@@LeelosAdventure I'd say initially we wanted something better than bt3, but we would have settled for something comparable. I think gameplay wise this game is not on the same level as bt3. BT3 had tighter timing and more drawbacks for the overly strong things in the game. SZ is still fun but to a lot of people BT3 kinda still holds the crown

@@LeelosAdventurenah, you can't spam stuff in BT3 like you can in SZ: Ultimates are spammable; super abilities are spammable (Afterimage strike, insta-sparking, etc); ki blasts are spammable (they had a cooldown in BT3); counters are spammable (it's almost impossible to do a full combo without being interrupted in SZ). Amongst other things. Now combine this spam problem with the crazy amount of damage high dp characters deal and you end up with a game that the deciding factor in a battle is which characters are in it. SZ has broken mechanics, BT3 didn't.

I’m so addicted to this game. Tbh most of the issues are just players choosing cheese. If you focus on skill development it’s the best fighting game imo
alot of my issues are customization, maps, and gameplay. the first 2 are minor, the last one hurts the game imo. namely perception mode being too easy, moves like instaspark and afterimage strike having no penalty, and unblockable ultimates.

Comes with he popularity of dbz and the grow of the FGC in general. In Tekken 8 and SF6 the amount of people who leaves after one set is through the roof. What’s way higher in Sparking Zero than in any other game is ragequitting

And if i beat you using my daima goku while you use that cheese? Yeah HAHAHAH you hold that L and leave in shame. Those are the only two reasons not to rematch.
The characters I play are high DP, I play dbs broly at base, UI goku omen, and Beerus who is my main. Despite by character choices, I get my shot rocked because I either get outplayed in a fair fight of hands hands with the fundamentals being used. Or I get my shot rocked by after image strike or ki spammers but for ki spammers I can adapt fast due to movement tech. I still rematch every time so I can better at the fundamentals like super counter which I suck at but have been getting better at it, and side steps because some times it won’t input correctly but I’m getting better.
Ong you would have people say 'This is my Dragon Ball Simulator, don't nerf anyone' and in the same breath have people say 'Yes, Dr. Gero, Android 19, Dr. Wheelo, and Recoome can cook everyone in the TOP'. Game is fun but lets see that December patch
Usually the saying goes don't hate the player, hate the game, but in case of this game its don't hate the game, hate the players, cause most of the players do everything in their power to highlight the worst about the game and ruin it for most of the people and eventually for themself
Both are at fault. The devs shouldn’t have made some mechanics really overpowered and players should accept that this game isn’t supposed to be competitive and just have fun
I don't think the state of this game is in the shambles most people claim it's in I think one patch could come through that fixes the universal issues that are stupidly easy to fix and it'd change a lot The universal issues that apply to every match, regardless of character, are basically: -Too long vanish wars (stagger vanishes or smth) -timers in DP battles (no more 5 character teams and switching out) -Timeout wins in DP battles not being based on who does the most damage (rather than playing 5 characters, you can play high dp characters that you actually like that do more damage) -Perception fails needing a larger punish window (stop the spamming 😭) -grabs being too easy to tech -characters in single battles not having the same health or even scaled stats (not fighting the same Fusions/Z Broly every match) -super counter should cost something (makes actual combos viable whilst making sure you do staggers and bait perceptions to still keep it engaging and not just basic) -all characters could have the same switch out timer (playing high dp characters in ranked doesn't mean you basically have to sacrifice them and you'll have less characters anyway so you can't take the health recovery advantage as well as someone with 4 or 5 characters) -the janky hitbox of dash supers These aren't issues that are so deeply rooted in the game that it'd be impossible to fix like a bunch of people are making it sound, these are easily fixable Then there's character specific issues: -Unblockables need an easier vanish window -Preventing back to back instant sparking -afterimage strike (SSJ Vegito in singles specifically, in DP battles with a larger timer, it would be fine) -Giants being cheap for high health, defence, instant spark, unblockable Z burst dash, their down heavy doing 5k (10k in sparking) -False courage only costing 1 skill point -flying up and down to avoid fighting (😭) -instant spark + ki blast spam +ultimate -probably smth else These are less likely to change, but considering the people who play the metas are genuinely garbage (Like I'm in Z rank and I can find the most underwhelming matches with somebody trying to timeout woht afterimage strikes and Dr.Wheelo), it'll mean the cheesers can't stay in high ranks whilst skilled players can get to the top, giving the game the balance it needs

