I have watched so many tutorials on how to use the can o worms stacking system. But by far, yours is the tops 😊 On the basis of what you have shown I have ordered my first can o worms. Thank you so much. By the way, I am an avid fan and if I want to know anything on worms, your channel, Worm Ohana is my definite go to. Keep up the good work that you do.
best complete instructions I’ve seen, thankyou so much. started my worm farm almost two months ago and was keen to find out when i should add the next level. ❤
I am new to the worm farm and just love your videos. I bought a farm of stack trays that were already started but it was still complicated to me. I have watched allot of different videos but yours have clarified the whole system the most and I greatly appreciate it.
I’ve had my can-o-worms for years. I’ve never thought to take off the top cover to let it dry out and the worms to go down to the next tray. I’m alway dealing with the arduous task of separating castings from worms and eggs! I’m so glad I watched this video and I liked and subbed. Just goes to show you that even a seasoned worm grower can learn something new!
I like this bin, better, really than totes I've used in the past Stacking trays gave better ventilation, and also provide structure to one's worm program. They helps answer the question, "what do I do next?" This Can O Worms has a rectangular, sister bin, the Worm Cafe, also made by Tumbleweed. I have the Worm Cafe. It is spacious, with 3 trays, but the finished trays are of reasonable weight, which helps when it is time to switch out the levels. The Worm Cafe lid has hooks so it can sit right on the top tray, out of the way when opened. You can also set that lids on a surface up side down, and move the top bin, and the second one, on top of it so you can view, or remove, the third tray. Can of worms only comes with 2 trays now. Worm Cafe has 3. Both are sold at Home Depot.
Thank you for this excellent instructional video. I'm assuming when you bring the bottom tray up to the top to begin the drying process, you remove it to feed and water the second tray during this time before collecting the vermicompost. Thanks for clarification.
Zamazing! This looks like fun, I'm excited to start, and this was very straight forward! Learning about smaller creatures and their purpose, I am amazed at the creation of worms! Thank you for sharing this knowledge🙏 I have a greater appreciation for the work that they (worms) and you do. 💖💖
Wow, what a great presentation! But I Dr worry it’s not for me - I’m a mainlander (Florida) and your instructions vary a bit from what I’ve heard for our area, especially how much water should be used. Perhaps you address thaw at later so I’ll e watching!
My question is, right now we are entering winter. Can I start this now in December in an unheated garage? Most winters the temperatures in my garage get down to 35-40 degrees. Can the worms survive this?
I have my tower farm outside in the sun because it's winter and for Florida temps have been low in the high 50's. Worms seem to be doing good. It looks like the bottom tray is a little too moist so I have put in some dry coco coir to pull out the moisture. Now, 10 days later, I'm am ready to harvest the bottom tray and moved it to the top. It still seems a little too moist but worms are alive. My top tray will now have shredded paper, veggies etc. I cover it at night to keep it from getting cold. How am I doing? I think about the worms allot and revisit your videos almost daily. I don't think I could let them go for 2-3 months just feeding once a week. Am I crazy??? By the way, my husband bought me a raised bed for Christmas which I am going to plant and put in the pvc pipe with worms I've been reading about. Then I can use some of the compost.
BEST CAN-O-WORMS VIDEO!

You can use some stainless steel mesh over the spigot drain to stop worms exiting when draining .
Where can you find the “Can of Worms” set. Is it available in the States (Texas ?)?
