- A page created by David Gutierrez who studied Animal Sciences and Animal health. All songs tested, meaning they will work for most breeds we can't obviously test all breeds. However, it is best that you find the right tones for your dog. It is also best that when you would like your dog or puppy to relax that petting and love begin at the same time the music starts. This is the same theory that Pavlov had with his dogs. When the bell would ring the dogs new it was time to eat when the tones, notes or chords begin with a song the dog will realize it is time for rest. It is very simple dog psychology. Adding pictures is a way to make the dogs feel that they are not alone especially if you only have one dog, but it is the music that makes the mind go to relax mode. After several days of disturbed sleep due to our 11 year old Lhasa Apso suddenly deciding to go through a spell of anxiety at night this music solved our problem. We tried everything else and was about to take her to the vet but this solved the problem. THANK YOU! She slept right through and even had a long lie! Amazing!

Hi Nancy, puppies are probably the hardest to get to relax especially when just taken from their mother and brothers and sisters I consider this a great success. Isn't is strange in the dog world and many other animals at a certain point the mother begins to separate herself from her puppies. Like birds who kick their young out of the nest and the emotional ties little by little begin to fade. Well we know teeth are a factor, but mother dogs before it is time for their puppies to leave the group are extremely protective. I am currently working on a music video for young puppies who have been weaned and given to a hopefully loving family. This is turning out to be a tough task even with my animal education. I don't how old your puppies was when you got it, but I am glad I was able to help with your puppy. Your kind thoughts mean a lot. Thank you, David

I would have never imagined that Gregorian Chants would have been the ones tested! ) used them, specially Saint Hildegard's chants in the past to help me fall asleep because of insomnia and worked wonders. Right now it's even putting me to sleep. But puppy was already asleep when I found this. Thank you so much! I will certainly try to use this and see how it works with my own dogs. I have one post-op female who is usually calm but in recovery might help ease her pain and 3 crazy males.
Hi Daniela, we have 3 rescue dogs and two of them have medical issues on a diabetic. So we just believe in testing all types of music. There are some types that it seems the dogs don't even hear it. No reaction whatsoever. Just as in humans and from my education in Animal Science and being a musician my myself I knew years ago that certain types seem to relax not only dogs, but my wife would comment that everyone in the house was taking a nap when I was playing a more mellow chord structures and notes. I never would have believed that dogs would have the same calming with music even though I knew about it, but yes it is true. I thank you for taking the time to comment and discuss the music because not all types work for every dog which is mind boggling to me, but it seems like us they have there own taste that works with the receptors of the brain. Please watch out for .coms on UA-cam because any organization that is helping dogs and their are quite a few if they are using .com it usually means they are just out to make money for themselves and it is sad. Nancy, I can't thank you enough and I hope it is working well enough for you to have subscribed. I am here for all dog families and working hard to calm. Every subscriber doesn't know how much they mean to me. Helping a dog and dog family is the goal and why the channel was started and the big channels are just pushing me down with all their commercialization not ads between videos, but they have all the capital to make a therapeutic channel in to a business which is not what my channel is.

Hello Chris Le, it's the power of music and I reach very hard and test on my own rescue dogs to see if it has any positive reaction on them first and foremost. So much music has been tossed aside not because it isn't good music, it just doesn't do the job of calming relaxation. It is a incredible thing , but dogs have a certain taste for music relaxation just like humans. I have been researching this for a long time and it is amazing. You all keep doing these videos as well as my own dogs. I know it works. We tried long ago before we even started a channel. I knew I was on to something. No I can't guarantee it will work or every dog, but I have a very high rate of success that's because I tests the videos. I bring them out when the dogs are getting a little rough or hypert and that is the perfect time to test what works and what doesn't I usually know within an hour if something may work or not.To do an 8 hr-12 hr video takes a lot of work I am making cents on the hour, but comments like all of yours are worth much more to me then money.
My late dog, a chow, loved Fur Elise in his last weeks of life. Maybe he knew the title & figured Elise was a dog? Anyway, it became his lullaby when the pain meds didn't quite work. First few notes, and he was lying down, getting ready to sleep. New dog loves your channel now.

I Want to thank you so much for your kind words. Were off UA-cam because we have lost quite a few people in our family and finally I came back and told myself " Hey, you got a job to do ". I went to school for animal sciences and I took a step further. I knew worked because lots of these video were tested on our own rescue dogs, but it is good to here confirmations like yours. I have lost both parents, a brother, a grandfather and now" not at the same time, but 3 of them in a 2 years span my mom only 3 months ago and my grandfather is in hospice and I am not even that old and negative comments seem to hurt more because I was hurting It's been a nightmarbut this is why I came back to UA-cam to fill my time and do something positive.. So I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Right now this is my only means of income which isn't much and I am in no way playing a sympathy card. The sympathy should be the dogs. I belong to some rescue groups and I have seen some horrible photos and I am tired of it and they can't talk to us and for all the Catholicism jokes al I have to say is " All Dogs Go To Heaven ". Thank you again.

