Honestly even if physical media does eventually die out I will always support it because I can’t stand digital only consoles or movies exclusive to streaming platforms because the beauty of physical media is that you own it forever but with streaming services their owned under a license which means they eventually get taken from the service permanently.
I just got screwed about a month ago by one of my local GWs. They had a Nintendo Wii bundle in a box priced for $30! I snagged it and went up to the counter. The cashier for some dumb reason decided they were confused and the hand written $30 on the tag. And kept asking me what it said. I kept saying it says $30. After staring at me for about 8 seconds with a dumbfounded look says “I need to call the manager”….. I knew they would t sell it to me after that. After the first one looked dumbfounded the second manager was called up. They said they do t usually sell this stuff at this location and said I’ll have to look for it on their website… I was so angry! How can you just take something away from a customer once it was clearly priced and put out on the sales floor. They are so shady. I’m in that store daily on my way home from work. I also donated almost exclusively to that store. I told them fine keep it but you won’t be getting any donations from me ever again.
That’s so weird. I can’t imagine that they’d get much more than that at auction anyways since a Wii is such a common item, but the amount that some stuff goes for on their website always surprises me.
my brother worked at a goodwill for a bit and it would disgust me beyond belief the pictures he'd send of the stuff they'd get for free, boxes full of rare exclusive nintendo 64s with tons of games and controllers and all sorts of other game systems with 100s of dollars worth of add ons and games, knowing not only do these scum bags not sell them in store but put them on their scummy auction site only.
@@ObjoGaming agreed mate. last time i ever went was to look for cheap clothes for a costume for a halloween party and the prices were so ridiculous even on those, they need to be discontinued.

Ever since the Goodwill auction site launched going to their physical store has been pointless