Also please fix my boy tapion, why does his brave slash super just randomly start whiffing after the third slash? ;__; ALSO also, for the love of god give us a better way to search for dialogue in custom battle creation. Why does it have to take half an hour to find that one sentence or something similar I want to use.
And some QoL as well Every game with a training mode I’ve played saves your settings when you change your character or even leave the mode all together. WHY do training settings (Ki, HP, Switch Timer, etc)reset when I just want to switch to a different character or change the stage?
I'm surprised rn DP battles default to total health as the wincon for timeout, I would've assumed it would take percentage of initial health like in every common sense game that has different health bars between characters
The game is still amazing. I think most the issues stem from the playerbase and patches can address those, but still as an overall experience for Dragon ball, it's an absolute classic! Can't wait to see what's to come for it in the future
I'm B5 rn and it's a bit of a mixed bag, some people are really good and play characters they like and get cheesed out of ranking up and others are people who barely know how the system mechanics work and just abuse meta strats
I’ve been having so much fun with this game. I can understand the complaints and stuff, and i respect them but i’ve been having tons of fun. Haven’t hopped online but i know it’ll be crazy since i wanna play characters on the weaker end and want my first online experience to be with my bros since i know it’ll be peak.
As a single player experience; its damned fun. Brought me back to the good 'ol PS2 DAYS. The thing is Sparking Zero needed: Rollback, Ki Sickness, proper punishments for rage quitters, and to iron out all the bugs that make ranked a pain (like items being used even if both parties said no items), and a way for users to search and browse custom battles. The upcoming patch is gonna help, but its gotta be a beefy patch to win some of the more disappointed players back.
Ban phase would fix matchmaking imo 2 character ban/ player, total 4 character ban The character (it's arc) and it's arc transformation So banning Z Goku will also ban its SSJ 1 - SSJ3 transformation
Personally, I don’t think this game Is meant to be a “competitive” game, because If it’s meant to be competitive then all characters should be balanced to play accordingly rather than being unbalanced because it’s trying to be somewhat lore accurate. The game is fun when you aren’t playing competitively.
If you are having frustration trouble at this low level you are gonna cry once you are in the A or S ranks, that's when real frustration sneaks in. The Meta is insane in there, and you can't have fun if you wish to have win at all. It's real bad at high levels. At C or B level it's actually quite fun of a game. Hard but fun. It's the people that are toxic, not the other way round, game is just fine
While there is a lot of issues , 85% of The issues are player dependent They could patch this game to high hell and the player base is gonna find a way to be cheap. That’s where the title META came from. Player done let it slide so long it’s infected every games online community
I couldn’t get out of the B ranks to save my life but I finally made it to S5 as Syn/Omega Shenron and stopped. Gonna wait till this patch drops and hopefully it changes some of the cheese elements

