I might be weird but I have zero bills on autopay, and I just use my calander app and a spreadsheets to remind me when due dates are. I just pay all my bills on the 1st of the month for charges due through the next month. Then I know exactly when money leaves my account and when it goes into my account. I prefer the control of this method over having random payments flying out different times though the moth.
Problems come when something happens where you can't make the payments. If you get sick or injured. But congrats on keeping everything so organized. It's impressive.
Man, I’m the same way! I feel like it gives a much more clear picture on your finances! Get rid of all the over head in the beginning so you can budget correctly.

MYSTICFLIP is young. Holding almost anything mentioned here is a good hold because the VHS or Beta will only show in time. I want to hold them early. Its sad that most dont think of these things as good future holds instead of being out of the market and bottom hunting. Are we the adopters or are we scavengers? surely one of these layer ones will become the standard and i dont want to sell any of them too early.
I just got declined from Chase and got approved through the reconsideration line! Thanks!
What is the reconsideration line? Sorry if it’s in the video. Just found him and a little bit “antsy” lol
Really???
DAYUM
Just applied for the Chase Freedom, got denied because of my BK from 7 years ago, called the reconsideration line and got approved! There is hope and I’m definitely super thrilled finding this channel. Thanks Brian!
Dude I've been scared to open a credit card bc of fear of debt but the way you explained it it really put me at ease I really do appreciate it.
@@machinesnmetal if you have self control the only thing a credit card does is benefit you and create opportunity.

Thank you Brian for a tremendous info you pack in this video! Love the tip about calling the credit card company that you want to cancel and end up getting money just to keep the card open for years to come. Nice visual work and sound effects. Keep up the good work my man!
Thank you Duy!
a lot of value in this one, thanks Brian
Dragonfly! Thank you, Brian, for making this 43 minute video accessible and free. I imagine the amount of filming and editing to create the final product was immense. Again, thank you!
Dragonfly! Subbed and finally found a video that didn’t bore me to death, well thought out and so easy to understand. Thank so much for this.
Bro, my old friend recommended me to get started with credit cards. Got me hooked up with intial Amex and discover.
I’ve used them non stop for almost 5 years and have always made my payments on time.
I’m sitting with an almost 800 credit score and just got an exclusive invitation to a Mastercard black card (approved)
Makes a whole world of difference
Thank you for the extra info, definitely should be useful to people! :)
Daym brian the quality on the videos are going up allthe way to the moon
So glad to be seeing one of these…. Much needed for people now n days 💯👍🏽
I am looking into upgrading from my Discover Student Card that Ive used for over a year and this video cant be any more perfect. Thank you!
I’ve watched countless hours of credit card videos over the last year while I’ve been starting my credit card journey in this one video it sums up all the information I’ve gotten from everyone of the videos I’ve watched that your average person needs to know I know most people that are just getting into it are probably not going to watch a hour long video on it but I think it is perfect for them or even people that are already in the game but might have missed a few things on the way thanks a lot for the video
One of the best videos on youtube, more people need this information. Thank you for putting everything together.
Great video bro keep it going, you’re blessing the viewers with your knowledge
Awesome video! Explains all the questions I had over the past couple of months. I was very skeptical about getting credit cards but if used right they are one of the best financial tools. Will watch this video a couple of times.
It's like you're answering all the questions I've been having at the perfect time. Appreciate you.
Happy to help!
Seriously
Lowkey
That’s what I said .
welcome to the youtube algorithm (at its best)
Dragonfly!
Thank u so much for taking the time to make this video, very informative 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Dragonfly!! Very good video- I used to do all my travel booking with Amex travel- and had stopped- definitely getting back to that. Thank you!
A tip too, if you have kids depending on the bank and lender. You can add them to your credit line as early as 13 I believe. So you can start helping build their score before 18.
Dragonfly! So informative and hopeful - I feel prepared and ready to take the next steps
Great info!
This video is gold! I have been watching a lot of credit card videos and I couldn't quite get the hang of it but this video oh myy! I now completely understand every bit of detail. Subscribed!

