In Nepal, women face tremendous challenges in fighting gender role expectations, as they are considered second-class citizens and deeply rooted in patriarchal dogmas. Despite these challenges, there are possibilities for change. Rana encourages others to be bold enough to ignore societal naysayers and go against prevailing wisdom. Social inclusion can only come about through persistent practice of inclusion, and it is essential to stand by the oppressed or stand alone if necessary. She also believes in encouraging men to be bold and support women to bring about gender equality for all.
