I found similarities with his sixth symphony, second movement, in the first movement (4:55 and 15:50 for example) of this marvelous piece. Atterberg is great, I won't never tell it enough. Thanks for uploading.
Kurt Atterberg's piano concerto is my favorite of all piano concerto's. It truly is a remarkable composition. I hope one day my favorite pianist Yuja Wang would perform it.
I enjoy Atterberg a lot more when I don't take it so seriously and see the musical stakes aren't so high as I used to think they were. Thanks for uploading this, it's helping me see the lighter side of his works.
2 Atterberg posts in one day?! Awesome!!

Wow ! I like this . Interesting form and the material succeeds in every way !
Incredible double concerto.
I hope that the 5th Symphony will appear on this channel soon...

Also helps when you know the music culture of the 1960s. Helps to put his music in context.
Interesting. The harmonies remind me of Percy Grainger.
Atterberg and Grainger were almost exact contemporaries! Only a few years apart in age.
So good!!! Where did you find the music?
Could you please share this score? I would be very thankfull.
I have it here: www.dropbox.com/s/hyceqo6w2rkalb3/Double%20Concerto%20for%20violin%20cello%20and%20orchestra.pdf?dl=0
