I used to work at an Amazon fulfillment center/giant warehouse as the person that would put items on the shelves the robots moved around. Yeah it’s bullshit working there, I had to scan every single item then scan the exact spot on the robo shelf I was putting it in and the target speed was like 340 items per hour or something like that which meant you had to scan double that per hour since you had to scan at least twice to store an item which was insane to keep up and if you dropped below it consecutively then you would get in trouble and you could only take bathroom breaks every like 2 1/2 hours during your breaks because if you left your computer station for more than like 2 minutes it would automatically flag you for being inattentive and your supervisor would talk to you and the bathrooms were several hundred yards/meters away from my work station, and no I’m not exaggerating. You also had to go through air port style security, to enter you had to scan your badge and go through full body metal bars like subway toll stops but these were like something out of a prison but to leave you had to go through a metal detector and you weren’t supposed to take your phone inside so when you got caught leaving with it you would be pulled aside and talked to and all your info would be notated then after 3 times it was automatic grounds for termination and you could be fired. So yeah they couldn’t care less about their employees but still I wouldn’t compare it to anything like China because we all had to ability to quit at anytime
@@StayProteus the security measures I get, it’s a huge potential for loss at those fulfillment centers... it’s the bathroom breaks & “target speeds” (which are more obligation speeds than “target”) that are insanely inhumane. But yeah still not mandatory like the China situation 😂
@@CantTellYou There's work you get paid for and work you don't, one is real work and the other is slavery, school you don't get paid and you aren't getting any bathroom break unless you ask for permission each time and they say yes, they can also assault you with weapons (still common in many countries and 19 us states) falsely detain you, order you to not speak or move around, give other threats and punishments and give you unpaid work to do in your free time everyday on top of everything you did at school.
@@StayProteus if I were forced to work there to survive I think I'd end up killing myself. Work like that truly depresses me like nothing else.
This is 1 school. It’s not all schools and it was trial and this is 3 years old.

Yeah. Because of fierce competition for the college entrance exam, many schools practiced military management. Students are required to get up early at 6am, study whole day and sleep at 11pm. Students also need to keep the dormitories clean and tidy. The management will conduct irregular check-ups.
Not sure whether the US military is so strict.