If they remove do timer it would work..85 percent of the ppl do it too. AI spam, switchout stall. I beat them but it's so frustrating to fight the man and the timer while, also, bleeding out afterimage.
This is what I've been doing since release, player matches are usually tons of fun, with few exceptions where people who CAN'T play the game without the broken characters (Super Vegitto, LSSJ Broly, UI, etc.) join. It's not that often though.
I'll leave so fast 😂. Was playing Player Matches last night, guy chose MUI Goku to my Mid Goku. I laid him out and still have nearly full health. The next guy lined up readied up, I chose melee Trunks and the camera pans around to him choosing Whis. Shook my head and just left to start another room. 😂 if I wanted to fight people like that I'd have stayed in Ranked.
Man, there was this one time where I encountered a Hit player with a massive win streak, and I wondered how good he was. As it turns out that player used capsules and spammed his teleportable rush move. When I played his game and spammed Super Gogeta’s rush move, he ended up rage quitting after the match and disconnected the entire server.
10:36 respectfully I disagree. There’s tons of ways to counter perception. Side steps, ults, supers, ki blast, perfect charge punch etc. Just because it’s different than bt3 doesn’t make it bad. I genuinely enjoy this game far more than bt3. The skill ceiling seems much higher in this game
I agree that it becomes easy to counter against players who only try to abuse it by immediately going into counter perception when hit, but the lack of downside (you can tech grabs and theres no punishment window on a failed counter) on it makes it way too powerful of a defensive option in the hands of good players. That combined with the fact that not all counter perceptions are made equal (stun attacks vs triple kicks or ki waves) and it can easily become obnoxious. If they added start up frames on it and minus frames on it when exiting perception stance, I think it would feel a lot better to play against. Also combining that strong of a defensive option WITH how easy it is to super counter, being on offense starts to feel much worse.
@@F6flreI would just recommend people who complain about perception should study high level Z ranks like Alwuhu. I perceptioned against him a lot and he adapted and still beat me
@@LeelosAdventure The point isn't that theres no way to adapt against perception, the issue is thats its a way more powerful defense option compared to its previous game iterations so much so that its immediately baked into the core gameplay of Sparking Zero more so than blocking and side stepping is. The second an attack of your is blocked, you need to stop attacking and immediately vanish/vanish strike/ki blast/side step because a player can just block the first hit and go into immediate perception to get a counter or sonic sway (OR cancel their perception into another perception to use skill gauge on perfect vanishes/charge attacks/beams). Even if you DO any of these to stop perception from immediately going off, theres no lock out time from doing an action out of perception so the blocking player can immediately act to counter your offense. Ultimately, it comes down to the fact that the game is so forgiving on defense (outside of just busted mechanics like insta-spark chaining or unblockable ultimates) that it makes perception the go to strategy for every player picking up the game. With that said, I still love the game. Playing against friends is crazy fun. Just the game is too much of an unbalanced nightmare to support "ranked". (Also they need to add a major rage quitting penalty)
not ranked matches are so bad on xbox, im either sitting in a lobby for over an hour with no one joining or i join a lobby with someone who’s been there for hours and isn’t even on their controller anymore. my only matches have been ranked because of this
Perception to me isn't that bad cause u can literally hit any button that isn't square and their Perception is unless. U can sidestep around, throw ki, use a super (if they're low in blast stocks), you can do that vanish attack, you can grab only thing u can't do is tap square.

My cousin tried sparking zero for the 1st time but he pirated the game, he got it from his friend to download it. He did story mode, he raged in vegeta oozaru and frieza final form. He cant use online mode and custom battle. He had everything unlocked in his save. I hope one day he buy the game legit so he can enjoy more
A lot of the game is people just standing still waiting for you to attack so they can get the advantage it’s a “for honor” gaming kinda mindset that my boi abused on me after he was A rank n 2 weeks into playing the game meanwhile me with no experience wit the game saw how unfun it was because he wasn’t really doing anything special no real skill involved honestly they need to bring back the old way the game functioned because it’s to easy to just stand there and get priority tho when fighting him I realized I just needed to side step but unfortunately it was my first day playing the day so I had no practice sad cuz a lot of people playing rn are bad and by the time I do get it everyone will have dropped the game
8:37 perception in this game is annoying as hell compared to the past games, even in story mode, the CPU spams it more than it did in the older games. Also I’m glad guys like you and Lotus are being honest about how y’all feel about the current state of the game because it’s a few other UA-camrs that basically bash/clowns anyone that complains about Sparking Zero (even the valid complaints) the game isn’t perfect but it is fun and I appreciate the attention to detail the devs gave this game and how they actually listened to the fans mostly
There's a whole lot of gimmicks that needs to be fixed, the characters are fine, I just want to see Ki sickness back, Afterimage strike nerfed, and Ki blasts spamming nerfed to bt3 ki blasts limit
Every drawback that's in BT3 are there for a reason lmao, they just removed everything, made the gap between weak and strong characters even bigger and on after all that decided a ranking mode was a good idea. The devs were tripping hard.
To keep sets, I think you should only get points if you win 2 of 3 games. If someone leaves after winning one game, you don't get any points, but you don't lose any points either. If it's something like a laggy player, it's understandable why someone would leave, so they shouldn't lose points because of it. However, if they win 2 matches, the third match shouldn't mean anything. If someone wants to stay for another match, then they can. Maybe their should be unlimited rematches after the 2 matches has been won, because sometimes the player I'm fighting is really fun to play against, and bonds have been made for stuff like this sometimes lol

