    Great! A how to video without WITHOUT any step by step directions on the formula of Lime vs. Water.

      Thanks for checking out the video. Since our products have a wide range of dilution rates (50%-70%), it's not a one size fits all method. For those who are wanting a thicker consistency, you dilute Classico Limewash at 50% (2 parts Classico Limewash to 1 part water). If you desire a more aged look with heavy distressing, then use our 70% dilution recommendation. Each brick soaks up the Limewash differently, so you may need to adjust your dilution rates after sampling an area.
      Stay tuned because we'll be sharing a short this Friday to help easily figure how how to dilute our Limewash. Thanks so much for reaching out and hope this helps!

    If this is used on a patio, do you need a sealer?
    What is the difference between this and Hydrated powder lime?

    • @romabio
      @romabio  Місяць тому

      Hydrated lime powder is part of the ingredients in the production of mortar, plaster, and certain paints. Classico Limewash is a product perfected by Romabio to create the aged, patina, old world look for masonry surfaces. Romabio's Classico Limewash is specifically formulated to calcify and harden to absorbent, unsealed, unpainted brick. Classico Limewash is naturally harvested from the Dolomite mountains of Italy. It is slaked for 12-36 months to create a stable superior safe paint mixture for vertical application on to brick and masonry substrates for architectural use.
      We do not recommend that Classico Limewash be applied to walkable surfaces because it does not have built in scuff resistance. If you do apply Classico Limewash to your patio floor we would recommend applying Decorative Topcoat Matte on top to protect the finish. Please keep in mind there will be an increase in the maintenance cycle even with Decorative Topcoat Matte applied on top.

    Can i use an airless sprayer? If using airless, how much to dilute? Is brushing better than spraying?

    • @romabio
      @romabio  3 місяці тому

      Classico Limewash can be applied with a professional grade airless sprayer (at least 3000 psi) using a tip size if .519”-.521”. Classico Limewash can be diluted 50-70%. We recommend starting with 50% dilution and diluting more if needed. Applying Classico Limewash with a brush or a sprayer are both great application techniques and just depends on personal preference. 🙂

      10-60 minutes, wait until the edges of the brick start to lighten. ❤️

    This is not lime wash. It's paint. Low brow

      Classico Limewash is made with slaked lime and can be used to create a beautiful old world look. Unlike traditional acrylic or latex paints Classico Limewash allows your brick or stone to breathe, so you can get the look you love without compromising the health of your brick or stone. 🙂