Marian, if I may call you Marian, the thanks goes out to you and all the others who understand what I am trying to accomplish. I apologize for the delay in my response. The channel is under a restructuring process and I have been working on music and graphics. There will be another video soon. Thank you for bringing home a shelter dog. It is so hard for me to go to a shelter and see these wonderful unconditional loving beautiful dogs behind bars. It is so heartbreaking. We need more folks like you in the world. We really do. I don't think the masses understand what is happening with the pet population and how many pets are euthanized. We have 3 rescues and they are all beautiful and spoiled and 90% of the music is tested on them. As I would never release a video that didn't work at home first, but I am not ignorant to the fact that it may not have the same musical powers on all dogs. I wish I could put a satisfaction guaranteed on all videos, but it would be wrong. That is why I keep going. There is a restructuring process of the channel right now and that is why there has not been a new video quite sometime, but soon " Calm My Dog House " will be back with my own written music as I am a musician. This calming music worked right away on my high strung wheaten terrier. My 2 dogs were quite happy when I came home from work today. I've tried quite afew and found this one to be the most effective one so far.
Jill, the so called dog relaxation channels that are out there when they get a lot of views and they suddenly become companies. We are not that. My passion is to help the dog parents dogs of this word the heart and it is hard to get that point across so comments such as yours touches my heart and you understand exactly what we are about. It is simply dogs and now cats with our new channel Cat Melodies which I have not had a lot of time to spend on it, but we will get there. I will never satisfied by how many subscribers or views because I know there are so many more that need help because they can't help themselves so we keep going and learning , researching. I was playing another dog song for my 9 week old puppy and left my phone on the ground. After 10 seconds, she pressed a button on the phone and started playing this music. She stood still and just kept listening to this. It's the craziest thing I think I've ever seen.
Well it's same as in humans , but what is strange is dogs really do have a taste in music. I test all the music with our 3 dogs and family helps me and the songs that I think are going to work sometimes don't. If I could find the tomes and the notes that dogs like, but them dogs are all different so it is a lot of work, but it is well worth it.
I hope you are subscriber and I should be rolling out by the end of the week end 3 or 4 more videos of mellow acoustic music. So look for that and thanks for the story, David

Joyce, if you are okay. That's good, but I have to tell you we have been getting major haters and trolls to this channel and it has a negative effect so what I would like you understand is I am very passionate about animals and our goal is sincere and genuine to help animals that are having trouble. Anxiety in the dog world and cat is a incredible problem and comes out in all sorts of ways, but people think anxiety and stress is more of a human thing as well as I before I was educated in school in animal sciences. So when I see as many comments as yours and then I click on your name and go to your channel and I see a playlist which a playlist means more than one video and I see the one video you have in your playlist is a dog relaxation channel flags begin to rise and fly and I become very defensive for the dogs and cats who are afflicted. Unfortunately animal relaxation has become a business instead of a treatment of helping and we will never look at it in a business sense, that is not to say I do not want to be compensated for my work in this field, but I also want to keep dogs who are on death row and a lot of people don't know, but go on to certain FaceBook pages and you will see dogs in cages with a death date and this breaks my heart and we will send in money to keep that dog alive in hopes for adoption before the worst. These dogs deserve the same kind of warmth and love as our dogs. It breaks my heart and always brings a tear to my eye. I keep fighting, but in the last two months a weird change has happened to our channel we are growing in subscribers and have lost a lot of views and doesn't make sense. We have been trolled quite a bit...you will not see those troll comments because they have been reported to UA-cam, but it is working on trying to destroy us. How do you constantly gain subscribers not losing any and lose views. I don't know, but we will always continue to fight. We used paypal and it has done nothing for us. That's okay we understand maybe people don't want to use the internet or maybe they rescue animals from the needle on their own. We don't criticize even these channels that believe dog relaxation is a business no it is a method of treatment to help dog families. I am struggling, because I have taken the chance after multiple passings and my leg shin bone the fibula as it is called was broken in half and with all of this tragedy losing a brother at 39 my mother , 3 surgeries and my job saying " well if you are not a 100% we cant have you back. It was time to live my dream. Helping the dogs that have helped me over the years with their companions and most of all their unconditonal love. So when I see as many comments as yours and check your channel and see a dog relaxation business on your playlist and that being the only video my first reaction is smoke out my ears, but if that works for your dogs well that's fine, but I also get defensive. So I hope you can understand the difference between "Calm My Dog House " and any other pet relaxation channel with the word company attached. I knock no one in particular, but yes this channel will never be a company. I wish you the very best and if you were thinking out loud. That's okay I don't mind as long as there is no malicious intent against those who cannot defend themselves and you know who I am talking about. Normie Jean, comments inspire me to keep going as we struggle because of these large money motivated channels and that is not the top goal on the list. Every positive comment fills my heart with joy and though I studied animal sciences in school and you know the right research of music and the time that it tales to test it out on my own rescues so I can bring quality to folks like you and to know what I did worked can be overwhelming that the work has paid off and was justifiable as other channels care more about filling there pockets instead of helping the beautiful dogs and cats. Yes most people don't know that we have started a a Relaxation Cat channel called Cat Relaxation Melodies it's still in it's infancy and will take time to grow as we are simply grass roots and we would rather put money in more positive and life saving charities. Our dog had to go to the vet because he ate a pill that is making him go crazy. It is currently nighttime and I have to stay up to watch him because the vet said to keep him from stimulating (being really hyper). I tried a few other music videos, but this is the only one working. He is lieing down in his bed still awake, but not moving around. It is definently working. Thank you a ton for putting this out. It is amazing!!!

