This one was beautiful and well done for his friend and I hope y'all enjoy it as much as I did.

The song suic!de is about joe and also for joe continues that story. It’s a guilt Ren has carried his whole adult life. Another couple of good ones is “chalk outlines” and “how to be me” is how he felt after losing Joe.
Ren is self taught on the guitar and piano.
Nobody is ready for Ren, but we all get sucked in.
Ren had words for Joe. His song. For Joe is also piano and words.
Word of warning. Never end a Ren video before it has played out. On occasion, there are wee gems at the end which are worth seeing.

Callum Mackay drowned when he went swimming in adverse conditions. A friend of him also drowned while trying to save him: Lewis Darroch. Side story: The pilot of the helicopter that came to their aid was Prince William of Wales, who was serving in a naval rescue squadron at the time.

Nice reaction. I discovered Ren about a year ago and I find it hard to find the words to explain his impact on me. I'm 64 and have enjoyed a lifetime of incredible music. As many others will have said, he is self taught on several instruments. He is so talented, it is incredible. It is a long and beautiful journey discovering RENs music. It is always a good idea to check the description before reacting as he puts information or just the lyrics there. ❤
Thanks you giving this piece the honor it deserves. Ren has called the music the closest thing to God that he knows. He even wrote a series of songs celebrating his love of music, the first more than 10 years ago; they are called Love Music Parts 1-4). Pure fun.

One of the many things Ren has mastered is using his surroundings to change the sound of his music. He understands acoustics of a location like no one I've ever seen or heard. AMAZING
Yes! The same attention to detail goes into his video directing. Josh and Sam do a great job of bringing Rens visions to life behind the camera so he can bring the music and the performance to life in front of the camera. Perfection !! Zen !!
His music has changed my life one song at a time. His passion for his message has given me hope. I can't recommend the 1 million speech more. There's something different about Ren, and I honestly believe he's changing the world, one Renegade at a time. Looking forward to watching your journey unfold!

Back on 74 message in a bottle by Ren, but in all honesty all of his songs are different. He was a busker in the UK with a band. He is now in Canada getting the proper treatment for Lyme disease after several misdiagnoses. He is a modern day minstrel or bardcore.
You're going to get so many requests for so many artists but our Ren is something special. You'll find yourself wanting to jump right back into Ren on your own. He is a multi genre, genre bending, modern day bard. Self taught with the help of UA-cam. He was meant for this. A literal inspiration. The Ren family will pile up on this channel with you! Get ready! As well as The Hog family and FIR family and so on. I hope you enjoy the journey my friend! 💙

Legit reaction 🤍 The deeper you go into the rabbit hole the more you'll feel all the emotions. You should go for either the Money Game trilogy or the tales ( Jenny and Screech ) which is also a trilogy. Also he has some great interviews out there as well. The guy really is out of this world. There is no artist out there like Ren.
Wasn’t that just SO good? I wish he would do a whole album of just piano. That was indeed deep. The piano is one of the most magical instruments.
He speaks through his instruments just like prince did, which is why i can't help thinking of prince when i listen to Ren. i like to think if prince was still alive he'd be a fan of Rens. he plays piano and guitar so beautifully, you can hear the stories in all his music. how you interpret-ate it is up to you i guess.

You havent figured us Renagades out yet. 😂its ok. We listen to all genres. Not just Ren. Ren listens to all Genres. He is old school also. Free will. And when he recommends someone - it is not just his style artist. Know that. example Asaf Avidan "900 days" etc. Multi versed artizt also...
Ok--at age 21 he lost his childhood friend Joe to suicide. Then 6 months later he found out his other long term friend Callum passed. Because 2 friends so close together he couldnt process Callums death for a long time. He sat at his keyboard one day a year ago and messing about with melodies and this poured out of him. Ren is like Stevie Ray Vaughn where music just pours out of him. He is self taught musically squirretnis is shot in calgary canada( where in treatment for lymes disease) at a fossil site. This sonb has me crying each time i hear it. So beautiful. Squirrel- with Callum he had died before he knew. Same with joe.

