I'm Sooo glad the HardAss 1000 is going ahead in memory of Harry. Such a cool eventand hopefully Harry having a few cordials and laughing about the ensuing antics.
You guys are so lucky with the toys you get to use nowdays, 40 years ago getting under a car with a gearbox on my chest to put in by hand makes me so jealous of what is on offer today
Cheers for the shout out fellas Michael, you're one of the first people ever to pronounce my surname correctly😁👌 Glad the Gemini gifts arrived safely, hope they come in handy. It won't hurt to have a 2nd fuel flap hinge in stock, trust me🤣🤣
@@HackshopGarage You're most welcome mate👌 I've been meaning to send the brake parts since one of the early Gemmy episodes, but the last Gem episode prompted me to get my S... together and make it happen😁
Hey Nathan did you mount the Astra pump at the front to keep the noise down? Most mount them under the guard behind the driver side wheel to keep the lines short.
Nice work. What shift kit you guys using? I'm looking for something for my build (Cortina-turbo barra- engineered) which I have a built BTR 4 speed going in it cheers
Hey boys, What shifter are you using for the BTR ? I just. Done a drop box in my XH Ute and mounted up the B&M Ratchet shifter… not overly keen on how it works
Michael if you open the laptop and allocate all the Haltech’s wiring to sensors injectors coils and inputs and outputs you then can print your loom schematic out from the Haltech’s software so much easier instead of following the basic wiring sheet they give you
How basic are the XD/XE dashboards! I kept looking for the taxi meter. Back in the day XD/XE taxis were everywhere. Now we just have uber's, hybrid & EV taxi's...... Can someone please take me back to the 80's?

Word of the day - sleep deprivation
Super impressed how much work you guys are getting done on the SeXE, keen as to see it rip a skid
Can definitely nutsert plastic, use the alloy ones and be gentle and they're great.
great episode guys.😃
You can use fibreglass nutserts on plastic as they flare out heaps compared to a standard nutsert
Seeing you guys are lacking in sleep, I thought i'd help out, the word of the day is "Spaghetti" 😂
I put a new UHF CB into my 4WD and nut serted into the plastic, I put a washer over the insert to sandwich the plastic, so far so good.

Those door handles are fine, it's the rods inside the door being straightened out from constant use and that brakes the handles.
Or the hinge bushes
Falcons rock
So Goats, move the XE crossmembers mounts back that way it looks stock.
Wire looms give me a headache.comming together guys awesome work!!
My first car was a xe .brings me back to
You guys will have to do a “Cop and robbers” skit with all these old cars soon. 🚓
noot noot!

Forethought? Planning ahead?

Lovely work boys, see you managed to get a dash mounted gauge holder, is it VDO original, or David Rossi aftermarket?
Get some billet door handles made. Made of Titanium, possibly vibranium or adamantium.
*Nonbreakium
I remember in the episode you guys bagged Nathan’s girlfriends fg Nathan said he was going to be doing the wiring on the xe 😂
Yeah cool video and that but the pengu noot noot is what it's all about 😂

That is very interesting. I will check that out
Less and less room under the dash for the A/C components 😂
Spaghetti Junction 👍

Might see you lads at the hardass1000 again
Yoooo … first 👍👍❤️❤️
The latch on the outside of the door. Remove it. Place a dob of mig weld on the little arm that operates the latch mechanism inside the door
Is Hardass still going ahead?
It is mate
@@HackshopGarage Harry wouldn’t want it any other way
