I am absolutely obsessed with dollar general, dare i say it, more than dollar tree. I limit myself to once a month so i don't over do it. My favorite is to shop there after each holiday, I find the absolute coolest thing for less than a buck and big items, and then when I open my bins the next year I have a bunch of new items. :D
I absolutely love DG! I visit multiple stores multiple times through the week. And Saturday is the best because you have the $5 off $25 coupons. U get one digital one in ur acct and then one on the bottom of most every receipt so you can do multiple $25 transactions. Best part is if u have manufacturer coupons those come off at the end! Lots of times you can wind up with $25 worth of stuff for a few bucks or even pay nothing but tax! Also a lot of the stores have remodeled and are now what they consider a "home store"! The way to find out which ones are home stores (they have much more decor and home stuff) when u go to the area where u type a location, go into the filter and you check the box that says DG Finds and when u apply that it should only pull up stores that are home stores. They're actually called and NCI store. They are so much nicer!! I have a ton of those boxes from DG and I love them! Christmas, Spring, you name it, they have gorgeous boxes for it!!

I love all of the things in this haul. We have two Dollar Generals and 1 dollar tree within 5 minutes of my very small southern New Jersey town, we are 16 miles to Philadelphia, 11 miles to Delaware, and our population is only 3,700. Close to everything yet farms, horses, chicken on out skirt of town.
I actually started going to Dollar General about a year ago and I love that store!! Now that DT is $1.25, you can actually find better deals at DG. And they have so many cute things in their home department. I just bought my daughter a beautiful floral throw blanket there for $15 and a beautiful plant with foliage leaves in a ceramic vase for $5. They do pretty much have the same things at every DG but there are times I have seen a youtuber show something that I can't find at my store. Kinda like Dollar Tree.

There are stores that are regional stores, that are bigger and get more things, so that may be why people, that you watch, might get different things. I forget what they call those stores, but there is only like one or two of them, in a certain region, if I understand it correctly. I have 5 stores, within 30 minutes, from where I live, and I love that they have remodeled all of them, because they do have some fabulous things, now. I rarely shop at Dollar Tree, and will probably go there less, now, because, for the most part, the quality matches the price, it really is cheap junk, usually. Yes, you can find a few things that are okay, but, for the most part, it is just cheap junk. I think the quality is much better at the DG and it is still cheap enough. I thought their prices, at DG, would go up, after they remodeled the stores, but I was shocked that they didn't go up, and I was even more shocked that some of the stuff has gone down, in price.
I have never ever seen any of these cute things at my DG. I go often in hopes of finding what I see others hauling, but my store is a dark, drab messy pile of underwhelming junk. I always leave empty handed.
Make sure you download the Dollar General app. On Saturdays you get $5 off of $25 in the digital coupons section. The seasonal decor at DG is usually good, but, just like Dollar Tree it can go fast! Check multiple DG stores because some have better decor sections than others.
Years ago there was one by me and I loved it but a dollar tree took it over. I've been looking for dollar general near me, no luck. You found very nice things and the prices are fantastic.
As with The Dollar Tree, not all Dollar Generals are created equal. However, they all usually have the cutest seasonal/holiday decor. You are missing out if you do not shop DG!

Our DGs have all the items you hauled today. We are in the middle of nowhere and DG and Dollar Tree save us!! I can spend hours in our DG, especially the birthday and craft sections! And the home decor section...and the grocery section...I love DG!!!!!Summerton, SC

I shop at DG store ALL THE TIME, as they’re only .10 of a mile from me, and they have definitely upped their game on seasonal items and decor! I absolutely enjoy it, my husband doesn’t 😂🤷🏼♀️, due to a lot of $ I spend there, but definitely get my money’s worth…. I’m a crafter and the items I get are amazing, anyway yessss they usually are, a all over the US distributor… for instance, my husband bought that same box you have, but he had purchased it for a gift 🎁 a month ago… so needless to say I love when you do DG HUALS, THANKS 🙏🏻 FOR ALL YOUR VIDEOS, ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM… SMH… I AM DEFINITELY GONNA GET ME SOME OF THOSE MOSS BUNNIES 🐰… 🤷🏼♀️💯🤣

I really like Dollar General. They have nice decor and their kitchen towels are the best I've found in years. The groceries are often less expensive than my regular store, especially if they are on sale. Most of the time there is a coupon good for $5.00 off $25.00 purchase on Saturdays. (It may also be available on the app.) Not everything is a great price, but sometimes the convenience of being able to park close and get in and out quickly makes it worth paying a little more.

