    Beijing
    The capital of the People's Republic of China is filled with tourist attractions including several World Heritage Sites. The city's many green oases are a wonderful break from walking along the narrow alleys, hutongs. You can enjoy the traditional architecture with beautiful lakes. Here are 7 must-see spots in Beijing, attracting many tourists from all over the world.
    7. Tiananmen Square
    The largest city square in the world is at the heart of Beijing. It contains the Monument to the People's Heroes in the center. The square is surrounded by the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong on the south side, as well as the Great Hall of the People on the west and the National Museum of China on the east.
    6. Qianmen Street
    The 845-meter long street runs south from Tiananmen Square. It is the oldest shopping street with unique culture in Beijing. You can find many restaurants offering delicious food like roast duck.

    Yiheyuan (Summer Palace) was an imperial garden in the Qing dynasty. Kunming Lake is a beautiful man-made lake, which covers three-quarters of the grounds. You can take a leisurely walk along the 728 meter-long corridor richly decorated with more than 14,000 paintings on the beams and the ceiling. The Summer Palace is a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens, and palaces. Don’t miss the ancient style of shops situated in the riverbanks on the Suzhou Market Street.
    2. Palace Museum
    The national museum is approached through the Gate of Heavenly Peace (Tiananmen). Also known as the Forbidden City, it was the imperial palace of the consecutive Ming and Qing dynasties. The museum was established after the last Emperor of China was evicted from his palace. The palace represents the quintessence of ancient Chinese architectural techniques as well as the esthetical aspirations of the epoch. It keeps a large number of cultural relics and master pieces of art. You can have an overlook on the panoramic view of the Forbidden City from the central peak of Jingshan Park in the Imperial City area.