all we really need is a mode in which instant spark and 4 health bar characters are banned. that mode alone would change a lot. and address the vanish wars while youre at it. its not that far off, they just underrestimated how toxic people are in ranked
I fully agree with the comments about rematching. I rematched someone the other day who quit and tried to call it lag because I beat the BRAKES off his lead Goku in game 2 before he could even switch him, after winning game one closely. These people just don’t want to be found out. Just last night I had to run and get some food I Ubered and my brother played this Gotenks, Super Buu, Roshi & Videl team (I use Z Trunks, Bardock, Adult Gohan & Yamcha) and he beat my brother by spamming Lightning Surprise Attack and Galactic Donut and my brother was salty cause I destroyed the guy when I rematched him. Didn’t wanna run game three 😒 Cheesy as this game can be, I don’t quit and learn from my losses cause I told my brother “if people can keep spamming the same shit against you, it means you’re spamming the same mistakes.” And so far the only exception to that is Broly for me. And I still dodge the ultimate a good percentage of the time! I’ve fought Gero & 19 players, Wheelo and Giant Spammers, Broly players and I never quit, I adapt, improvise and overcome. What’s funnier is today I played a Broly named “-Ibetuquit” with licensed music and I beat the pants off him and he quit when I was about to finish him with Bardock’s ultimate; and OF COURSE he had licensed music so I couldn’t record the fight. There’s some patching that needs to be done but most importantly, just give us the win when someone disconnects! Even FIFA can figure this shit out and that game is a fucking mess.
The casual mode is pretty fun but some people are unfortunately much more toxic and competitive in that mode😂😅 We need a 2V2 mode for friends and AI and another mode to mess around with, like the BT Games and Tenkaichi Tag team! Make like theme based battle modes or something! Anything!

Give everyone the same amount of health. That's part of what makes FighterZ still so fun to play. Canonically lower-tier characters had a chance and had gimmicks to even the playing field. Runing into fusions or Broly every other game is downright SO draining to play against every single time. As a casual Tien/Piccolo enjoyer, I have to play my BALLS off every single game and that's just not fun.
A casual mode would be fun, but again, the toxic people will see it as a way to face easier opponents and it'll be flooded with them too. With the game being unbalanced, I don't know why they added ranked. They need to add rank battles based on dp to make that more balanced.
I just hope they can implement an alternative clash to vanish offs. Because it just becomes so repetitive when you and the opponent are just vanishing everything till one of you runs out of ki
Yeah, the 1 fight and run away is really about the player, even in fighterz had some people do that too, here it's just way more common, but that's only on people mentality

Ok but how ya feeling about the custom creator mode. I think the actual layout to make them is awful with poor filter system. Unfortunately most people just make gogeta 4 vs blue but I do find ocassional gems. Found a majin piccolo fight and I made a freeza force vs z fighters multipart series
I got to the B rank cuz you don't lose points on loss before that but I never had even a microscopic interest in playing this game competitively and lets be honest, the game was not built for competitive. The game is super fun, with friends and thats all I really care about at the end of the day. Though I wouldn't say no to better way to select words for custom battles. I have several I want to do but do not have the patience to scroll through that in order to find what the words I want.
I was super excited when they talked about custom battles, it looked so nice until I tried to make one myself, the menu is so annoying to navigate and we need a search function as well as custom dialogue we can make, the puzzle piece style of dialogue makes it annoying to create a custom story
Hey I don’t get fully the complaints regarding ranked Rhyme. I’m just mad over the lack of content from outfits that make me wanna keep playing for progression reasons. Yk like fashion is so fun, but also the lack of characters like Super 17 :(
The game is fun with friends, the story mode is dog shit with how little you play, the scenes are kind of lazy with the exception of the cinematic scenes, and some of the inputs aren't inputing. I love the game and the franchise, there's just things about it that make it a shell of the game I loved playing as a kid.

