- Leonardo AI just came out with another update. It's the first AI image generation model developed by Leonardo in-house (not using stable diffusion) and it's called Leonardo Phoenix. In a word, it's good. Really good.

With this new update, the release of Leonardo Phoenix, getting text in your AI generated images is easy!
In my experience, this model produces great quality and has been doing a fantastic job of not making weird fingers, or other strange anatomy issues like so many other models.
Also, Phoenix has automatic prompt enhancement so it will take a very short prompt and add all the details to make an amazing image. Don't worry, you can turn off automatic prompt enhancement if you like.
And there's more to this Leonardo AI update... an AI assistant to change the images you generate. You talk to it like a chatbot and say things like "make it look like an old photo" or "change the car to blue" and it regenerates the images with your instructions.

Based on your experience with Leonardo, how would you compare it to mid journey, even if you have not used mid journey, I am curious to what made you happy with Leonardo ?
It's really hard to compare midjourney, as I've not used it. What I've seen/heard is that there are/were little code words or tags you had to add to the end of your prompt and that didn't appeal to me. I also wasn't keen on something that only worked in discord, but I understand they have a web app now.
I avoided Leonardo for quite a while because it looked overwhelming. Then I took the time to learn all the settings and I was just blown away with what it generated. Then of course they launched the V2 interface and made everything so much simpler (but the complex stuff is still there if you want/need it.)
I love that I can create images from text, an existing image, or a sketch (and I'm a terrible drawer, but it gets what I'm trying to do.)
Again, I haven't explored midjourney, but I haven't seen anything it generated or anything it can do that Leonardo doesn't live up to.
That's just my take. I'm sure midjourney is better for some folks than Leonardo. I can't knock it. But I'm happy with Leonardo.
Could you try to do consistented characters,maybe compare to midjourney ,runwayML,OpenAI . Thanks been trying to make a kids book.

Phoenix is good, but Legacy has more possibilities for surprise creation.
Definitely a lot more options to play with in legacy mode!
Using chat gpt to tell you how to talk to dall-E is away to get prompts like that as well !
Absolutely. I haven't had the best of luck getting a variety of styles out of Dall-E, but maybe it just doesn't like me. 🤷 But, when the style fits, ChatGPT definitely know how to communicate with Dall-E!

Indeed! I too have experienced it going too far with the text and putting it in multiple places, beyond where you want it. I don't have a simple solution for that yet.
IS LEONARDO DIFFUSION XL ON PHOENIX
Leonardo diffusion XL is a model and so is Phoenix. Diffusion XL is built upon a stable diffusion model, enhanced by Leonardo. Phoenix is Leonardo's first foundation model, built in house.
WILL I LOSE ALL MY EXISTING IMAGES IF I UPFRADE TO PHOENIX?
Phoenix is one of the many models available on Leonardo. You don't have change your account to use the Phoenix model, just select it as a model or as a preset. Using the Phoenix model won't impact your existing images.

Absolutely. But, in my experience, Phoenix does a better job than other models.
most definitely NOT the update I've been waiting for! Phoenix doesn't work correctly. And the bragging about their newest "renovation". I think they mean INNOVATION, but it isn't. Fortunately Legacy mode still works.
Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. What isn't working right with Phoenix? I too am happy to have Legacy mode where we can get to all the features and models!
