If there are hits in every pack value is lost. Enjoy the pokeballs and masterballs aside looking for SIR your fine. None of the sword and shield sets where easy hits other than Crown Zenith

@@LuciferArc1 probably only 10% of the pokemon population is, opening packs wouldn’t be fun if you always get hits, just like video games aren’t fun if you cheat. Things handed out are way less enjoyable for me personally. I’m not going to pursue after an easy chase card. There’s still plenty of shiny things going on in this set anyways😂 the pokeball/masterballs are better than probably almost all of the previous reverse other than like some crazy shit like the legendary collection. Just buy it from target/walmart or hit a vending machine don’t pay what you don’t think it’s worth. Regardless it’s the most exspensive set, by total set value ever released by pokemon atm. That’s something to say about the set

The breaking experience of ripping this is very bad. You either hit big or hit nothing, there is no in between.

If you open a few this is most likely the case. It's rough getting your value back. But in terms of value, when opening S&S; like Fusion, Lost Origin & Chilling reign. You will get some hits, but it's just as bad. The reward in Prismatic is much greater though.
Especially when each pack your buying is well over msrp

This is good news. People, like me, are getting fatigued by scalping, fomo, and all the other bullshit surrounding this set. It's leaving a bad taste in people's mouths.
I think the Pokémon company is going to respond too slowly to this and buyer fatigue / frustration will force a lot of actual fans to abandon the hobby. I've already sold my vintage singles collection and my modern sealed collection. I basically stopped pursuing prismatic entirely. If TCPi doesn't want my business then I'll spend it elsewhere. Once the scalpers dump and disappear, the market will crash due to the glut of merchandise that will hit the market all at once and the lack of actual fans who want to buy it. This is the 1990's comic book crash all over again
@@josephclark7243 Yep. I have completely stopped trying to get Prismatic Evolutions as well. I simply don't have the time and energy that the unemployed scalpers do.
I've personally opened four ETBS, a PC ETB, a Binder, and a few Sticker Packs, probably around 60 packs or so, got it all at MSRP, and it is simply not a fun set to open, I have absolutely zero desire to rip any more of this set even at MSRP, so I don't see why anybody would want to pay 100 for an etb, the opening experience is ASS!
I am just curious.. surging sparks is also 100 per etb but why nobody said anything bad about surging sparks?
@ plenty of people did, the reason the focus is on prismatic rn is just because its the newest set.
I opened about 61 packs and got an Amarys SIR, but that was it. However I had a thrill opening it up! I’m new to the Pokémon space. I was raised to stay away from witchcraft like Pokémon. (Just got into the hobby in August 2024)
@ yea I just like the regular illustration rares like we’ve been seeing in scarlet and violet wayyy more than the pokeball/masterball reverses, those just dont do it for me.

To the moon: the number of ETBs of this set that are going to be printed. WAWA: where you will find these collecting dust on shelves in a few months. Losses: what's going to happen to your investment if you paid more than MSRP for any of this nonsense. The next shinny thing: what's coming next that will make this completely a waste of time.
Any retail product will struggle to consistently trade for inflated market prices while restocks are expected.
Nobody should be paying above MSRP for this. The set literally just released. Hold the line! Let those resellers learn their lesson!

I think you have to ask yourself, where does the set rank compared to evolving skies. IMO it is neck and neck. Evolving skies has around 11ish "bangers". PE has close to 20. So yea, pull rates suck, not worse than ES, but stings more bc of the price. But down the road this set will give ES a run for its money. If youre long term youre fine. If youre short term or skittish. Buckle tf up.
I sold my evolving skies for prismatic at retail. Don’t regret it at all.

I went to a TCG event not last weekend and very few vendors with Prismatic ETB all at an avg $125 and not many folks buying from what I saw. Even Blooming waters were at $150!
Also can we discuss how insane the price disparity has gotten between TCG player and eBay? I am DONE with TCG player, prices are so freaking inflated its crazy. Too easy to manipulate.

IMO, if you can get the PE ETB for under 100, then it is a good buy. The pull rates are horrible, causing the single prices to stay evaluated and will lead to continual gambling of most to chase the hits. This set is too good to be at MSRP, as there will be buyers ready to scoop up supply to shoot it right up.
Those who claim they are giving up are just not adjusting to the current market. If you can not afford to pay what the market is demanding, then either wait for a discount when more products arrive or go away. Whining and blaming isn't going to solve anything.
Anyone paying more than 60 bucks for etb deserves it
The fact that you bought binder collections above msrp is wild.
After checking stores every day for weeks now, that is by far the Hardest product to find.
Best comparison I could give is. SAME Bottle of water at a store will be less then at the concert. There was a bunch of etbs somewhere where most of those people already ripped 1 or a few boxes and don't feel the need to spend 100% markup but there are still alot of people that haven't ripped much so will still spend it
This video title doesn't even make sense, market price is just what its currently going for....so as long as it's being sold its the market price....people want it just not at overlfated prices and most are now willing to wait

It's a good set, just not enough product, priced too high at release. Really steered me away from buying more than a couple items of Prismatic. Also, the pull rates seem far more difficult. I'll open less than 10 packs until the price comes down. Every set from chilling reign onwards are beautiful, lots of fun affordable options elsewhere.

People are selling their Pokemon etb due trump tarriffs this week.
Went to a show yesterday the cheapest dealer had his etbs at 100 bucks. Went back at the end of the Day his partner was yelling at him for not having it sold. I offered retail and they got all mad haha

Traumatic Evolutions has a horrid hit rate (equal to or worse than Evo skies), and thats if you can get the product with all the scalpers and FOMO bs going on. Better off skipping the set for several months and let the market crash with no demand, or grab the cards you want to have the art of, in Proxy form, and move on

Any of you that think that Prismatic market values will drop to MSRP and just stay there are delusional or now to this hobby. Give it another 6 months.

Before this set came out, Rudy (alpha investments,) said they’d be $200 a box, his experience of being in this market of cardboard for 20+ years, I’m interested to see if that holds up.
O I think they will get there at some point but it will be awhile.
These ETBs will hit $150 by March 1st and $200 by April 1st. People are getting their tax refunds 😂 Also Eeveelution PSA 10 prices will start establishing and people are going to lose their minds as content creators push out those numbers.

I can tell you it will be $300. it means nothing though. It will go up. The question is how long will it take and are their better opportunities? What is the point if it takes a decade.

Not a fun set to watch opened at all lol (have yet to find any) . Easy to wait a year or two if I ever wanna just grab one at msrp and pass at anything over $70 . I’ll rather focus on journey together

No reason to buy at these prices cause they will reprint. Also more products already coming. Like we know a schedule through march and more prismatic packs are in those products. If you paid $150, you got duped.

@ funny 2 months ago everyone hated the terrestrial mons. When the influx of new fans dies down (which it will how do you keep people interested in something they can’t acquire) there will be product sitting on the shelves collecting dust due to the print increase. It’s happened many times before and it’s going in the same direction now.
@@themobbdeep66While his analogy is off, the main point is true. This set is mid and horrible to open. Sword and Shield had bad rates too but when it was current it was almost always at MSRP. People aren’t excited to spend $10+ on a pack and take a complete bath. Yes, evolving skies was tough to rip; but when it was current it was at cost. For a long time. This is completely different and the market is reacting to that by saying “not touching this.” And rightfully so, because it’s not a fun set to open
@@flambookey sure, but the set is non comparable to Vivid Voltage. Actually, there's no comparison. Prismatic has been unprecedented and this situation has never actually happened before to this extent. Personally I had a lot of fun opening this set at MSRP and pulled some really good cards. To each their own.