Omg. I go to DG all the time just to go see their decor. Our store is barely putting up their Spring/ Easter decor. It goes fast so you have to keep checking. Enjoyed watch your finds did good 👍🏼

I recently found DG nearby who has the pop shelf. A lot of home goods, not the run of the mill GD. I'm impressed, this particular location isn't very busy so a lot to be found good prices especially seasonal and at end of a season. Saturdays always $5.00 off of $25.00.
Looks like you had fun at Dollar General. The storage box comes in multiple sizes. You got the next to the largest. They mark them down at the end of the seasons 50%. I love the cherry 🍒 dishes. Tomorrow is the $5 off $25 coupon day. I will be on the look out for those. Just like Dollar Tree not all Dollar Generals are created equal.

Dollar General is the parent company of Pop Shelf. Pop Shelf is brighter, has more staff & much more organized.

I buy those large boxes all the time I store blankets under my bed and even put clothes out of season and put them under my bed. I gift in them and store holiday stuff away in them. I like the cherry dishes. But I really like the dollar store cherry version that was the same as the lemon plates. They stopped doing g the cherries and only do the lemons every year.

I love DG! They have great finds. However, it’s been my experience - if you don’t get it quickly, it’s gone! Like DT, especially for seasonal items. I’ve been wanting one of those square soap dispensers. They are about $8 online.

I live within 30 miles of six different DGs plus 3 others on a route I travel for work and I am a DG expert. There are three kinds of Traditional/old school: a little of everything, including clothing., the Newer style: basically no clothing but an expanded home decor section, and DG Grocery with expanded food section, freezer section, and fresh produce. So some items can only be found each kind of store, but they are fairly consistent across each type of store. Like with anything, some items get snatched up quickly. So I have been known to hit all the DGs in my area looking for more of an item. Quick tip: their Believ makeup brand is stellar.
Please do more Dg hauls love that store. They have stepped up there decor game. Pretty much the same product at each store. They have a app that offers coupons. Good mark downs throughout the stores. Your haul was really nice. Thanks for sharing!

How much fun was that to live vicariously through you for just a moment??? With all of the major concern regarding Russia, inflation, hyper inflation, food shortages, STHF, fear, prepping...it's enough to drive one CRAZY! I love the freshness and burst into Spring vibe. So sick of winter, dread, ice, sleet, snow, fear, etc. I am not going to rush out to the Dollar General this moment, but it was refreshing to take a little vacation from the reality of my current life experience. There are good Dollar General stores, clean, and well stocked and there are some really bad ones. I think it is the manager's responsibility. But I have found some really neat items and good deals at Dollar General. In our rural community Dollar General is very convenient for everyday essentials and saves a 30-minute drive.
I have never shopped dollar general but now I want too. Those cherries are so adorable. I shop mostly dollar tree. The 99c store shut down near me about 12 years ago and I haven't been to another one. I'm sure there are like 100 in Houston.

Target Bullseye Playground also had moss bunnies of all sizes! I picked some up and made a little family. They also have white ceramic and a distressed looking bunny families. I am obsessed!

I was shopping at DG before dollar tree. Then started going back due to price changes at Dt. I love them both however i will say aside from there $1 items some can be found cheaper at my Walmart which is here in town. So i do factor in gas as well. I’ve also noticed my local dollar generals getting adorable decor along with the Pop Shelf addition to some stores, and clothing along with everyday items so it’s still one of my favorite stores. They also have really good deals at the end of seasons. 🥰

I love Dollar General, I really started shopping there all the time since my beloved Kmart closed. I never have liked Walmart, and Target is nice, especially the groceries.We had a nice Kmart, always full and busy, don’t know why it was closed. - Dollar General still has items for $1 here in Alabama but I’m sure it will hike up with all that’s going on. Unfortunately the two Dollar Generals near me are not in the safest area of town. The store itself is not real appealing but if you are patient and browse through the store, you can find gems. I wish they would clean the stores up a bit as they look like a hot mess. Not the slightest bit clean. I’m so not picky but I do care about my safety and shopping in a clean store. Hi, Marie! The tumblers are great! I would suggest hand washing them even if they say they are dishwasher safe. I bought some similar from Kirkland’s and washed them on the top shelf in my dishwasher and the print started to come off with the first wash. I was so bummed because they were cute buffalo check. Absolutely adore the way you changed up the style in your home. I liked the style before you started adding your own flair and mixing aesthetics. It works! Those mirrors in your bedroom are so beautiful! Loki melts my heart. ❤
