- Getting out just to record sounds for later use in videos is called Field Recording. Sounds like fun, so I bought the Zoom F3 and Deity S mic 2S as a way to start out.

Came here because of the f3 review, subscribed because of your banjos in the background!!
Like ole George n Mazie(?) "Moving on up!". Just not to a penthouse in the sky. 😂 Looking forward to see how all this plays out in the future.
Blessed da Mr John
Crawford out 🙏🏻🔥⚒️🧙🏼♂️
Looking forward to seeing (hearing) what you create with this.
Buying the F3 was a game changer for me. Excellent little recorder. Look forward to hearing what you capture.
"Sounds" great John...Look forward to going down the rabbit hole with you. Clark aka ArdTimes Forge
Great stuff! Thanks for sharing.
That's a pretty nice set up. I'm curious which mic stand you're using and the attachment for the recorder. Thanks
Thank you for this video. Very informative.
So, you are recording your own ambience sound? Thats cool!
Exactly. its always difficult to find exactly what you want someplace like Epidemic Sound
@@JohnSwitzer True! I use to have soundsnap, ES and Artlist to find sfx I needed. But its quite expencive to have them all🙈
Cudos to the FedEx driver for opening the front door.
Thank you sir for this video... I own that mic... and a Zoom h8 this video was very helpfull . Saludos fro Spain.
That looks promising, John: New toys! Very good toys, perfect for your forge/studio! Fantastic equipment, and very well deserved because your content production is real 1st class! 😊 PS. Flatten the boxes to keep later. They and those inflatables will come in handy when you send out merch / shop stuff. Oh - and what make is the black knife? Schrade?
Bench Made
Looks like you have a very good grasp of everything already. I am curious how you 'snapped' the F3 to that clamp on the Nanopole though. It looked pretty clever and simple.
I used a little Small Rig clamp
Can you explain your mounting system for the Zoom F3 to the mic stand. How is the F3 and mics all connected to the mic stand? Thank you. 😊
The F3 has a 1/4 X 20 thread on the back and I have a shoe mount on that. I then use a Small Rig clamp on the pole with the other half of the shoe mount. You could also thread the clamp directly to the F3 depending on the clamp.
@@JohnSwitzer got it. I was wondering how you slipped it on and off. Thanks!
Well, I can’t imagine how much that bunch of stuff would cost to ship it all up here to Canada lately! With the weight charges plus the Length X Height X Width = say 150 cubic inches times whatever rate charges! We’re getting screwed twice. Then if they decide to charge tax duty on top of that certainly puts us in the poorhouse‼️ I can’t imagine ordering blacksmith tools and such. I (we) might as well give our blacksmithed stuff away!
man, are you kidding me? sounds real bad, you need better wind protection
