EPR Compliance Important Notice for Plastic Waste Registered Entities Final

The CPCB has Issued a crucial notification on 19th August 2024 Regarding the Environmental Compensation (EC) for the entities under the EPR Framework.
This Notification specifically addresses to Producer, Importer, Brand Owner (PIBO) and Plastic Waste Processor (PWP) who have not met their EPR Obligation for the Financial Year 2022-23.
These Notification are issued by the CPCB Department separately-
1. Shortfall in EPR Target for PIBO
The first Notification is directed for PIBO’s who have short fallen of their EPR Target. The Companies that did not achieve the required recycling or processing Target for Plastic waste.
2. Non Submission of annual report for PIBO’S
The Second Notification target PIBO’s (Producer, Importer and Brand Owner) who Failed to submit their annual reports for the FY 22-23, Non- compliance in reporting is considered as serious legal penalties by the CPCB Department.
3. Non Submission of annual report for PWP
The Third Notification is for Plastic waste Processor (PWP) who have also failed to submit their annual report. They are required to submit their activates annually basis and failure to do so has led to penalties by the CPCB Department.
You need to complete the EPR Registration online on the website of CPCB (Central Pollution Control Board).
