Yes! That is probably the biggest thing that Jesus has taught me: the importance of confessing our sins and genuinely repenting for them. I have a Catholic background, so I saw that being used as a way to make people feel guilty to control and manipulate them. So I didn’t give much thought to repentance. But when Jesus started talking to me, He showed me how vital it really is to our salvation.
