  • Gita Cinta Nusantara is a medley of Indonesian folksongs created by Indonesian musician Gege Gumilar in 2022 to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia. The medley consists of folksongs from seven different tribes, "Sigulempong" from the Batak tribe of North Sumatera, "Kicir-Kicir" from the Betawi tribe of Jakarta region, "Gethuk" from the Javanese tribe of Central & East Java, "Paris Barantai" from the Banjar tribe of South Borneo, "Si Patokaan" from the Minahasa tribe of North Sulawesi, "Janger" from the Balinese tribe of Bali, and "Manuk Dadali" from the Sundanese tribe of West Java.
Combining Indonesian regional songs, each with its unique traditional characteristics, rhythms, and melodies, is undoubtedly a challenging task. However, this medley successfully unites the seven songs with a harmonious arrangement, showcasing the unity in the diversity of Indonesia's ethnic groups.
The choreography for this performance was created by five members of the Indonesian Traditional Dance Troupe (KTTI) of the Indonesian Embassy in Seoul, incorporating the distinctive dance styles of the mentioned tribes. The choreographers are Cintya Cinotya, Florian Hutagalung, Rosa Anjani, Vimala Asty, and Yudiailham. The choreography included elements of Malay and Dayak dance in the opening section, while the closing section features elements of Maluku and Papua dances, enhancing the spirit of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) of the Indonesian nation.
