I love all your videos, Lauren. I'm so glad you have continued your UA-cam interest and kept your MANY subscribers up to date on your horse-life! Thank you so much!! I have 2 "back yard" horses I ride for pleasure. I've been watching your videos for a few years and love you so much. Boo will always be my favorite, she's so special.
Beautiful to see somebody showing slow and patient progress. So many rush youngsters though more are coming around. Thanks for sharing and educating. She's gorgeous. Looking forward to seeing her as she develops.
Woah fernanda is so beautiful! She is one of the most beautiful horses I have ever seen! She is so majestic, the only thing she is missing is a unicorn horn!
Wonderful horsemanship! Thank you for sharing this, I wish you the best of luck!! This is going to be amazing and she is so beautiful! I wish this channel’s owner and everyone who’s reading this the best. Take care and be safe, be kind to each other and to our animals ❤️
Really enjoyed this clip Lauren, Fernanda is beautiful and very smart I find your trying youngsters fascinating you and your boyfriend are naturals loved it I wish you all the best she’s going to be a wonderful jumper tfs😎
Ho my goood i looove that mare!! She is such a beauty and you’re doing such a fantastic job with her! Im so so excited to see her grow by your side! 😍😍😍😍
저도 점핑 훈련을 받고 있는 선수인데요 귀하의 영상은 여러모로 도움이 됩니다. 좋은 영상 보여주셔서 감사합니다🙇 I'm a horseback riding athlete, too. Your video is helpful in many ways. Thanks for the good video.
May I ask why you are ridding her in a running martingale? I’m not used to seeing them on young horses but I know you must have a reason. She is such a precious mare. Congrats Lauren!
I just popped it on to use as a neck strap (I find the strap on it easier to hold as its smaller than a stirrup leather), thankfully she was super chill and I didn't need to hold it as a neck strap!
WOW! She has already grown and filled out! It's going to be funny when you send her to where River is, she'll be a whole different looking horse by the time she comes back--I can't believe how white she is turning already! But she is one clever, clever horse!! You got another gem!
My dad and I are actually breaking a 3 year as well and we long rein them for roughly 6 weeks and usually a few weeks in we would lie over them and just walk them and even we we start to ride them the first week or 2 would still do a bit of long reining ❤️ love the video very helpful as well as we have so many young horses 💕
I totally agree with you, so many people skip all the ground work and I feel that making groundwork a priority when they're young makes the future work much easier for them to understand what you're asking of them! :)
It will be interesting to see a video of her training continued, such ad when she begins transition work, different leg aids and ridden canter work once she is old enough for all these. Thank you for this video, it was a good insight x
Long reining is always at the top of my list in training horses regardless if they are saddle trained or not. I will long rein if it's raining and the ground is wet
She is so nice and calm! It's funny to see how she is so well behaved compared to the old(er) horses I have come across all these years. Aren't you afraid though, when riding in the barn, that she will make a sudden movement and you fall off? She's young after all. Stay safe and healthy!!!
I’m liking how much reference you make to the science of their behaviour, such as the wither scratches to calm them down and developing the proprioception in young horses. Is this something that’s common in Equestrian’s you’ve learned from? Or is that mostly a result of your study?
Fernie is so cool (accepting of the bit, your weight, the side reins and esp the floppy stirrups). I'm just curious you are putting the work in to her now to get her used to your weight etc but then you are sending her to pasture. She's three right? So she would be able to do some work, basic stuff but that's better then zilch. I get your positioning on sending her to pasture but her growth shouldn't change that much correct? Absolutely awesome to see Booba and Zizi doing well in the paddock together. Does G go out with them as well? Can't wait to see what Fernie has to offer. I really like her working attitude! Way to go team B and L, you need to have someone with a T and then you would be the perfect sammich!!
Well since she's a British Isles horse and has an aristocratic baring I think a really bizarre big hat would go a long way in winning her over........just a thought?
when I start colts I don't actually start them in bridles, I start then just in a halter, I do it that way because that way im not introducing too much at one time so id like to ask why do you start horses with a bridle? no hate im just genuinely curious
Hopesup_heelsdown it’s just the way we do it.. I always like that the horse understands how to work in a correct frame to encourage correct movement and use of the body 😄 so they can carry the riders weight correctly
She is looking stunning. Can't wait to see her fully grown up.
Nati Whatever thank you 😘😘

You're doing an amazing job with her, Lauren! Fernanda is gonna be one fancy girl when she gets more rides on her!! She has such gorgeous movement :)
CNK Equestrian thank you so much 🥰🥰 I hope so!

I’m in love with all of your horses. How are River and Oceana doing? When are the other foals being born?
Thank you :) River is due to foal next month! Oceana is well in Ireland and Gabbana's ET foal is due in May :)
@@LaurenAllport wow congratulations thats awesome :) wait so you can ride horses while their pregnant?
@@LaurenAllport Do you have ten horses?
Would you do an update or about my horses video, where they all are and that
@@emmaleah4640 to some point yes. But Gabana is not pregnant, its her embryo in a surrogate mare. 🙂
Wow Lauren! That’s a horse going to full potential😍🙌🏻

NEddiesGun ah makes sense. I hope you never need to use it ha! Honestly though she seems so well minded and I’m sure she will make a lovely jumper.
@@DaniChaCha thank you so so much :)
Well done x nice to watch during the bloody lock down but I’m in work tomorrow ( nurse) hope you and horses are well

vixiepixie1000 thank you so much! Stay safe working and look after yourself 🥰
She’s so calm and sweet! I hope it goes this well when it comes time to break in my two year old!
Thank you! Good luck with your horse and enjoy it :D

Thank you 😊
God seeing you ride in that barn gave me so much anxiety 😅
I love her!
Heart Horses thank you 😃
That trot!
My dream is to break horses like this! Where did you learn how to do it? Do you have any tips on how to get into it? :) x

Shes beautiful and youre doing an amazing job with her Lauren! Can I just ask, do you get your horses/project horses from the same yard or dealer?
How old where you when you started riding coz I only started when I was 11
Saffron McCarthy I started at 13 😃
EddiesGun91 omg u r so good people always tell me I should’ve started early but I don’t that’s the case
Saffron McCarthy age doesn’t matter! That’s the beauty of the sport u can start at any age :)) xx
Priya Equestrian thanks so much
😍😍
I see that you've used some different bits so far. What bits do you think are best for young horses? And what bit worked best for Fernanda?
It’s all the same kind of bit.. French link snaffle with some kind of loose or fixed ring ☺️
EddiesGun91 . Alright, thankyou.
Well since she's a British Isles horse and has an aristocratic baring I think a really bizarre big hat would go a long way in winning her over........just a thought?
Were you the girl that had that old chestnut mare that you used to do brideless with back in the day that ended up having back/soundness issues?
Logan G that’s me! And that mare is 16 now and still with me and in work 😄 still jumping!
Fajna kobyłka
Im curious as to why hang on her back in the stall and not for example in the longee ring? Safety or preferance or something else?
She talks a bit about that around the 16:00 mark :-)
wait how old is she? i mean Fernanda
She's 3, she's just being started under saddle and will be turned away to the fields to mature until 2021!! :)
@@LaurenAllport ok thank you :)

Proprio prov a salire su un cavallo la prima volta dentro un box nn lo consiglierei😂😂
Hi

Why do you lead her by the chin?

Neanche usare gli speroni..
That's not how you train a horse at all