Regarding the reconsideration lines - I've had experiences with Chase where they initially deny and you have to call the reconsideration line to re-allocate some of your existing credit lines from other Chase cards onto the new card.
Same. Chase can definitely approve you even if they initially denied. Did this just last week.
You the man, excellent info a year later and it mainly still applies
Ended up back to this channel for my 2nd time it’s definitely time for a change and now I’m finally in a position to do it 🙏🏾
I agree with Brian. Some people would say you should invest in something first, then get your car, but if you can pay it off early, you won't need to do that. You should also consider time: when you are younger, you will enjoy that sports car the most, whereas when you are 30 or 40, most people will be more concerned with convenience and luxury features.
True, my dad went from a ford enjoyer into a full-on lexus enthusiast (not that much enthusiastic, there's not much to be proud of a lexus -_-).

I just want to thank you for this. I’m autistic and have ADHD. I used your video to “body double” and finally apply for a card. Instant subscribe.

Yes! Thank you!
Thanks Brian for the knowledge & information 💯
I can see Brians passion to credit cards! Very good video and informative!
Thanks for watching!
There's a lot to love!
Nice video Bud. This was a refresher for me.
Thank you so much for taking your time and teaching this. Much appreciated !
I like how American Express lists the year you actually initially were granted the card. I have had and closed AMEX over the years. Just got a AMEX for Hilton and it shows I have been a member since 1987! Never really paid attention. Will be keeping this card as it will help in the length of credit area for credit score.
❤
Great video 👍🏿. When I first got into cards I started watching a bunch of your videos. Eventually I ended up banking with chase and they've been great so far.
You rocking the trifecta?
@@arey256 No, I forgot about 5/24 so I'm stuck now lol.
@@returnnofthemac ooh that sucks. I’m at 4/24 and I want some cards but I haven’t gotten any due to the 5/24 rule
You should consider their cards while you're at 4/24. Maybe a business one , I think if you go that route the business one won't take a slot since it won't show on your personal credit. Brian does have a video on how to get their business cards.
@@returnnofthemac 5/24?
just finding this video! Thank you for the info. BTW, great watch!!!
This was top tier. Thank you! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Heyy Brian, thanks for making this amazing video. I applied for chase freedom flex immediately and got waitlisted at first, probably because I didn't have any relation with them. However, upon calling the reconsideration line I was approved!
Brian man, this type of content is game changing! I remember watching a video like this from you back in 2020. I just need to apply it.
Thank you Brian for this. Really answer all the questions I had.
Yo dragonfly - awesome content! Much appreciated!
Dragonfly - I always thought it was bad to have a shitload of credit cards but you changed my perspective on this if used properly. Thanks 🔥🖖🏾
dragonfly! I'm extremely happy I came across your page. Very detailed and explained in normal terminalogy for beginners. Going to check out more content now. Keep up the great work Brian 😁
Glad it was helpful!
Brian is the truth. Haven't commented in a while but I'm back please follow your life and understanding of financing will only improve👌🥳 Happy New Year Brian
Bro, thank you for all of the great content that you create. Love the channel and wish you nothing but the best. Stay safe
Thank you, I will
I wish I knew all this back in 2016.
I definitely learned a lot. thank you
Dragonfly! You are right. I have a Chase college checking account from my college years where all my direct deposit goes, Chase approved me (not pre approve) for 3 cards and a car loan. All I had to do was accept whichever I wanted. I chose the freedom flex and they gave me a 14K limit. I already had the Amex platinum 4 years ago ( got the delta Amex first)
This is the first time I watch video 40ish minutes straight... Very interesting! Thanks for sharing without any courses offered at the end haha
Welcome back!! Love credit card content
Yay! Thank you!
Great content, thanks for sharing and you’re appreciated!🐐💯🤑
Just imagine the face of a waiter standing there and watching someone open up not one but two huge books of credit cards😂 anyway great video, before I was complaining clueless on credit cards and now I’ve got a lot more understanding from this video❤
The start of my journey. Thanks Brian!
Great video Brian , it was very helpful, thank you for sharing it.
Great humor and honest help. If the world had more people like you my brother! Liked and subbed!
Great video, I would love more detail on the business credit topic. Do you need an EID number or LLC to apply for biz credit?
Opened my first CC after this video, I appreciate the info you just gave out!! You got the like and subscription!!
Awesome! Thank you!
nice video. Good work. your outline was great.
I’ve never heard the term “dream apartment” ever before in my life. Didn’t know people preferred apartments
I’m always scared to apply for credit cards especially since I’m like an average person with an average job. I don’t want to get carried away with credit cards but this video gave me some knowledge that I want to put into action. Time to apply for the chase flex card… soon 😅 still nervous. Dragonfly !
Dragonfly! I love all your videos!!! Made my whole family watch too!!
Yay! Thank you!
My mom has piggybacked me since I was in high school and been meticulous about paying off the card. Now as a fresh college graduate I was able to easily pass the process for getting an apartment, which was such an incredible gift. Really appreciate that it was something she was thinking about
That's very kind of her. In the right hands that's great, but I'm uncertain that it's the right thing to do for my kids. Good thing they are still young, so there's time to think about it
That's a good mom right there. Thinking about the same for my kids. I'll at least help them understand how credit works early on.
Loved the video! Why would you switch from the Chase Saphire Preferred to the Amex gold? Is the Chase Saphire Preferred mainly for the sign up bonus?
Great content and every time I had a question in my mind it got answered a couple of minutes later. Keep up the great work!
❤ the video!! Very informative thanks Brain!
Dragonfly- Amazing advice! I always get asked questions when it comes to credit cards and finances by my friends and co-workers and I always recommend they check you out. I am only 18 and have already got my chase trifecta along with my Amex gold card. saving up the points so that when I turn 21 I can travel somewhere outside the country for the first time in my life.
such an informative video. appreciate u man!
Thanks man!

