I get the feeling that the Stocklands shopping centre and the cinema helped shelter some houses in the Park Avenue area. It didn't seem this blowy or rainy during the day.
I don't know if you guys are brave or stupid. I will go with brave! I was holed up in my house terrified and you guys are outside and driving about and standing in the middle of it all. I was worried the guy in the yellow jacket was going to get blown away under SFair. I am shocked at the amount of water in the Stocklands car park. Thank you so much for taking the time and braving the elements to take this footage. I hope you are both safe and well and your homes and families are all OK.
I was 4 and at that time I was in mount Morgan, the power went out and I freaked out. When the cyclone was over the power was said to be turned off for 10 days but dad turned on the generator. It was scary
