@@rolandcsuka1829 Sorry, you little "over-excited" McLaren fanboy, but "2.2 seconds from 0-100 kmh" with only RWD isn't very realistic for this car.
Maybe 2.8 seconds is the fastest what a 720S can do from 0-100 kmh. But at the end it has no fucking chance against an "only 650 PS" Porsche 992 911 Turbo S, which has an ultra effective AWD and the best launch control system on the market, which needs only 2.4 seconds from 0-100 kmh. Because its "official figures" of 2.8 seconds are heavily conservative, like we all know from Porsche.
The McLaren 720S is a very light car and it has a very effective power to weight-ratio of course, therefore its nearly 800 hp simply don't have to fight very big resistances on a straight line...
But at the end it's also just a 350.000 Euro ultra expensive useless toy for some showing off guys with too much money.
The 720S has absolutely no daily driver capabilities at all... period! This sports car is just totally unrealiable, like we all know, no matter what you can see in this video!
For "impressing people- and some other showing off reasons" maybe it's a perfect toy, but a 911 Turbo S which is built with German seriousness, German quality and reliability and with the newest tech features, just eats a 720S any day, any week on a German Autobahn at high speed driving!
A Porsche 911 Turbo S is an absolutely bullet proof weapon as an "every day / daily driver top speed machine" compared to a McLaren 720S. With such a McLaren you won't do speeds like in this video very often on a German Autobahn, until you will have guaranteed and very costly damages of engine and transmission, like we all know very well from McLaren cars! What you can see in this video is just a new car without many kilometers of this engine. Guess what will happen with such a car, when it has more than 40.000 kilometers on its tachometer?? At the end it's nothing but an ultra expensive and unreliable British bling bling trash "supersports car"!
How many models did McLaren make out of their weanwhile fucking boring formula "always the same carbonfibre chassis plus always the same 3.8 liter V8 turbo engine with always the same DCT-transmission"...? McLaren introduces another "brandnew supersports car" every 4 months, but all these cars are literally all the same... LOL! They look all the same, they have all the same engine, with every time the same DCT transmission, they sound like any other model from McLaren before and so on...!
With other words: all these cars at a certain point are just fucking booooooooring and totally soulless, because they are literally all the same!
Driving top speed on a straight line of a German Autobahn can get very boring very easily, and it's quite dangerous too, usually when you don't have such less traffic due to Corona-virus-reasons on a crowded Autobahn... Just trust me, because as a German who drives very often and very fast on the Autobahn with speeds around (and above) 300 kmh, I know what I'm talking about high speed driving on the Autobahn.
The McLaren V8 just sounds like shit. Unfortunately todays "car testers" confuse such annoying "loudness and garishness" of the 720S V8 engine as "character", because they are mostly nothing more than just clueless and uncritical little fanboys of this car... like you too!
There's literally zero diversity in McLarens model line-up, and it's always just the same 300.000 to 800.000 Euro!!! (like for the ultra fugly Senna) super expensive mid-engined sports cars, which all sound the same.

A 720s utterly destroyed a 991.2 turbo s with 850hp, how should a bone stock 992 do better ?
911 are great cars, although i like the GT models better than the turbo/ turbo s.
Don't be a fool, the 720s runs sub 10 seconds on the quarter mile stock, there's no way a turbo s can compete.
Brooks stock 720s ran 2.3 seconds 0-96 kph on toyo r888 tires on the drag strip, 3.5 for a normal street run with stock tires is amazing
@@User-th6yy don't forget the run with the 918 Spyder. The 720S kept up so closely that if the other driver botched the launch by _that_ much, it would be over for the 918. And then defeating the 918 around Willow Springs raceway, tanking almost any tuner under 900hp etc.

I only remember of a car reaching 300km/h so fast when I used to play Gran Turismo 4, with the Nissan R92CP, and the sound of the engine is similar.
McLaren's current engine design is actually derived from the engine used in the Nissan R390
The 100 to 200 is exceptional !! twice as fast as what would be considered a fast car... Wow.

Can't always rely on other people's dyno numbers and/or dyno numbers accuracy.
@@justino9241 its fast for a reason.. 720 hp and blows away everything? no way, its more for sure, and I believe the dyno results, several have done it... Even a M5 is more power than stock, so is my SL63, and an E63.. Everything is under rated last few years..

@@twfinc6855 Dynos and notoriously inaccurate though, they're good for comparing the increase in horsepower after a tune or comparing 2 cars but horrible for finding stock power.
Plus weight does not affect top speed, only acceleration, theoretically, if you chuck 1-ton of ballast into the car it'll still reach the same top speed albeit take forever to do so.
Unless you meant it destroys things when accelerating in which case power has no impact on acceleration, torque does, in which case the 720S not only has a little bit more torque than it's closest competitors (and much more than the Huracan) other than the F8, it has a much broader torque curve which means there's more torque for more time which is why it accelerates so quickly.

BLACK MAX The 765LT is a Track dar to compete against the GT2RS and 488 Pista. The 720S is their road super car from the super series. It doesn’t really compare to the 911 Turbo S, the 911 is a GT sports car. The closest competitor of the 911 turbo is the McLaren GT.

@@Schreibtisch1 Ehrlich? Ich versuche bei meinen Videos gerade eine andere Kamera zu(rück) zu etablieren, mag diese hektische POV Ruckelei nicht so gerne, aber bei manchen Autos geht es wahrscheinlich auch einfach nicht anders.
@@IIHerrKulesII Aber Ruckeln tut ja eigentlich nichts, die Kamera stabilisiert ja otpisch anscheinend ziemlich gut und durch den weiten Blickwinkel wirkt das ganz total smooth. Und es fühlt bei der POV auch vor allem ein weing so an als würde man selber im Cockpit sitzen.

I am glad that McLaren still uses hydraulic steering instead of electric.
As a result, steering feel should be outstanding!
This car is stupidly fast, I love it and no doubt its exhilarating to drive and experience but, I can't help but wonder whether a 720 is just too fast for the public road (excluding Germany) and in reality something like eg a 718 Cayman GT4 or GTS 4.0 might be more fun on the road as you can actually drive them harder.
I remember when 4.7 sec 0 -100km/h was pretty dam quick. This thing does 100 to 200 in that and 0-200 as quick as a golf 2.0tdi does 0-100 lol.
I remember being at the approx 2002/2003 Sydney motor show and hitting up the Mercedes stand. I was gob smacked at the E55AMG, it was putting out 350kw/700Nm of torque which was a big leap forwad at the time I reckon and these figures propelled this beast to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds I believe. Consider that now without launch control and a 57 speed DCT gear box.
Now any model 3 Tesla will beat it too 100 and use about 25l per hundred less.

Was it in sport mode or in track mode? I thought when you put it in the track mode the gauge with the speed and revs goes down. Or you can customize it? Just asking because you said you put everything in the most sporty mode and that is track mode.
U can put the gauge cluster up in track mode. There's a button on the left of the steering column iirc.

The wheel spin in second gear means cold tyres and loss of time.
Reckon your 4.7 100 to 200 is about as good as you could get but in better conditions should be able to shave 0.5 to 0.8 off the 0-100 meaning this thing potentially mid to high 7s 0-200 Which is just fucking nuts considering what you can buy them for now on the used market.