There are many tearjerkers in his fantastic catalogue (many mentioned in the comments) but if you want something more light-hearted" back on 74/ message in a bottle" retake is great.
Look at Rens Back Caterlogue. and the Fantastic Artists he has performed with the Band he was in who did Busking in Brighton England 🏴. Ren & Chinchilla. Ren & Sam Thomkins, Ren & Eden Nash ,Ren & Liv Sangster live studio. Session. Best jamming I've seen.
He's self taught on both piano and guitar. He learned to play guitar by watching videos on Jimi Hendrex over and over again until he became proficient.

New sub. I’m enjoying your reactions. When it comes to Ren one of the things I most appreciate about him is how he’s a “Rising Tide Lifts All Boats “thinker/performer. He loves collaborations, loves doing mashups of other artists works, is always ready to share the pie and to turn the spotlight on other artists.
Last year he did that with an American singer/guitarist named Dirt Miller and his song Kansas City, and this is one that I think you might really love to have in your sights. Dirt Miller’s voice and playing style is absolutely unique and the man comes from an insanely hard-scrabble background - and he channels it in incredible story-telling. He and Ren are both sorts of bards. Miller is definitely the grittier but just sampling of his catalogue will show you a man who both remembers the taste of his own blood and tears and who can also lift up the smallest of creation for the exaltations of his guitar work.
Hit that one - Dirt Miller’s Kansas City. Tell him Ren sent you.
He ALWAYS leaves you wanting and needing more! Amazing reaction and heartfelt. You rock! ❤

I’m very rarely into purely instrumental music, but this somehow felt like Ren was playing words. A stunning and perfect tribute to his friend 🖤
The Ren rabbit hole is deep and wide. He’s gonna keep surprising you. For now, if you want to know more about Joe, please check out Freckled Angels, Suicide, and For Joe. In that order. The last one is extra special if you know the first two before going into it. Aside from doing those songs in order of release as well as doing the full trilogy of tales (Jenny, Screech, and Violet) in order and one sitting, you can’t really go wrong with Ren. Pull any song out of a hat and it will be great 😅 Including anything from the bands he’s been in: Trick the Fox and The Big Push. Ren is just special 🐰🕳️

So much Ren to recommend but "For Joe" would be the perfect follow up to Mackay. Also on the Piano. But with very deep lyrics. Great Reaction!
I would suggest 'Suic!de first bc the lyrics at the end of that song are the same ones at the beginning of For Joe but more impactful in my opinion in Suic!de as a first watch.
I would suggest Freckled Angels and then Suicide before For Joe. It makes it more special.

This is my first time hearing this song by Ren and I was on the edge of tears with the emotion that came through in song. That was Divine. Love Ren... That was an insightful break down of the various moods that came through in this beautiful melody.

Sadly the last time he seen Callum alive was at Joe's funeral, 6mos before Callum die. Joe took himself out, Callum died in a cliff diving accident.

I fully support you jumping around as you explore Ren's catalog with two MAJOR caveats! DO NOT DO Jenny's Tale, Screeches Tale, or Violet's Tale out of order. Those 3 videos tell a complex story and MUST be seen in order to get the full devastating impact. There's a 13 minute version that includes all 3. That's the best way to experience them. Also, WHAT WENT WRONG PT. 1 should definitely be done before PT. 2, but otherwise, even the other numbered songs don't require listening in order, so go nuts. And if I didn't mention it before, a heartfelt thank you for your service!

Yeah i understand not wanting to just one artist all in once. If nobody said it, (most likely said already) he was bitten by a tick and got Lyme Disease. And for years no doctor found it. He finally did find a doctor who said without tests said Ren has Lyme. Sick Boi sings about how bad the medical system is. Subscribed. And going to look at your other reactions.

Good decision going to his latest after Hi Ren. I would suggest staying with his latest which is Halftime (his retake of a Rap classic) then do Back on 74 retake which really shows off his vocals. That will cover his 3 most recent songs. Subscribing for more Ren💕👍🦇
