dreamcatcher is so unbelievably underrated,, i hope this is the era they finally get their first win. they deserve it so much
We’re pretty new to dreamcatcher and just reacted to their new song boca, soooooo good😩 can’t believe they haven’t had a win yet!?!? They deserve more recognition🤦♂️
They actually do quite well. Their first day sales for Dystopia: Lose Myself were about 25k. They outsell (sometimes drastically) other groups that have gotten wins like Oh My Girl, Everglow, CLC, etc. They hurt the most in digitals for the title track, but at least Boca managed to snag a spot on the instiz real time charts (Dreamcatcher’s first showing on it). Their progression is always up and will probably continue that way.
Unfortunately they often get stacked against huge groups during their promotional cycles. If you look at all their comebacks since they had enough popularity to possibly snag a win (so You & I through Boca), they’ve had to go up against BTS for half of their comebacks! (3 out of 6). The worst selling artist they’ve gone up against in any of their 2018 - 2020 comebacks has been Monsta X with about 175k album sales lol.
I think it's safe to say that they are beginning to pass the underrated phase. They are doing so well this comeback! Plus I'd rather have DC have the amount of fans now more than a majority because it proves that every single one of us came here for the music and the girls, and not to hop on the bandwagon

Fun fact... starting with You & I, Dreamcatcher has NEVER had a promotional period where they’ve gone up against an act with less than 175k album sales (Monsta X) and even during that period, they also had to contend with Taemin at about 120k sales too. HALF of their comebacks starting with You & I (3 out of 6) have had to go up against BTS.
It’s really ridiculous. Barely any variety shows have invited Dreamcatcher on and they are almost never selected to perform at big concerts (they also can’t participate in any of the year end Gayos without a win) even though they are now in the top 10 best selling girl groups. Something just feels off with the way the industry treats them... but, hey, Dystopia: Lose Myself still got over 25k sales on its first day regardless. And internationally, Scream is in the top 10 for most streamed girl group songs for 2020 on Spotify as well. It’s amazing how far they’ve made it given the limited exposure they get domestically

From my dance days, being a great dancer and learning choreography fast were two totally different skills. (You could be the best dancer but might take longer to pick things up)
When it came to auditions, being able to pick things up quickly was more important. I’m amazed at how fast these girls learn such fast sequences

메세지 하나 쓰고싶어서 찾아보다 왔습니다.
여러 영상들 봤는데.. 춤 동작들이 되게 체력소모 심해보이는데도 엄청 깔끔하고.. 멤버 7명이 진짜 이거 CG인가 싶을 정도로 동작 맞는거 보고 소름이 돋을 정도예요. 그정도로 잘 맞으려면 연습량도 어마어마하겠구나 싶고... 실제 무대라면 한둘이 살짝 박자를 놓친 일도 있을텐데 그런 티도 안 나는걸로 봐서도.. 같이, 그리고 각자.. 스스로 노력을 해야 그게 서로 맞춰지는 거니까요... 더 더 계속 잘 됐으면 좋겠어요. 오래 볼 수 있는 그룹이었으면 해요.