There shouldn’t be an option to rematch. Once you get locked into a fight, it should be a hard best of three with no post fight option for rematch. That’d punish the one and done crowd with having to sacrifice the match at a loss.
content creators just don't want to lose games that's why they keep saying the game is "unfun". It's definitely playable and you wont get cheesed that often until you reach S ranks.
At it's core sparking zero isn't terrible in general, certain aspects of it are.... like offline cpu being outright broken, if you hit them hard enough they'll t-pose and power down from transformations, either that or they'll turn you around and combo you..... make backshots vanish-able without needing to wild sense spam. When you look at the game as a whole, it means well but it's overall empty, like bro where's my customization at???? I want to give characters accessories, I want to pallet swap them... I want to give them the additional moves they used in the show. As a personal peeve of mine I actually want subtitles for the japanese audio, the english subtitles exist just for the english audio which is unfair to those of us who like the japanese va's more and want to see those unique interactions. Overall sparking zero should have been held back another 6 or 7 months at most to iron out these flaws

These aren't issues that are so deeply rooted in the game that it'd be impossible to fix like a bunch of people are making it sound, these are easily fixable
Then there's character specific issues:
-Unblockables need an easier vanish window
-Preventing back to back instant sparking
-afterimage strike (SSJ Vegito in singles specifically, in DP battles with a larger timer, it would be fine)
-Giants being cheap for high health, defence, instant spark, unblockable Z burst dash, their down heavy doing 5k (10k in sparking)
-False courage only costing 1 skill point
-flying up and down to avoid fighting (😭)
-instant spark + ki blast spam +ultimate
-probably smth else
These are less likely to change, but considering the people who play the metas are genuinely garbage (Like I'm in Z rank and I can find the most underwhelming matches with somebody trying to timeout woht afterimage strikes and Dr.Wheelo), it'll mean the cheesers can't stay in high ranks whilst skilled players can get to the top, giving the game the balance it needs

ALSO also, for the love of god give us a better way to search for dialogue in custom battle creation. Why does it have to take half an hour to find that one sentence or something similar I want to use.

Every game with a training mode I’ve played saves your settings when you change your character or even leave the mode all together. WHY do training settings (Ki, HP, Switch Timer, etc)reset when I just want to switch to a different character or change the stage?
I'm surprised rn DP battles default to total health as the wincon for timeout, I would've assumed it would take percentage of initial health like in every common sense game that has different health bars between characters
The game is still amazing. I think most the issues stem from the playerbase and patches can address those, but still as an overall experience for Dragon ball, it's an absolute classic! Can't wait to see what's to come for it in the future

I'm B5 rn and it's a bit of a mixed bag, some people are really good and play characters they like and get cheesed out of ranking up and others are people who barely know how the system mechanics work and just abuse meta strats

I’ve been having so much fun with this game. I can understand the complaints and stuff, and i respect them but i’ve been having tons of fun. Haven’t hopped online but i know it’ll be crazy since i wanna play characters on the weaker end and want my first online experience to be with my bros since i know it’ll be peak.
As a single player experience; its damned fun. Brought me back to the good 'ol PS2 DAYS. The thing is Sparking Zero needed: Rollback, Ki Sickness, proper punishments for rage quitters, and to iron out all the bugs that make ranked a pain (like items being used even if both parties said no items), and a way for users to search and browse custom battles.
The upcoming patch is gonna help, but its gotta be a beefy patch to win some of the more disappointed players back.
Ban phase would fix matchmaking imo
2 character ban/ player, total 4 character ban

So banning Z Goku will also ban its SSJ 1 - SSJ3 transformation

Personally, I don’t think this game Is meant to be a “competitive” game, because If it’s meant to be competitive then all characters should be balanced to play accordingly rather than being unbalanced because it’s trying to be somewhat lore accurate.
The game is fun when you aren’t playing competitively.
If you are having frustration trouble at this low level you are gonna cry once you are in the A or S ranks, that's when real frustration sneaks in. The Meta is insane in there, and you can't have fun if you wish to have win at all. It's real bad at high levels. At C or B level it's actually quite fun of a game. Hard but fun. It's the people that are toxic, not the other way round, game is just fine

I couldn’t get out of the B ranks to save my life but I finally made it to S5 as Syn/Omega Shenron and stopped. Gonna wait till this patch drops and hopefully it changes some of the cheese elements

If they remove do timer it would work..85 percent of the ppl do it too. AI spam, switchout stall. I beat them but it's so frustrating to fight the man and the timer while, also, bleeding out afterimage.

This is what I've been doing since release, player matches are usually tons of fun, with few exceptions where people who CAN'T play the game without the broken characters (Super Vegitto, LSSJ Broly, UI, etc.) join. It's not that often though.
I'll leave so fast 😂. Was playing Player Matches last night, guy chose MUI Goku to my Mid Goku. I laid him out and still have nearly full health. The next guy lined up readied up, I chose melee Trunks and the camera pans around to him choosing Whis. Shook my head and just left to start another room. 😂 if I wanted to fight people like that I'd have stayed in Ranked.

