Yeah the Marine seeing his baby for the first time ended me. I was actually pretty under control up until that point. Much respect to all the guys and girls that guard us while we sleep, and eternal thanks to those that never got to come home.

Just imagine working your ass off, fighting for your life then after retirement or a break from the army/marines/navies etc. And just seeing you daughter/son crying in your shoulders. (2nd part:) coming home to your daughter with her child in her hands, I’ve never had a parent in the military but it’s just glorious seeing children/teens/adults seeing their father/mother, its awesome seeing people happy.

I am from India and my dad had served in the kargil war 1999, fortunately he made it to the home. Now he retired from Army in 2019 after 30 years of his long service. .😢❤

My husband returned home to Australia from Vietnam 50 yrs ago, never to be the same again..the horrific reason was something no man should have to bare, we battle thru this but it’s so hard…my love and hugs to any serviceman that has suffered and any spouse who has travelled that route with their husbands..

As the daughter of someone who didn't get this kind of reception when he came home from either of his tours in Vietnam, it makes my heart swell to know that OUR soldiers are now respected in this way. Thank you to those who served and continue to serve, and thank you to those who share these videos.
I am South African, and although our govt is not pro US, having studied there, I am! This warms my heart, these families make a massive sacrifice for their country. I wish every member of the armed forces could come home. Fighting for what is right often cost the most valuable price of all... lives. I honour all US members of the forces, thank you for your service and each and every sacrifice you and your families have made.

I have actually seen this myself with my nephew when he returned home from Iraq. It was a happy moment but very emotional to watch with the children’s reactions. I’m so thankful that my grandchildren went into the Marine Corp and finished before having children. We LOVE our soldiers. Thank God for all who have sacrificed their lives for us.

I guess you never get over losing your dad. I wish everyone could have a close bond with their dad. I never realized how lucky I was to have that
@@karenevanoff8586 Wow RIP to your dad. In WW2 my grandfather was a partisan in Yugoslavia fighting against the Italians/Croatians/German Nazis. He passed at 90 years old a few years ago, but in his final year alive we would sit and he'd talk in detail about all of his notable experiences in life including the war. In the last few months, he knew he was dying, he could feel it, and he was trying to pass on as many valuable memories and as many golden pieces of life advice that he could possibly give.
