You know, he's using a mod twirl the sabers. It's called tricksaber. You just press a button and the saber starts spinning.

I think he does it to make the game more enjoyable, like at 2:14 when he puts the sabers up. Instead of just swinging them when hes supposed to, he adds more style and swings to make it much more fun :D