Man, there was this one time where I encountered a Hit player with a massive win streak, and I wondered how good he was. As it turns out that player used capsules and spammed his teleportable rush move. When I played his game and spammed Super Gogeta’s rush move, he ended up rage quitting after the match and disconnected the entire server.
I always assume the reason my rematches are declined is because I’m better than them, even if I lose, and they know it.
You shouldn't get Rank Points unless you win the full set and vice versa.

10:36 respectfully I disagree. There’s tons of ways to counter perception. Side steps, ults, supers, ki blast, perfect charge punch etc. Just because it’s different than bt3 doesn’t make it bad. I genuinely enjoy this game far more than bt3. The skill ceiling seems much higher in this game
I agree that it becomes easy to counter against players who only try to abuse it by immediately going into counter perception when hit, but the lack of downside (you can tech grabs and theres no punishment window on a failed counter) on it makes it way too powerful of a defensive option in the hands of good players. That combined with the fact that not all counter perceptions are made equal (stun attacks vs triple kicks or ki waves) and it can easily become obnoxious.
If they added start up frames on it and minus frames on it when exiting perception stance, I think it would feel a lot better to play against. Also combining that strong of a defensive option WITH how easy it is to super counter, being on offense starts to feel much worse.
@@F6flreI would just recommend people who complain about perception should study high level Z ranks like Alwuhu. I perceptioned against him a lot and he adapted and still beat me
@@LeelosAdventure The point isn't that theres no way to adapt against perception, the issue is thats its a way more powerful defense option compared to its previous game iterations so much so that its immediately baked into the core gameplay of Sparking Zero more so than blocking and side stepping is. The second an attack of your is blocked, you need to stop attacking and immediately vanish/vanish strike/ki blast/side step because a player can just block the first hit and go into immediate perception to get a counter or sonic sway (OR cancel their perception into another perception to use skill gauge on perfect vanishes/charge attacks/beams). Even if you DO any of these to stop perception from immediately going off, theres no lock out time from doing an action out of perception so the blocking player can immediately act to counter your offense.
Ultimately, it comes down to the fact that the game is so forgiving on defense (outside of just busted mechanics like insta-spark chaining or unblockable ultimates) that it makes perception the go to strategy for every player picking up the game. With that said, I still love the game. Playing against friends is crazy fun. Just the game is too much of an unbalanced nightmare to support "ranked". (Also they need to add a major rage quitting penalty)

not ranked matches are so bad on xbox, im either sitting in a lobby for over an hour with no one joining or i join a lobby with someone who’s been there for hours and isn’t even on their controller anymore. my only matches have been ranked because of this

Perception to me isn't that bad cause u can literally hit any button that isn't square and their Perception is unless. U can sidestep around, throw ki, use a super (if they're low in blast stocks), you can do that vanish attack, you can grab only thing u can't do is tap square.

My cousin tried sparking zero for the 1st time but he pirated the game, he got it from his friend to download it. He did story mode, he raged in vegeta oozaru and frieza final form. He cant use online mode and custom battle. He had everything unlocked in his save. I hope one day he buy the game legit so he can enjoy more

A lot of the game is people just standing still waiting for you to attack so they can get the advantage it’s a “for honor” gaming kinda mindset that my boi abused on me after he was A rank n 2 weeks into playing the game meanwhile me with no experience wit the game saw how unfun it was because he wasn’t really doing anything special no real skill involved honestly they need to bring back the old way the game functioned because it’s to easy to just stand there and get priority tho when fighting him I realized I just needed to side step but unfortunately it was my first day playing the day so I had no practice sad cuz a lot of people playing rn are bad and by the time I do get it everyone will have dropped the game

Every drawback that's in BT3 are there for a reason lmao, they just removed everything, made the gap between weak and strong characters even bigger and on after all that decided a ranking mode was a good idea. The devs were tripping hard.
To keep sets, I think you should only get points if you win 2 of 3 games. If someone leaves after winning one game, you don't get any points, but you don't lose any points either. If it's something like a laggy player, it's understandable why someone would leave, so they shouldn't lose points because of it. However, if they win 2 matches, the third match shouldn't mean anything. If someone wants to stay for another match, then they can. Maybe their should be unlimited rematches after the 2 matches has been won, because sometimes the player I'm fighting is really fun to play against, and bonds have been made for stuff like this sometimes lol

