Couldn’t agree more! I get tired of people ‘Jamie bashing’ when all he’s trying to do is make delicious food accessible to anyone who cares to cook simple meals with incredible flavour! Go Mr O! 🥰😎🇦🇺
I'm totally with you on the Artichokes. I love them on a Pizza and oh my, I will never forget Tino's Artichoke salad at Tino's Pizzeria in Gummersbach, Germany. Legend has it his food was the better the more drunk he was. LOL That Artichoke salad was so simple yet so amazing. Just artichokes with olive oil, white Balsamico, a bit of salt and some dried herb. 💛
This looks so great. I'm a little blocked from too much cooking (Thanks to Long COVID) but I think if I skip trying to make the crust, I can easily do the rest of this on a premade crust and still have something fresher and healthier.
I would like to see some systems for using gluten free flour, with which I always have trouble rolling out, because the lack of gluten makes it fall apart too easily. Please!!!
For my reference : Self Raising Flour, salt, olive oil, cold water - pizza dough / mozzarella cheese, pesto, cherry tomatoes on vine halved seasoned up S n P, artichokes or ??? / roll out dough, dust flour. Roll bigger than Tray size. O O on tray. Add pesto all over, add tomatoes artichokes peppers etc . Fold one corner pastry over and keep lift n fold all around. Add mozzarella cheese. Add touch oil left over edges. 30 mins 200 Celcius. Salad. Pesto pizza pie - add any variety of quick cooking veggies to it. From 5 Ingredients book.
Fair play. I’ve used a lot of Jamie’s recipes and they’re banging. Can’t fault them and all of my guests have been delighted. However, the portion suggestions are appalling. I’d happily demolish that on my own. If I served that for my other half and her parents with salad and some triple cooked chips, there’d only be one satisfied person. It wouldn’t be my missus or her parents….
Because it means little ingredients needed to allow it to rise. Are you in the US? I know it isn't common to use self raising there. We love it here in the UK. It rises and if he used plain flour then you'd need baking powder etc but this is ideal for those who like few ingredients. X
Thanks Jamie, I love watching him, and learning those tricks he shares too. He is an amazing human, and I have enjoyed watching and listening to him right from his first videos. Jamie does so much to inspire people , getting involved and leading by example.
Looks tasty, nice that the dough is so simple, no good at making the traditional way personally. Shame the videos sound is all over the place for me, had to turn on captions to understand some of what he was saying
@Jamieoliver If I wanted to make this dough Gluten Free, should I add Xantham Gum to Gluten Free Self-Raising flour to make it more elastic, or just go with flour on its own?
5 ingredients. Self raising flour, salt x 2, water, oil, pesto, tomatoes, mozzarella, artichoke, pepper. Needless bullshitting aside: It's a good idea, and i love the simple but elegant twist to the edge of the crust. For two people, max, this looks like a fun and easy meal. Thanks :)
If you actually know anything about Jamie 5/7 ingredient books/shows, seasoning like salt/pepper vinegar and oil are always used so they’re left out of the ingredient count. Do your research first.
@@solemiliaflores835 Just because we pretend that something can be left out, doesn't actually make it right. This isn't a 5 ingredient recipe, *period* I can also say that since building a house, as i do it, always includes bricks, windows and roof tiles, i don't count them when making a "how to build a house using only 5 ingredients". ...or building a 5 ingredient car, excluding the metal, rubber, plastic and glas that goes into the typical car. Doesn't make it true though.
Alright, I'm identifying as 4-people family from now on, then.
I love Jamie. I have watched him faithfully. He is inspiring and a joy to watch 😊

Haiyaa he is already phack da Thai green curry up
People ( usually Americans) might mock him but he produces meals that any family can produce without much effort. Or the main thing, cost.
Americans don’t mock him. Italians do.
It's 12 midnight at my place and I'm thankfully awake to watch this beautiful recipe video from the rockstar
The Rockstar of making Italian ancestors cry?

Fantastic Mr. Oliver. Gonna make this with roasted Garlic.

I’m hungry now. That looks so good!
Jesus the amount of time you burn yourself. Please be careful.

Wow, looks fantastic.
Why does Jaime always use self-raising flour? Not as common here.

Your hair looks like Zeki Müren's.
Ohhhhh pizza with a fluted edge. Will try later.
I write since Cameroon, can we realise it without a flavour T45? Here we don't have 00
Thanks for inspiration ❤
Delicious thanks 😋👏👏👏
I ve been doing pesto pizza for years and I LOVE IT
Pesto pizza with feta and veg is my fav!!
Self raising flour? Is this a thing outside UK? Certainly not on shop shelves in Denmark.
❤❤love it. And i'm going to make it.
Thanks Jamie, I love watching him, and learning those tricks he shares too. He is an amazing human, and I have enjoyed watching and listening to him right from his first videos. Jamie does so much to inspire people , getting involved and leading by example.
A little drizzle of oil ... he says
Looks tasty, nice that the dough is so simple, no good at making the traditional way personally. Shame the videos sound is all over the place for me, had to turn on captions to understand some of what he was saying
I've never tried to make the crust. Maybe I will this time.
Would it be possible to remove the subtitles so that we can see what you're doing?

Is this a new series on Channel 4, too?
Watching from Romania
@Jamieoliver If I wanted to make this dough Gluten Free, should I add Xantham Gum to Gluten Free Self-Raising flour to make it more elastic, or just go with flour on its own?
Xantham gum?! Are you crazy... Don't eat that
@@rocklobstah1876 oh. I’ve used it before in some cakes and stuff. I’ve found it helps things be less crumbly.
Is it not very good?
Que linda piza, que delicia! Vou de certeza experimentar, lindo!!
Well done!
THANK YOU JAMIE
Nam nam 😄👍
This is for me!
This was great thanks
Yummy! Thx!

It's 5 ingredients not including salt, pepper, oil, and vinegar. I have multiple 5 ingredient books that do this the same way.
