Welcome to my home city, jakarta! As a local I’ve never been to blok M area myself lol. That tiramisu cafe was (and maybe is) MEGA famous, there is always a queue, lol
The park royal is new, glad you stay at newer property
Those fierce cats we call them “kucing jalanan” aka stray cats, they’re indeed WILD and pretty much everywhere lol, if you go to Bali you’ll find stray dogs. Very different w singapore right, ahahah😅
Bubble tea in Indo are ofcourse, much cheaper than sg (thanks to our weak currency) but the brand range is quite huge, you can also find expensive ones like BanBan (also in GI). Also Jakarta is more expensive, don’t know if you noticed but in bandung most prices are Even cheaper than Jkt lol
Grand Indonesia is my neighborhood mall, indeed chicken in Indonesia are SMALL compare to SG (both real kampung chicken and boiler chicken), when we first went to Sing we were shocked looking at the chicken thigh size😂😂 (still is)

Price wise, Bandung was indeed more affordable than JKT! We were shocked by the bill after having a feast at a resto. It was like SG food court pricing but food was WAYYY BETTER 😭🫶🏼

You should try Kafe Betawi next time if you happen to come to Jakarta again. They have lots varieties of local food. And yeah the food price in Jakarta mall nowadays is not that so cheap 😅

I think travelling to either has its pros and cons. It’s cheaper to travel to Malaysia but expenses will be higher than in Indonesia!