I fully agree with the comments about rematching. I rematched someone the other day who quit and tried to call it lag because I beat the BRAKES off his lead Goku in game 2 before he could even switch him, after winning game one closely. These people just don’t want to be found out. Just last night I had to run and get some food I Ubered and my brother played this Gotenks, Super Buu, Roshi & Videl team (I use Z Trunks, Bardock, Adult Gohan & Yamcha) and he beat my brother by spamming Lightning Surprise Attack and Galactic Donut and my brother was salty cause I destroyed the guy when I rematched him. Didn’t wanna run game three 😒 Cheesy as this game can be, I don’t quit and learn from my losses cause I told my brother “if people can keep spamming the same shit against you, it means you’re spamming the same mistakes.” And so far the only exception to that is Broly for me. And I still dodge the ultimate a good percentage of the time! I’ve fought Gero & 19 players, Wheelo and Giant Spammers, Broly players and I never quit, I adapt, improvise and overcome. What’s funnier is today I played a Broly named “-Ibetuquit” with licensed music and I beat the pants off him and he quit when I was about to finish him with Bardock’s ultimate; and OF COURSE he had licensed music so I couldn’t record the fight. There’s some patching that needs to be done but most importantly, just give us the win when someone disconnects! Even FIFA can figure this shit out and that game is a fucking mess.

The casual mode is pretty fun but some people are unfortunately much more toxic and competitive in that mode😂😅 We need a 2V2 mode for friends and AI and another mode to mess around with, like the BT Games and Tenkaichi Tag team! Make like theme based battle modes or something! Anything!

Give everyone the same amount of health. That's part of what makes FighterZ still so fun to play. Canonically lower-tier characters had a chance and had gimmicks to even the playing field. Runing into fusions or Broly every other game is downright SO draining to play against every single time. As a casual Tien/Piccolo enjoyer, I have to play my BALLS off every single game and that's just not fun.
A casual mode would be fun, but again, the toxic people will see it as a way to face easier opponents and it'll be flooded with them too. With the game being unbalanced, I don't know why they added ranked. They need to add rank battles based on dp to make that more balanced.
I just hope they can implement an alternative clash to vanish offs. Because it just becomes so repetitive when you and the opponent are just vanishing everything till one of you runs out of ki

I got to the B rank cuz you don't lose points on loss before that but I never had even a microscopic interest in playing this game competitively and lets be honest, the game was not built for competitive. The game is super fun, with friends and thats all I really care about at the end of the day. Though I wouldn't say no to better way to select words for custom battles. I have several I want to do but do not have the patience to scroll through that in order to find what the words I want.

I was super excited when they talked about custom battles, it looked so nice until I tried to make one myself, the menu is so annoying to navigate and we need a search function as well as custom dialogue we can make, the puzzle piece style of dialogue makes it annoying to create a custom story

The game is fun with friends, the story mode is dog shit with how little you play, the scenes are kind of lazy with the exception of the cinematic scenes, and some of the inputs aren't inputing. I love the game and the franchise, there's just things about it that make it a shell of the game I loved playing as a kid.

There shouldn’t be an option to rematch. Once you get locked into a fight, it should be a hard best of three with no post fight option for rematch.
That’d punish the one and done crowd with having to sacrifice the match at a loss.
content creators just don't want to lose games that's why they keep saying the game is "unfun". It's definitely playable and you wont get cheesed that often until you reach S ranks.
At it's core sparking zero isn't terrible in general, certain aspects of it are.... like offline cpu being outright broken, if you hit them hard enough they'll t-pose and power down from transformations, either that or they'll turn you around and combo you..... make backshots vanish-able without needing to wild sense spam.
When you look at the game as a whole, it means well but it's overall empty, like bro where's my customization at???? I want to give characters accessories, I want to pallet swap them... I want to give them the additional moves they used in the show.
As a personal peeve of mine I actually want subtitles for the japanese audio, the english subtitles exist just for the english audio which is unfair to those of us who like the japanese va's more and want to see those unique interactions.
Overall sparking zero should have been held back another 6 or 7 months at most to iron out these flaws
