Some times the police don't show up because it's a minor fender bender. You and the other driver just exchange insurance information and you take pictures of both cars.
Yeah like if you were rear ended and you can both pull over and exchange info then you don’t have to call the police. Unless the flee the scene and you have the cars info.

not true... When I was rearended the cops showed up and it's a good thing they did because the dumbass that hit me wanted me NOT to call the cops... but my insurance got her ass so ❤

Glad you are okay from all those accidents!
As someone who works in car insurance always do the following:
Take a PHOTO of the other persons drivers license AND insurance card (if possible)
Take down their license plate
Take note as to where the accident happened!!! Street name, county, city, state.
Ask does anyone need an ambulance?
Call the police and get a report.
If the police don’t show up and your car is drivable, go to the local police station with all the info you gathered and make a report.
THEN call your insurance company ❤

I was involved in a wreck getting hit by a drunk driver (2020). Very first wreck and it was traumatic! I have such bad anxiety driving now. Back and neck pain at 23 years old. Then April this year I got my brand new car totaled by someone who Tboned me and still dealing with injuries. It’s disappointing that other people cause wrecks that can injure the innocent ones.

OMG this is CRAZY. So backstory, I go to college in East Texas and I’m from Fort Worth so I’m constantly on I20 to go to marshall, tx (30min after longview). THERE WAS A HUGE WRECK THAT STOPPED US FOR 1 & 1/2 HOURS!! This was during thanksgiving break so maybe yall were the ones I passed???

I'm sure you regret it and I REALLY don't make you want to feel worse, but I hope this teaches you to keep Marlee in a carrier next time. But I'm glad you guys are okay! Car accident PTSD/trauma is a hard thing to go through, so hopefully if you are dealing with that you are able to cope. After I got rearended I haven't been able to drive without anxiety.
Also if you ever get in an accident again, don't trust that your car is totaled if it isn't. My car is "totaled" but it runs perfectly fine. Granted I fucked up my front bumper, victim of hit and run when my car was parked, and got rearended :) so

Getting out of the car is actually more dangerous 😢 a friend of mine was in an accident and then got out and was hit by a car and passed. It’s definitely safer for people to stay. But omg I have the worst driving anxiety from car accidents.
