"Hello old friend, and here we are. You and me, on the last page. By the time you read these words, Rory and I will be long gone. So know that we lived well, and we’re very happy. And above all else, know that we will love you, always. Sometimes I do worry about you, though. I think, once we’re gone, you won’t be coming back here for a while, and you might be alone, which you should never be. Don’t be alone, Doctor. And do one more thing for me. There’s a little girl waiting in a garden. She’s going to wait a long while, so she’s going to need a lot of hope. Go to her. Tell her a story. Tell her that if she’s patient, the days are coming that she’ll never forget. Tell her she’ll go to sea and fight pirates. She’ll fall in love with a man who’ll wait two thousand years to keep her safe. Tell her she’ll give hope to the greatest painter who ever lived, and save a whale in outer space. Tell her, this is the story of Amelia Pond. And this is how it ends."
“The first face this face saw” something about doctor who, the first companion and the first doctor you see usually is the one that sticks with you. I will always remember when Matt was the doctor and I will always love Amy
This is one of the most beautifully composed companion themes. I can literally hear Amy's fairytale experience of the Doctor, the TARDIS and the entirety of time and space in this piece.
Dang it. Amy might've only been my third favorite companion, but her goodbye made me cry the hardest...maybe because on one hand it was bittersweet- she got to live out the rest of her life with Rory, but I felt so bad for the Doctor losing his best friends X.x;
Derek Moore Because their departure was a fixed point in time, kinda of like Pompeii. After Rory ended up in Manhattan his future was written with him there. If they were to go back for him his entire life would be unraveled and who knows what the consequences would be.
I cried too when they died and when and I was praying for Amy's ghost to come back before the eleventh doctor left and... she did she was there when he regenerated. (I cried at that moment too)
I've noticed within the last few season of DW that the music hasn't been as distinct or memorable as it use to be. For me the music was always an important part of DW starting with the Russel T. Davies era with Rose, Martha, Donna, and The Doctor's themes. The music was a key part of the storytelling with different arrangements of the The Doctor's theme popping up during more somber or emotionally powerful moments. This can also been seen with the different arrangements of Roses, Martha's(especially Martha's), and Donna as well. Moffat's era had a key number of tracks that showed up in multiple episodes as well, in particular the use to Amy's theme for 11 as well as Clara's. The way these songs came up over and over again in multiple episodes cemented their emotional importance to the overarching story being told as well as the arcs for each character. Unfortunately the music in the last couple seasons has felt utterly unmemorable in every way. Neither Graham, Ryan or Yaz have any themes that I can recall from memory or stand out for their character growth or importance to the overarching narrative (not that there has been much of either). I feel like this is a very important element that they Chris Chibnall has been lacking.
Ahh yes my thoughts exactly I just watched season 11 through 13 and the music felt like a huge gap in the show the music has always been so important and the show just feels so empty without beautiful memorable tracks like this one
I'm really hoping that now murray gold has returned to score the music for doctor who we'll get our companion and character themes again! So excited! 😊😊
Uncoordinated Randomness He talks about her sometimes, When I first got into his big blue box. He still has the ring, she left in his pocket. Well, that is, there are some things the public doesn't know about the Doctor. He's different. Believe me, I know. He has so many joys, he gets mad, and he remembers, every time he sees River, he cries, and it makes me cry. To see her, and my raggedy man. So upset. You are probably wondering who I am. Maybe another time. The public isn't ready for me. Let's just say. Mums song is beautiful. You are not ready for me yet. Someday. Maybe. But know this, I am not River, I will never be River. I am not Melody Melone, or Melody Pond. I am a Pond. But you don't know me yet. Thanks for posting this. I will be sure to show mum :)
This is so emotional, the amazing bond they shared except from mother-in-law, it was unbelievable, the girl who waited....Its time for you to stop waiting, zapped back in time by the weeping angels...Cried at her departure and when she came back to say goodbye to matt smith
Dear Amelia, sleep well my sweet little angel. I know it was a long night for you, waiting....and keep waiting. Be patience, because it will be a long day for you afterwards. But I promise, I will return, I'll be coming for you and I promise, I will take you to the stars.
I don't know about you, but this feels like an antithesis for the 10th Doctor's theme. Similar choral melody, but the Doctor's carries a theme of dread and guilt, while Amy's feels like wonder and innocence.
Wibbly wobbly, timey wimey. You do get how time travel works, right? It was only five minutes for him, but for her it was twelve years. But during his run with Amy, yes, he did spend a lot of time alone between visits with her and Rory.
Frickin frick, I loved and hated Amy at times. The ending to their travels destroyed me. I stopped watching the Dw series when the old man stepped in, the magic of the doctor isn't here for me anymore.
you mean Capaldi..? he's absolutely amazing Eleven was my Doctor yes but any whovian will know that Capaldi is the Doctor more than anyone else has ever been in a very long time. there's so much Hartnell in his Doctor just like when Colin Baker was the Doctor, they capture that Hartnell feeling so well I think Capaldi really brought the series back to what it used to be. and of course he's old i think 2000 years old makes the Doctor an "old man"
After Amy pond, Rory and matt Smith as the doctor, things just started to go downhill and then just get worse and worse 😑 Doctor who was never the same again and i didn't like watching it anymore after these 3 talented actors.
Hollyanne Neuman I'm not dissing Matt Smith, in fact, I liked Matt Smith as the Doctor. It's the writing in series 5-7 that put me off. Nothing but retcons (look up 'retroactive continuity' if you don't understand what that means) and characters being nothing more than walking plot devices. That and completely dissing the Davies era's continuity.
Hollie Neuman Whereas in the Moffat era EVERYONE is a plot device first and foremost and a character... uh... when? Seriously, Amy, River and Clara are not characters at all. They're just the plot which has the ability to talk and do things. We only scratch the surface of what makes them characters, i.e. people.
Get a UA-cam to mp3 converter on your phone, paste this videos url into it then in ringtones search though 'My music' or something and find the mp3 version of this. Don't make it your alarm though, it'll ruin the music for you as you'll start to associate negative feelings with it
in my opinion I don't think it is true because capaldi has been a life long doctor who fan since he was a kid, so I don't think he would leave after his first sason
+Pénélope Lafont I respect that he left because it was his own choice, but still, he was amazing. My first and I think he's so negelcted by the fandom considering he was the one who got a whole generation watching

