This is IBB stylishly talking about him! He is the good Nigerian, travels, economist and 60 years old.
Let everyone pray for Obi to lead this UNITED NIGERIA to it’s best days yet 🙏

The lady interviewer is very good. Right questions and waited enough for him to answer the questions - again am very impressed with IBB ‘s. articulation and presence of mind despite being 80 yrs. Very good. You must be a joker. This same lady that portrays him a hero in some respect and fails to ask tough questions around corruption and the June 12 question has zero conviction behind them. The man has politely demonstrated impunity, politely lied, politely showed no remorse and interviewer is not pressing on any of those questions. She's respectful and we should respect our elders but not those who plunder the nation into crisis and did so much for themselves and their families at the expense of destroying the future of so many generations so he definitely did not deserve the respect he was afforded.

The problem with Africa is that we celebrate thieves. Allow them to keep their loot and be treated as statesmen, heroes instead of villain deserving the harshest punishment and to be treated with contempt. IBB and many corrupt and ruthless African leaders shouldn’t be allowed to keep their loot. Letting them keep is setting bad precedents, it confirms that crime pays. This is our biggest problem in Africa. A thief is a thief and it doesn’t matter whether they have stolen a goat, chicken, robbed citizens of public resources, are a villager, an ex president, young or old. They must be punished in equal proportion to the crime committed and deprived of the stollen goods or wealth so that leaders coming after them are warned. I don’t consider IBB a hero and sad that many here are praising him. May God the almighty, Allah open our eyes as citizens to the filths committed by men like him impoverishing this continent

I believe that the reason we have agitations for secession in Nigeria is that the right things are not being done. If governance had given every section of the Nigerian society the necessary dividends in terms of economic welfare and acceptance, and no section is marginalized in any way, there won't be such agitations. If there were no looting of the treasury at federal, state and local government levels, and if the resources were appropriately managed for the benefit of all, there would not be agitations for secession. In the present dispensation, Peter Obi stands out as the magic wand that is capable of restoring the Nigerian State economically. He is highly detribalized and he would use the best Nigerians to achieve his purposes, irrespective of tribe or ethnicity. He is sound beyond measure in all respects. Nigeria and Nigerians need him now! Atiku and Bola Tinubu do not fit. They have looted our treasury enough! They contributed immensely to the bastardizing of the Nigerian State, her economy, and her morality. They are epitomes of corruption. PETER OBI IS OUR NECESSARY STRUCTURE UNOPPOSED!

The military men in Nigeria were rare in terms of impacting the lives of the common Nigerian. IBB annulled a democratic process in June 12 1993 elections . A man who gave license to corruption and tries to justify his own graft by highlighting the immense corruption of current political class only shows an ex-president who refuses to be held accountable as a public servant. We all tend to forget that in 1960 when according to President Babangida, we agreed to be one country, our then leaders recognised the differences and partitioned the country into three semi-nations called regions. These regions were working and controlling their economy and contributing to the federal government. They even had their own ambassadors outside Nigeria, aside the federal ambassadors. We have forgotten all these. The country was running better then. The whole problem started when you military people reversed the status quo to now have the federal controlling everywhere and feeding the entire large country from Lagos and later Abuja. Truth is: untill you reverse the structure back to what it was in 1960 or something like it, you will keep struggling with unity and you must eventually break-up. We, so large, are all caged-up under Abuja; this is the problem!

God bless IBB ala 'Maradona' He hit the nail on the head on several level. I recollect that Nigeria we had when he was in power compared to now. To even take IMF loan he made it a public debate for all on TV and Radio. His presidency tho military was ran somewhat like a civilian government. I was in university then NYSC then. Rule from the lower level, not from the higher down. State show focus on infrastructures, state policies and budget oversight to name a few...instead of micro-managing to the lowest level. Same should be on the Federal level, focus on Polices, Security, Federal level infrastructures, lead the people to run a free enterprise economy. That's what's practiced in the US. Shagari's regime tried it to some extent but corruption, partisanship and lack of common unitary value destroy it. May God help us as we're now poised to help ourselves thru supporting the youths.

I applaud you, sir, IBB. We as a Nation are quick to condemn you, but you had the interest of the Country at heart-a man who gave his wife a platform to shine.
We should think of United democracy as it should be. IBB is not INEC rigging the elections, nor is he your state's governors not providing essential services to the people.

The IBB period was a major turning point for our beloved country. IBB is comparatively one of the best leaders in Nigeria. IBB engaged the media, constantly briefing the country and taking questions. Today's leaders should stop blaming IBB for their irresponsible behaviours. Nigeria belong to Nigerians.

The level of jonalism in Nigeria is really nothing to write home about, Ibb himself raised some certain issues that the interviewer failed to capitalised on, for instance when he says ( at least the economy hasn't collapse yet ) she should have take him on that, and few others...

Those of you asking why Rufai wasn't sent, hope you guys know that he's arrogant and with people like that Arise would never get anywhere near these top politicians. My guess is it's same reason he wasn't included amongst the team that had a session with PMB.
Meanwhile, IBB decided not to share anything on this interview, evasive as usual. I hope he tells us the whole truth someday before he dies, we deserve that at least.

@@ademolamary7225 There's a thin line between arrogance and confidence and I can tell when a person is the former. I have watched Amanpour and other top journalists interview tyrants and notable world leaders, trust me I could tell when I see a arrogant one. Classic example was one of his interviews with governor Wike when he, Rufai insisted the man tell him the number of people he employs monthly as governor of rivers. Abati had to step in to salvage what was already an awkward situation.
Just so you know, I like him as a journalist and I consider him to be highly cerebral but dude needs to learn some diplomacy.

His conscience knows that he tried to destroy Nigeria, so he is not part of Nigeria. He knows this. He annulled the most peaceful election. He knows. You can't lie to your conscience. Notice how he uses "we" before his regime, and changed it to "they", after his regime.