Congratulations Bella! 🥳
THANKS BRIAN!!!!! YOU JUST GOT A NEW LOYAL SUBSCRIBER!!! GREAT "PRICELESS INFO".... CHEERS!
Dragonfly! Thank you for this. You're like my older brother teaching this intimidating world of cc. More power! :)
Id like to correct something, Room upgrades are not guaranteed. As someone who works in the hospitality industry it’s based off availability. Having a high status or booking through AMEX travel will help very well but it’s based off of what the hotel has available.
It literally says when available
That seems to go without being said.
Prices are dependent on availability as well. 🤷
What binder do you use to store your CCs? I have not found one that will hold up for more than a few months. Most common problems is that the inside pages tear easily.
I currently store my unused CCs like a deck of cards. One stack for personal cards, the other for business cards.
Go to like any hobby shop or store that sells trading cards
Dragonfly!
Awesome video! Anyone at any level with their credit can learn something from this. I definitely need to maximize the American Express travel reward perks.
Awesome video, I've never really paid attention to the benefits of using a credit card especially when you have the cash to pay them off monthly. Thanks for sharing!
Quarter mil loan is crazy!!
So, what are the levels of income associated with the higher tiers of cards? I'm 23 and seeing those numbers really seems a little out of hand. I only have like 2 credit cards... discover and best buy... I pay in full, and my credit score is 700+, but I only have less than 2 years credit history... do you necessarily need more income to get to those credit cards?
Awesome vid, dragonfly!
goat man brain back at it again🔥
Can you do a video on when and how to use a credit card to purchase assets that provide cash flow?

Dragonfly…your presentation was very informative and helpful. Looking forward to additional content soon. Thank you for all of your hard work!
You're very welcome!
I think the video could have benefitted from being s multi series of 10 minutes videos. Like Mr Beast said; make an outlandish statement like we are going to give an island to a lucky contender in the first 2 minutes; that way retention is kept. You are probably asking why retention is needed but as someone who wants more people to learn; it's now your responsibility to game the system and get seen to as many people are possible. This video outlandish statement could have been you just need this three steps to generate great credit reports and scores.