@@themango3747 we can call here amy and amelia
Amy Pond was by far the best companion, I almost cried when I saw her go.
+Christopher Hellinger i did cry lol
+Christopher Hellinger cried even more when i saw her come back for 5 seconds before matt smith regenerated
Christopher Hellinger um Rose and Amy....I wish they would come back I love them all so much
Christopher Hellinger Clara could never make me happy....she could never replace amy
Amelia Pond and Rory were my first companions so to see them leave made me cry.
“The first face this face saw” something about doctor who, the first companion and the first doctor you see usually is the one that sticks with you. I will always remember when Matt was the doctor and I will always love Amy
You can still see her facial expressions, of joy, brilliance and wonder, and the ones of guttwrenching pain and heartache... she was beautiful
This is so true, I love Matt's doctor and Amy pond
They were my first too and I do have a fondness for them but I gotta say that 10 and especially Donna are my faves.
This is one of the most beautifully composed companion themes. I can literally hear Amy's fairytale experience of the Doctor, the TARDIS and the entirety of time and space in this piece.
it is magical
Makes you realize how fantastic the musical score is to this series.
Murray Gold, you are a musical genius.
The girl who waited... It's time to stop waiting.
There's a little girl waiting in a garden. She's going to be waiting for a very long time. Go to her. Tell her a story.
Amy and Clara are my favorite companions! their themes are so beautiful

I feel like crying over Doctor Who again. Haven't watched it in years unfortunately.
WATCH IT
Literally haven't watched it for 2 maybe 3 years and still, now that i listen to those themes i can't help but cry
Amy Pond, sounds like a name from a fairy tale.
*amelia pond
Raggedy Man I remember you and you are LATE FOR MY WEDDING.
Oh Amelia..... You spent too long waiting.
Goodbye.
Raggedy man...goodbye
did anybody else notice that Amys theme plays on the time of the doctor!!!! I just noticed that!!!
No I didn't! Which part?
Ill get back to you on that
Yup I noticed that too - I think that shows that Amy's entire "life" or "story" revolves around the doctor... So cool. ;)
KILL ME
And The Ring of Akhaten plays during his regeneration on that episode 😭
Amy and Rory were my favorites.... I still cry
OMG Yus. And with the 11th doctor. They made the best and greatest cast ever.
I cried too when they died and when and I was praying for Amy's ghost to come back before the eleventh doctor left and... she did she was there when he regenerated. (I cried at that moment too)
and the doctor still remembered her as number twelve.
lik if u cry evry tim

That’s because Chibnall’s years as a show runner has been lacking. Can’t wait till he’s replaced.
It’ll never reach the same quality Murray gold had with his music
You struck the nail on the head! This is so much of what is lacking since the Moffat era.
I'm really hoping that now murray gold has returned to score the music for doctor who we'll get our companion and character themes again! So excited! 😊😊

WHY?!!!!!!!!!
I love this.. it was sad when the episode came... when Rory and Amelia ( or Amy )
died..together...
they didn't die they were sent to another time and they lived happily ever after
the tombstone was in the future they had a long life
and Rory died 2 years before Amy

I'm playing this at the same time as River's theme. Enchanting, impossible, and timey-wimey. Love it!
Make Doctor Who Great Again
This works really well with River Song's theme
Well spoilers if You don't know

Amy is the best and the theme is beautiful

Come along Pond, please!
The doctor: Amelia pond, the girl who waited.
the most intereting theme
i miss amy pond

I don't know about you, but this feels like an antithesis for the 10th Doctor's theme. Similar choral melody, but the Doctor's carries a theme of dread and guilt, while Amy's feels like wonder and innocence.
Eccleston left because he had good ideas for doctor who but the writers didnt listen :(
I'm really looking forward to seeing what beautiful music murray gold has got in store for us now he's returning to score the music for doctor who! 😊😊
IM NOT CRYING YOURE CRYING
If the doctor met amy when she was young then he left and meeted her when she was grown-up that means the doctor must of been traveling alone
Wibbly wobbly, timey wimey. You do get how time travel works, right? It was only five minutes for him, but for her it was twelve years.
But during his run with Amy, yes, he did spend a lot of time alone between visits with her and Rory.
