Thank you for making this. Since I hated on the last video so much, I want you to know how much I appreciate this. These are the perfect trails I would take my wife and sons on so they can experience Big Bear without the "everything must be big jumps" vibe of much of the park. Between this and MTB Alan's video today, I think I need to plan a trip here soon.
I’ve done Skyline point to point (around 15 miles) then biked through the town back to my car (another 7miles). It’s one of my favorite trails in the area.
Welcome to Palm Springs! You should come here in the winter time when it's not a million degrees outside. Quite a few great trails to check out within biking distance to your rental home in PS.
I blew up a chain partway down Skyline East, and rather than fix it, I just coasted down Skyline and Fern. Almost lost it a couple of turns, but still got a few PRs. Love those trails.
Soo many cool trails right outside the park!! Thanks for sharing. It's awesome how smooth you flow through some of the more difficult features. Yep, we "tend to get lazy and do dumb stuff" at the end of the day...LOL
I see you cutting out that little chunky climb at 2:30 hah. I probably did it five times the first time... I was just there Sunday and Monday. Fall Line is my favorite.
If you only have a trail bike these and Going Green are the trails you want to ride. So much fun. Don't feel like you need a 200mm travel bike to have fun at Snow Summit.
Thanks for the video! We are a family of 4 with 2x 15 yr olds. This looks like they might be able to handle it. Two questions: 1) Can we rent full-face helmets onsite or should we bring our own; and 2) we all have hardtails are are intermediate riders. Will we be ok?
I got one of those Oneup EDC Pumps (100cc) mounted to my frame, with an EDC Multi Tool, and loaded it with a spare master link, easy to fix a broken chain. Also, can you fit a bash guard on the Trek? I just installed a bash guard this morning on my Yeti, also trying out an oval chainring. Those trails look really nice, definitely on my TODO list now. Thanks
Hey Outsider, I was wondering, how much does a day like this cost you to hit Snow Summit. A friend and I are gonna go this fall and we were curious how much we’re gonna need to pay to get on the chairlift and do all the same stuff your doing. Thank you for all the guides and videos, I am excited to get more into mtb.
Love the channel, videos, tips, but would love to recommend an app called RELIVE whenever you’re on a trail to trace your exact route plus is extremely cool, will upload pictures videos along the route and you would love it and help us all follow your lead at our own time. Not trying to sell you anything, but want to follow your lead on my time :)
The Outsider MTB I’ve downloaded Strava which I’ll give it a shot next ride. Please let me know your thoughts on RELIVE specially around Santiago Oaks to follow your path to glory!
Funny, because I took a break from the mountains too and as In Palm Springs too! Lol. Definitely going to hit up those trails next time I go to snow summit.
I’m telling you, this channel right here will be crazy popular in 6 months to a year. Awesome videos Tony! Super high production value!!
Thanks Plato!
agree

I'm so glad! Good stuff Brandon - enjoy!

Heck of a day - that's awesome Ella!
Great vid. Broke my chain at the top of Turtle once. Was actually kinda fun coasting down - really had to focus on my pumps, turns, and momentum
Exactly what I had to do bud!
Rode skyline today for the first time! The conditions were unreal. After 2 days of some rain up here, the dirt was hero! Great video
Amazing! I missed out!
Thanks for the video!! You make those trails look easy. I was inspired to try fall line today. Great trail had to walk some only a beginner
Progression is all a part of it - thanks!

Sounds great!

Ha I had to do the same. Good stuff.
Soo many cool trails right outside the park!! Thanks for sharing. It's awesome how smooth you flow through some of the more difficult features. Yep, we "tend to get lazy and do dumb stuff" at the end of the day...LOL
Haha thanks man and I agree with that for sure!
Hello from Palm Desert, right next to you. As soon as I heal up, I need to get back up there and try these. Looks like fun.
You should!
The Outsider MTB I just put a down payment on a new Rocky Mountain Instinct to motivate me to get better fast!
That enter the dragon sound track lol killed it
Ha thanks!
I see you cutting out that little chunky climb at 2:30 hah. I probably did it five times the first time... I was just there Sunday and Monday. Fall Line is my favorite.
Such a fun switch up from the park trails for sure William.
That looks like so much fun. 👏😎
It was!
That beat you got going in the background tho 👌. Can't believe you know it
It's a good one!

