Happy birthday Pete!
Happy birthdayyyy man ❤️🎉
Happy Birthday Champ 👍🏼
Happy Birthday
Happy birthday!🎉🎉🎉
A photographer asked me a few weeks ago how did I get good at the photography I shoot. I told him that I still don't consider myself as a good photographer and that I am still learning. I feel like there is always something new to learn. It's good to see guys, at your stage and influence, in the game still sharing that they've learnt something new. This type of video resonates with me. I don't think tutorials are dead. I don't think tutorials will ever die. Love this video. As always, keep up the good work. Much appreciated.
I feel the same always the padawan lol. I think it's good that there's always something to learn for me it's exciting
Iceland is so surreal that it's easy to go trigger happy and take thousands of photos anywhere you look. Everyone focuses on the waterfalls and jeez that is not even the prettiest thing. There is SO much more! Love that country.
the best there is
or maybe not the best lol, many good places, but iceland is great for sure lol
Have any of you noticed that Peter is featuring other creators more often? What a fantastic way to support others and build community!
Oh, a video where Pete collaborated with a genius creator to create a tutorial editing content from Iceland? A classic Peter McKinnon recipe we all love and appreciate.
anyone who is not investing now is missing a great opportunity imagine investing 1,000 and receiving 7,300 profit. Mr Adam Walter
@Marcos otamendi Same here, I earn $13,000 a week. GOD bless Adam, he has been a blessing to my family.
I think I'm blessed because if not I wouldn't have met someone who is as spectacular as expert Adam I think he is the best broker I ever seen
He has really made a good name for himself, please how can I contact the Adam Walter?
I countlessly share my experience with co-workers at work, on how I made $23,000 from $2,000 in 7 days of trading
This is so great, I really love taking the time to revisit all the foundational steps into editing in Lightroom!
I took his course on wildist and it was a huge eye opener for me. I’m a hobbyist, i don’t do landscape in Iceland but his tips were still so so applicable to photography in general. Manipulating the light was my favorite takeaway
At least 85-90% of the time I spend on editing is mask edits, esspeically for photos that require major light correction, or that would benefit from seperation between key focus areas.
I'll say this, Ben is 100% correct, once you begin to look at light differently while editing you'll never look at photography and editing the same way again!
I am totally the same. Ever since I got into masking my entire workflow has changed and my edits look 10 times better. My photography friends are like how do you get your edits like this.
Thanks Peter to draw the attention to Benjamin. How great are these lightroom adjustments. AWESOME! Really appreciate.
You are by far the one person that inspired me the most to pursue my love for photography. Been following you for years and your work is always inspiring and motivating.
Keep it up, Pete!
I've been working in Photoshop & Lightroom for YEARS professionally and I still learn new things from your videos. Always a joy! (Also, I want to snuggle that cute little fox!)
Been so waiting for this! Thanks for delivering Peter. Great reminder how 'LIGHTING' is *EVERYTHING!!* My wife's been shooting wedding's and it's all about the lighting..just makes sense that the same holds true with landscape photography as well....thanks for the reminder!
Thank you for this video. I'm new to editing, but been feeling like my photos are missing some punch, largely due to not having the subject "pop". This completely changes the feeling of my recent pictures.
This is amazing man. Like we already know what how to do some masking in lightroom but this isn't the first thing you intend to do when you edit your photos, reshaping light!. Simply amazing. Thank you Benjamin and Peter. Looking forward on that full iceland video
I have the perfect photo I took recently that I have never been happy with and this technique might just save it! Thanks to you both and Happy Birthday Pete!
I really love doing this to my photos! Really adds some character to the photo, makes it more immersive imo. Great video!!
Omg! Ben’s all black setup just blew my mind and gave me literal chills.
Looks stunning. Complements his editing style too, I think.
Ben does some amazing work! Always great seeing the collab with other amazing photographers
these are techniques I have been using since I started learning photoshop…in 1997. Benjamin has totally mastered it. 100% do all the same with my current photography.
That Jeeeeepp!!! Iceland was the first trip abroad I ever took… backpacked through the country for 18 days and it is an incredible place. Both of you helped bring back memories, thanks as always Pete
I've been doing it since the pandemic. In the lockdown I couldn’t go anywhere so processed a bunch of old photographs. It came naturally to me when I was stuck with a lot of flat images. It's a great way to liven up a dull photo.
this whole video with ben reminds me of being back in my actual dark room doing manual dodge and burn editing but on a computer. crazy how these things go full circle.
Happy Birthday Pete! I love these kinds of videos, great way to finish off my friday, haha.
Happy Birthday, Peter! Thanks for the video
Happy birthday Peter!! 🥳
Thanks so much for teaching and inspiring us all❤
Love your videos. However, these type of videos are my FAVORITE!!!! I have learned so much from these type of videos! I reference them in my actual classroom lessons often! Thank you Professor McKinnon!
That's so helpful! Thank's Pete. And happy birthday!!
Kind of a proud moment for myself as i knew how to do this before the video and it does super duper help with adding just that little bit of pop to a photo even if you have a subject
Worked great with a musician photos where they wanted that vast expansion of space around. I.e. like a field but was able to draw the eye in using this method on a whole new level 👏🙌
I just started to play with this, love it, the color adjust really makes sense.
