issue that changes my swing. When I'm messing up this is what i go back to and I'm fixed. When i don't stay behind it shortens my swing path which causes all kinds of problems (slices, open face, lost of distance). This also fixed my driver because you have to stay behind to hit up on the ball and close the face on long clubs and driver is the longest.
Great video Shawn and Roberto. I need to try the open face “weaker grip” with the driver on the range tomorrow. Strong grip closed face with irons has changed my whole game but I’m really struggling to get launch with my driver. Thanks for the great videos 🤙
There are things that I wish for a lot. One is a great, effortless swing the other is to have Roberto's time and money! Great content Shawn and Roberto.
Loving this video! I love coaching! There’s nothing better than seeing a student reach and even push their potential to new heights! I’m a premium subscriber and I struggle with something that Roberto mentions in this video. He makes the comment that he didn’t stay with his target…basically noting that he didn’t get through the ball. I struggle with this as well. My problem is I can’t figure out how the swing is supposed to feel when driving with my trail elbow through the shot. I always flip my hands adding loft. I’d like to know what you recommend Shawn for people that have trouble marrying together the “throw” of the club (driving the trail elbow) with an actual shot?! Do I just continue to go slow and get more reps? Sometimes I wonder if it’s because I’m so tall and I just don’t trust that I’ll actually catch the ball with the swing if I make the throwing motion. Thanks so much for the continued content! - Chris
Hey Chris! What you need to do is dig into the “release” videos on premium and then the throwing series; then the “goldie locks series” and finally the “target confirmation series and stick the finish despite the ball” series; when you throw the club into the direction you want to start the ball and don’t let go of the club, the weight of the club head will release the anatomy (if you let it-which means that you need to FEEL THIS from the “release” videos) and pull you into a full finish. When your mind is looking for the feel of that release, which is WAY PAST THE BALL and into the direction you want the ball to start, you will then begin the process of STAYING WITH YOUR SHOTS!👍💪👊👌
@@golflessons thanks for the reply Shawn. Did some more work on this today and watched the Snap Release Polishing video with Sav. I sort of combined this with another video that stuck with me really well...the lead hand release video. I was able to really lead with the elbow a few times but it's still definitely a work in progress. My brain is addicted to the awesome compression that comes from doing this right. I just gotta find it more often. So hard for my brain to give up control! I'll keep working at it!
Hey Ryan! If you are the kind of golfer who gets ahead of the ball and has to reach back and in so doing you fall backwards after shifting forward then yes, this is for you. However, if you are trying to lift the ball instead of delivering the task all the way through, please see “grass whip training shawn clement” and follow along!
Where do you live? I will be in Connecticut end of July and Oxford Alabama the week of the 14th of August and then road trip in Texas, Carolinas, and Orlando in October.
Hi I'm 74 years old and what I can see Roberto he's left elbow stays in his body most of the times so this way you can hit the ball straight and father thank you
Of course! All our tasks are designed this way! See “grass whip training shawn clement” for another task that wins the day and applies to all clubs! 😀👍
Go to our “throwing the club straight shawn clement” videos; weight shift SHOULD NEVER HAVE TO BE THOUGHT OF and is COMPLETELY NATURAL for a human on this planet! See all my weight shift videos and look out for another one in the next couple weeks!
Haha! Wait till you hear the podcast where he describes the nightmare of top US teachers he had to go through in his journey to enjoy this game! There are so many legitimately looking for that shortcut to enjoy the game faster and they get sent in the opposite direction where literally you would be better off going without lessons!!
I tried the strong grip for me to learn. Sometimes I like to mix it up... when I do strong grip... My 3 wood, hybrid, 6,5,4 iron seems like on the impact I keep hitting it left to right.. please help
Next you need to feel and polish the proper release pattern; see “how to square up the club shawn clement” and “hit a honkin’ draw to hit straight shawn clement” On our premium channel, you want to see the “release” videos; they are the best by far in the industry! Once you lock into the feel of a full abandoned release, then your brain will be able to lock into the target properly and make the ball a precise intersection on the way there! Use the “blur of club” videos on premium for this cause!
Shawn, in a more recent video you had state that you look at the ground in front of the ball, in this video are you saying to look at the back of the ball?
THEY BOTH WORK!! What is important is that you are not focused on those spots and that you are immersed in the TASK OF DELIVERING THE GRASS BLADES OR THE DANDELION STEM IN THE DIRECTION YOU WANT TO START THE BALL WITH A NICE WHIPPING ACTION COMING FROM MOMENTUM!!
Shaun, I see your video's of the three of you , saying using zero effort or 1 on effort scale something to that nature . How are you getting zero effort ? Something has to to be moving . What am I missing . The lower body getting out of the way on the back swing and again on the downswing is clearly showing effort . Zero effort ? Momentum can't be zero to propel a ball any serious distance . Perpetual motion as in walking verses Running.
It is just a perception; I have to tell many of my students this; others it’s 3 out of ten; Yes, it requires some energy to move but some movements like walking require no effort.
Wanted to say thank you, Shawn. Today was the first 9 hole round I've played really trying to implement your W. I. G. teachings. Can't remember the last time I've hit my irons that well... AND it was windy today! Plus, with my driver, I tried something. When I practice swing, I don't look at the ball, I look at the center (bottom out point). I stepped up to the ball, same focus point...hit my driver a LOT better. With accuracy and consistency, the distance will improve, I believe. No turning back now. 🏌🏽♂️
We have been dancing around that yes; many tend to get away from their proper low points when trying to keep the head back; we are focusing on the task here which will allow the head position to evolve into the right slot as you go! 😀👍
Ah I see. I love your idea of evolution. One insight leads to another. I’ve noticed that in my own game. As long as you keep trying to hit at a very specific target with a distinct ball flight in mind things get revealed automatically it seems like. I wouldn’t be anywhere near as good at golf if it weren’t for you Shawn!
Thanks for the response. I’m going to try that I had a strong grip with closed face like with the irons and I tend to hook the driver a lot but not with the irons.

Where should the bag be posted? I am thinking it should be the same as the ball position for the club being used.

Can't see where logo on ball is positioned? is it dead center?
straight line horizontal below equator of ball to picture the leading edge of club separating the ball from the ground

BOOM!!! Very powerful way to go! I use the blur while keeping eyes in the space ahead of the ball a couple inches! 😀👍
Yep same here I don’t look at the ball just few inches in front boom 💥 rockets off the driver and straight
Is it possible he could be too tilted? It looked like he was moving forward in the downswing to get the low point in front of the ball with the irons.

Thanks for the response. I’m going to try that I had a strong grip with closed face like with the irons and I tend to hook the driver a lot but not with the irons.
Sean, I missed something. After he weakened his grip and missed to left, how did he get back to center?
