Today, I discuss a theory on how Leon will reveal a new Generation 9 Pokémon, Koraidon against Ash in the Masters 8 tournament in the Pokémon Journeys/Pokémon Master Journeys/Pokémon Ultimate Journeys/Pokémon (2019)/Pocket Monsters anime, that will lead to Ash going to the new Generation 9 Paldea region in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet anime/Pocket Monsters 2022 anime/Pokémon Scarlet And Violet: The Series! If Leon had the legendary Paldea Pokémon, it would be a repeat of the Best Wishes Series. In A journalist from another region(BW134), Ash, Iris and Cilan met Alexa, a character from the Kalos region along with her Pokémon, Helioptile and Gogoat. In Celebrating a hero's comet(BW137), Alexa brought out her Noivern.
• Helioptile, Gogoat and Noivern are Gen 6 Pokémon to appear in a standard episode of the Best Wishes Series.
• Furthermore, Sylveon debuted in the Japanese ending Let's join hands.
They always do this, not just in best wishes.
Up until Gen 7, a next gen Pokemon or two were shown in the previous Generation anime.
Leon having Koraidon is just reaching for the stars at this point. I don't think he has that.
I was hoping no one brings up the "Pokemon that is not seen before" trope, because I am so tired of this concept.
You’ve gotta take into consideration that ash did that to everyone in the Alola league by using melmetal and Naganadel
Thing tho is, both Melmetal and Naganadel are Gen 7.
Also everyone knows their presence, so he cannot surprise anyone with those.

that actually makes sense. but that would be so much of an anti-climatic battle. just imagine ash's pikachu beats charizard and leon sends out his secret weapon koraidon. thats just tobias 2.0. but thats not a bad idea. then leon will reveal that he visited that paldea region and trained there. ash could borrow leons koraidon and visit there with go and koharu or ash goes to paldea region and catches or bonds with miraidon. then he trains there with his journeys team and newly catched pokemons. then the new region can behold as many challanges as possible and at the end leon visits the region and battles with ash for the final time. then ash beats leon and becomes the world monarch
Or it would be a Johto journeys reference where Ash loses badly to Leon's Koraidon and it would push Ash to befriending one and later defeat Leon with it. This would be Ash going into the advanced generation all over again and that's pretty disappointing 😒

You know, the craziest thing they could do is Reveal a Pokemon that is Not even in the Base Scarlet and Violet game. Let it be a Pokemon from the DLC, such that it sends even the viewers to search for it, only to be confused. Almost like setting up a new Mew legend.

Ash is going to remain the protag, for this to happen without drastically changing the anime format again, i guess Ash can't win against Leon and become World Champion, and since he's 10 years old instead of 20+, they pull the "he's still just a kid so it's ok" card smh. What if Leon owns a pokémon that can terastallize? Since this gimmick is not counted towards Z-move, Mega Evolution and Dynamax/Gigantamax for the tournament, he can use it along with Giga Charizard

I do like the idea if Leon has this new legendary Pokémon for Gen 9 and battles Ash. It would be cool and interesting to see Ash see it and how Ash could travel. However, I do feel it would bring some worries for me and others for Ash's battle if he does lose.
I think there will be a extibition match between the semi finals and the finals between the Paldean Champion and Mustard or Tobias. I'd say it would start with ash meeting the Paldea Champion with the champion telling Ash about Paldea but not telling him that's he's the champion, then in the exhibition match, Ash would realise. It would be a good way to reveal the champion and his ace (I think his ace will be Lucario)
Edit: I think the "champion rank" is just cuz in Co-op, 2 of you could be champion so I don't think there is more then one that you have to battle to claim the rank
It's either him or a gen 9 character that introduces Paldea to Ash. Gary's another option since he stated he's back to traveling the world again and is responsible for Ash going to Johto and Sinnoh. (Hmm, I think they'd opt for a non-legendary in Leon's case to avoid anyone calling foul like with Tobias. Probably why no one [so far] in Masters or the entirety of PWC has shown any case of owning a legend.)
That would be awesome!! If that happens, Ash will ask where Leon got that Pokemon from and he will tell him about Paldea region and that it's one of the legendries of that region. Knowing Ash he will want to see that region for himself so he will go and discover the region and travel around and discover new things, like as you know that is Ash's desire to go and travel and discover a new region and see what it has to offer. And As Raf said maybe Ash catches that Pokemon for himself to help Leon into something. Anything is possible.

I doubt that Leon will have a Gen 9 Pokemon, they haven't even shown all of Gen 8 Pokemon. If anything, I can see Leon using the Gen 9 gimmick in the battle but that's it.