This is so helpful! Thank you Pete and Ben! Also happy birthday Pete!
Thank you, Pete!!! Great information and beautiful photos!
❤❤❤ thank you Peter for a wicked glimpse as to how to bring some tricky shots to life. Benjamin is certainly a wizard with lightroom! 🎉🎉🎉Happy bday Mr Scorpio! Feliz cumpleaños from Australia!
Wow this was awesome! Thanks Pete and Ben! So looking forward to seeing your photos and videos from Iceland! Also, happy birthday! 🎉
You know what I’ve actually done that before and it came out great, reshaping light, I only did it in one photo but I loved it, didn’t even know it was a real thing I was just trying something one day ❤
love the newer Jeep but I do LOVE how the OLD Defender goes everywhere. That is a beast and a piece of engineering.
Yes!! This is the good stuff. Thank you PM
Yeeesssss !!!! Love these editing videos… it helps so much!!
Happy Birthday Pete, you are such a gem of a human and thank you for the light you bring to the community!
That just blew my mind, too. It’s awesome!!
I’m gonna try it out right away!!
Thanks Pete!! I love you lightroom or photoshop hacks always😍
Thanks for this tips in LR, another great video.!!
This whole video gives me chills!!!
This makes me so happy cuz I’ve always done this with the brush tool. Love the vids man.
You're amazing! Happy birthday Peter McKinnon! Glad you enjoyed Iceland! 😊
The Iceland footage is so beautiful😍 Loving this vid 🔥 amazing Pete 💯 always inspiring us creators 🔥
Holy good god, this unlocks so much in such a simple way
Depending on the image/client I've been doing most of my retouching in lightroom lately, much the same way as Ben.
In the past I felt like light shaping with multiple masks would just not play nicely with Lightroom and my computers performance and was only achievable in PS. I do my grading in LR then open it in PS and go wild. And I still do that, but with the latest improvements to lightroom, without impacting the performance of my macbook as much it's been awesome to use LR as a one stop shop.
More people need to know about it, so thanks for sharing Peter and Ben!
you are the reason my branding service exists you are my inspiration and i thank you for that keep it up my brother
Two photographic geniuses in one video. Can't beat it!
Happy Birthday big dog 🤘🏽
So awesome! Great post! I have been to Iceland and it was so beautiful. Can’t wait to go back 🤘🏽 Great post Pete! 🏴☠️
So I’ve just added Iceland to my travel bucket list. Incredible place, the world is filled to overflowing with beauty. Also I’m totally going to try and use this as an editing challenge for my creative community. KEEN! Thanks Pete Happy Halloween & Happy Birthday, may it still be the beginning, not the middle of an endless adventure.
loving it!
Holy crap! The lighting on Ben in his instructional part of this video is awesome too.
Happy returns of the day fav!! ❤️
Amazing video! Thank you to Benjamin Hardman for those tips, I use lightroom all the time but forget to use the masks too! I learnt using brushes which took forever 🤣 but got used to it a bit too much. Thank you Peter for making me feel more human by saying you forget to ultlize them too!
Christ. Ben’s light re-shaping is like magic. Very impressed. 👏great video.
Hek yeah! Benjamin Hardman is the best ❤
Awesome tip! Stunning shots!
Thank you Pete, and thank you Benjamin!!
wow, that's impressive! The editing plays a huge role in the final result on a photo!
Well thats great to know I've been doing it the right way the last few week🙌 I feel it has completely changed the quality of our images with the new updates to lightroom and Camera Raw.
Just took the drone out and had this issue! Super helpful! Also the color range mask is unreal.
Shaping light is one of my favorite LR techniques! Great Vid!!
This is amazing ! 👏 happy belated birthday Pete! 📸🔥🤙
I’ve done something similar for a while although not taken quite as far and it’s great for taking an otherwise good photograph that just didn’t have the right conditions and bringing some life to it.
Ive been doing this too for a bit but not to the extent that Ben does! Thanks so much for this great video - gotta go play around with photos now!
This is like mindblowing fr
Started applying those masks on Lr just with my iPhone and my photos have leveled up 10x. Freaking love you Peter. Always love your content.
It's like he took the name Lightroom to a whole new level. Amazing way to reshape the lighting on that mountain.
and thanks to you for sharing Ben's work!
I love Iceland! So jealous that you spent it there with THE Benjamin Hardman. Big fan of you both. Photos look amazing! 🤩
Love this Pete
Cool stuff right there, Thanks Peter!!
Excellent Tutorial Video. Thank You Peter.
I FREAKING LOVE THIS!!!! Oh my days....
Super informative video. Thank you!
I was there a week before you got there, and have tons of pics too! This video was so helpful! Love you! ❤
Very cool "old style" video! I liked it very much!
Love these tutorials
Brilliant video. Thank you both.
Love this!!
Peter McKinnon comes out with the fast is smooth, smooth is fast like an equipment operator. When Lr released the new masking tools these were the types of mask combinations that really caught my eye.
Just amazing. Y’all are perfect. Do more content together. And again thank you so much for inspiring me.
There is a lot to learn from this episode.
Thanks for sharing with us 🙏
Love this video and tips from Benjamin! Edits are crisp ✨✨✨
Like magic. I love it! Happy Birthday, Peter!