Agreed.

I'm not sure about the helmets but I think you guys should be ok. Check out my other recent Snow Summit video for more info.
Chainless descents, chunky-chunk, loosey-goosies, and the return of painted blue gloves! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ✌🏼🤟🏼
Oh yes! Ha thanks Adman - and sick shirt in your new vid brother! 😉
The Outsider MTB Ha! Gotta represent!
I wonder when the 2021 Remedy will come out?... taken its time
I feel like I just got my 2020 still. Haha

Chain guard is tough on this bike. It's very tight down there. That's what she said.
Hey Tony, just got a GoPro Hero 8 any tips on what settings to use? Thanks man. Love the content.
Good stuff - check out my AMA vid. 😉✔️
@@TheOutsiderMTB will do thanks. And thanks for sharing these trails. I'm trying to plan a trip there once my injuries finally go away. Wrist issues.
How much climbing is there on the Skyline to the bottom?
Maybe two ups and some in betweens. Not too much.
@@TheOutsiderMTB Thanks. My kid is not much of a climber, but I think he would like the single track over there.
Nice video man...been checking your other content too...great job! Subscribed and looking forward to more!
Thanks for the sub! Welcome to the channel!
What type of Chest mount for the go pro do you have? Can’t seem to find a good one that doesn’t bounce.
I use the stuntman chesty.
Much appreciated bro!!
Love these trails and you can ride them without a bike park pass!! Great vid bud 👊🏻✊🏻
Couldn't agree more! Thanks!
Do those less riden trails come out at the bottom of the chairlift?
A little bit down the road. A short pedal back.
Didn’t you film a secret trail through that chain link fence once? Looked fun
Maybe...
The Outsider MTB 🤣 if my Angel Fire trip cancels next week I’m going to Big Bear as a plan B and I’m gonna find it!
😉👊
Do these trails end up back at the front of the mountain?
Yes but a little ways down a fire road. Short pedal back to the lift.

I think a day pass is like 45 bucks. I have a season pass so I'm good to go whenever.
If you buy it online at least 3 days in advance you get a bit of a discount.
The Outsider MTB Thank you, I was checking out prices, gonna be a bit more for me, and I’ve gotta learn the ropes, it’ll be my first time there.
Sunglass Rob Thanks man, I just checked that, it’ll be plenty useful because it’s pricey for me.
I love your vids and the quality is awesome, but have you considered shooting your videos at 60fps?
Thanks for this week's video Tony!🙌
Thanks! I like the cinematic effect from 24fps. ^0 is I want Slo-mo.
@@TheOutsiderMTB Oh I get it! No problem 😉
You should have done this with the Remedy.
What do you mean I’m riding the Remedy.
@@TheOutsiderMTB I never saw a remedy with a Wicked Witch basket and a cargo carrier lol
My wife called you the discount Derek Shepherd 😂😂😂🤣🤣😁♥️
Discount! Wha!!!! Hell no.... Ha I have told I look like him quite a bit actually.
@@TheOutsiderMTB not my words! Apparently McDreamy is on a different level 😂
you got to go to skypark soon
I'm there all the time. Was just there this week.
Interesting stuff!
Glad you think so!
Thanks for showing something other than partyline to westridge they get boring watching everybody do the same trail.
Ha I agree - they'e really fun, but if you've watched a dozen times you need something new.
What's with the Karate Kid music, Outsider san?

Great suggestion! Do you use Strava - sounds similar. That's what I use and have the link in my video descriptions.

Nice hills just outside PS.
Did you follow the red lights into the cave...
Funny, because I took a break from the mountains too and as In Palm Springs too! Lol. Definitely going to hit up those trails next time I go to snow summit.