Please no. If so I want Leon to start packing to paldea and ash asks where he's going and Leon releases the starters and then when gen9 series starts Leon can sometimes interact with ash but on *separate* journeys
Possibly but this would undercut his Charizard. Not too mention...how will Ash and probably Goh ride around in Paldea if Leon has Koraidon yet encounter it in Gen 9 if Leon has it? I don't feel Koraidon will be an everyday Pokemon...it's The Box Legendary after all. Maybe Leon Terrastalizes his Charizard instead of Gigantamax to beat Ash and then tells him to visit Paldea to learn more of it. That or they could introduce the Gen 9 Pseudo Legendary or one of The 3 Buddha Pokemon but Koraidon if there is a bunch of them really kills it's Legendary Status.
It is really unecessary and Ash really is not fairing too well against Cynthia so....he could very well get squashed but I think Plot Armor has him against Leon if the intro is anything to go by. Ash beats Leon but will vacate The World Monarch Title so Leon will call for a new Tournament that will be called The Galarian Star Tournament to crown a new Monarch or Leon will call for another Masters 8 Tournament.
I do feel Ash's story could very well end but lol Gen 9 is literally a couple months away so no way in hell Pokemon is probably going anywhere without Pikachu, the franchise's Mascot...and Ash, Pikachu's Trainer.
The only way this can be accepted is if Ash destroys Leon's Charizard - his 5th Pokemon and then koraidon comes in and defeats lucario and Pikachu while Ash be like what the heck just hit me

I like the idea of Leon having a secret Pokemon. May be it's a starter from the new region, a regional varient or a hisuian mon. Also all the generation shown a legendary/mythical of the following generation and it's game gimmick.
Gen 1 - Ho-Oh and eggs
Gen 2 - latio/as
Gen 3 - manaphy and new evos to old mons
Gen 4 - Zoroark and nothing( It's was supposed to be the end of the Pokemon series)
Gen 5 - gogoat, ride Pokemon and mega evolution
Gen 6 - megearna and multiple forms( megearna had two distinct forms)
Gen 7 - Melmetal? And very big Pokemon forms( Necrozma, anyone?)
If we follow the same pattern, we can see in Gen 8, the show will give a Pokemon of gen 9 with no effect on the story or game play and no specific game mechanic( I mean how many of you caught a lati in gen3 or a zorua in Gen 5 or a megearna in Gen 7)
So this is my prediction
Ash will see a not so significant Pokemon of Paldea before or after the championships and forgets about it(like all of his other mons😤😭) and then someone else tell him to visit that region.
In Gen 2 it was his rival with a powerful Pokemon made him go to Hoenn- Gen 3
In Gen 4 professor oak made him go to UNOVA - gen 5
In Gen 6 Delia and mimey got him to Alola Gen -7
Also
Gen 1 he stated his journey on his own( since there is no gen 0 we can't blame any one) But he still forget to wake up on time😜😜
Back to even gens
In Gen 1 he found 2 unknown Pokemons and wanted to know more, he asked about where to find info about it to others and went to Jhoto on his own accord
In Gen 3 he found an unknown Pokemons and wanted to know more, he asked about where to find info about it to others and went to Sinnoh on his own accord
In Gen 5 he found 2 unknown Pokemons and wanted to know more, he asked about where to find info about it to others and went to Kalos on his own accord
In Gen 7 or more importantly in the beginning of gen 8 He nothing else to do other that being a freeloader, went to work as an assistant, get himself into a battle tournament with literally everyone in the world and went to galar only because he wanted to and not because someone (I don't Know who Goh is. Do you?) forces him to.
So following this methodology My predictions are
1. Ash will see someone riding Ko/Miraidon and will forget about it and then he will see some baby/starter Pokemon and will go to Paldea.
2. Ash will continue as a research assistant and go to Paldea because of a wild fuecoco( cause Ash + fire starter= Same old Ash)
3. End of series then vacation (4-5)
Eng of gym battle then vacation (6-7)
End of tournament then vacation?(8-9) probably

Even if ash wins and is this grand champ, theirs always tobias he has to return I want a plot twist where tobias is number 1 and maybe even a villain at this point.
I think this could possibly happen because Diantha of course will not give him a hard time. If the battles are 6v6, the only possible thing in my mind is that Diantha will not be able to see the 6th Pokémon of Leon and Ash will and then a new Journey starts. Anyway its just my opinion.

I don't know about this, because if that was the case, then it would have been helping Leon & Charizard against Eternatus, and look at how that turned out. Also, Leon's already super powerful already, and it would be great development for him to lose against Ash, just as he developed in the games when he lost to Victor/Gloria.

Personally, I just don't think Leon should have one of the Paldea legendaries on his team. He's already strong enough without a legendary and considering his abysmal performance against one, I don't see him being able to catch, much less control one
If u wanna give him a new Pokemon from Paldea, I'd say go with Cetitan, Fidough's evolution or even one of the Paldea starters in its fully evolved form. Preferably Quaxly's to give him a water type to complete the fire water grass core, and cos I think it suits him

I think Leon will use terastylize rather than a new legendary pokemon. Hear me out first. In the final match, Leon might allowing rules for them to use any gimmick all at once. At this point everyone will agree to what Leon say even Ash as well. This is where Leon might show off his hidden strategy which is terastylize. Seeing Ash has a lot strategy. I’m guessing Leon really want to battle Ash in All-out Battle. If Ash were to lose to Leon using Terastylize, Leon might encourage Ash to go for the next region. But I’m guessing everyone wants Ash to be champion. I also wanna see Ash beat Leon😫
Enough of Ash in gen 9, no one wants to see Ash loose and making him loose would be the only way to get him to gen 9. I'm sure the anime will loose a lot of fans who will stop watching the anime if they make Ash loose (me included). Not that I don't wanna see him return coz I do but him returning would only mean he looses to Leon

I would love some background episodes on Leon’s history, where he started to the time where he became the champion of Galar to world champion like a mini series then I’ll believe he is the ultimate threat otherwise to me he’s just another character in the Pokémon universe and nothing more…Journeys hasn’t really sold him at all😕
