YESSSS. You have no idea how sad and mad it makes me seeing all the 1X-3X sizes sold out cause i just know more than half of those purchases are from girls that just want to look “comfy and cute” i can never buy any cute clothes in my size cause theyre always sold out and theres only XS to L left 😢
@@anacarlos in general. every store i have ever been to except plus size stores (which usually caters to older women and never any cute clothes.) Thrifting is three times more difficult. It’s the reason I hate shopping for clothes, i love shopping but I dread when it comes to trying to find new clothes I actually like. most times i wear things just bc they actually fit.

As others said, I appreciate her mentioning that bigger sizes are hard to find at the thrift, even more so good quality plus size pieces. I also agree with her prioritizing fabric when thrifting. Anything slightly wonky, big, small (sometimes), long can be fixed and altered. Crappy fabric can't and you will likely NOT wear it.

I started shopping at a vintage (really it's just local granny and granpappy clothes that were donated) I'm 35 now and I will willingly die and be buried in this beautiful town. I briefly got into the modeling industry (without an agent) but I just felt like people really didn’t see me. If you’re comfortable I would be interested in hearing about how you stay true to yourself and your style in an industry that tries to make you fit their mold.