These are the kind of stories we love here. People don't what goes in to this process. As I have said before we test all music on our own dogs and we have 3 rescue dogs. It is not just using any music. The pictures are just another soothing part of the process. You would be surprised that dogs do look at the television. Ours do, but of course they don't lie and watch it as humans do, but you do want soothing pictures as well. We are very happy that our hard work has turned in to a positive for you.

This also helps me because I've grown up in a house of swearing, hitting and yelling all the time. It helps me to relax and unwind, aswell as giving my dog the same luxury.

Every time someone comments and we have 99.9 percent positive comments it inspires me that I am making that difference in dog parents and dog's lives. We are a grass roots channel that started simple from the dirt to the grass up. We simply just want to help. It was always a dream of mine. I didn't know if I had the confidence to finally just create a UA-cam channel, but it has worked. The goal has not been reached and when you do something I don't ever think it can be, but I have seen other channels that are just not in it for the dog parents or the dogs. It is just about the $$$. For the right reason I just like your music so I just started righting
The Catholicism joke has been used quite a bit. We removed a lot of them because we didn't think they were seriousness and if we were wrong we apologize, but it's old, its, boring and we are out to help you and your dog and if we did great. It takes a very long time to do these videos and test the music with our own dogs and the uploaded of a 8,10 or 12 hour video is tedious. Please if it worked great, but we are trying to help you and your dog and those who feel desperate when they come home from work and their table is chewed up. I went to school Animal Sciences for 2 years is good to have humor , but there are serious issues as well. My hyper BT has been able to take a nap without getting up and waking me for nothing but attention.

Everything that I do is tested with our own 3 rescue dogs and that is why I put the video up of how it works unfortunately or fortunately it doesn't have , but 39 views, but I try to look at it positively. If it is working for you and your dog then it really makes no sense to watch how it works and you know that for sure.

However, she's still my baby girl... we are relaxing in bed.. think she's asleep... she seems to love this.... hoping so🤞🏼... also for when I have to be away from her... running errands.. things like that... Cheryl hi, I am David the creator of the channel. Your comments give me so much joy as you know as dog lovers we want the best and sometimes it's hard because they can't talk so we have to learn their behavior and that's how this all started. My suggestion for your dog is the 8 hr especially. I know you need a couple of hours, but since the video you commented on I would go with 8 hrs Dog Relaxation for the anxious dog the time on thumbnail is 8:00:06 . Now remember you can turn it off it does not have to run for 8 hours. I think people forget that if your dog responds to a certain music video and lets say it's 10 hrs, but your only going to be gone 5 hrs. All you have to do is switch it off. My emotion of happiness is very high from these type of comments. The last two years have been very hard for me and for over a year I never even looked at this channel. I came back and it has been therapy for me. So the dogs and the owners are helping me as well. I can't make a living on youtube. It takes a lot of views. I am not allowed to say by the contract, but it isn't very much so I am thinking of putting a donate button if I have helped dogs around the world the owners. So I have a question for you? Blank would just not be a good thing to do. Even though a dogs vision is limited and the long misconception of a dog seeing only in black and white is just not correct physiological science. They see all colors, but if I remember correctly from my animal science schooling...blues and greens are what they see best. So they can see the dogs on the screen, but there vision is not as clear and as lucid as humans. I have seen dog television on UA-cam and I have never seen a dog watch TV for more than a few minutes. The pictures are there to help the owners and the dogs, but as far as them laying in front of a television and watching TV it just is not correct. If a dog is in relaxation it's used from our stand point as they are not alone if they look up and happen to see the screen and they due get used to looking up at it for a few seconds. We have tested all of this. So that is why we do it. If you here anything different, it's not honesty. My dog hunter has serious separation anxiety and can not be left alone or be in a dark place even with me.Today I put it on in the surround sound tv and left. Came back about 30 min ago. She's still sleeping
I just brought home a new dog and was curious if dogs appreciated/reacted to music in a similar way humans do (my main question was whether they had preferences in certain genres and songs based on their frequencies). Now he's slowly drifting to sleep to this music as I study :) it seems to be helping comfort him and I personally don't mind it
Hello Phoenix Animations, there isn't genre of music as long as the music is of a mellow mood. This is why I test all sorts of music. I am guitar player and this came about years ago. I am a guitar player and when I wanted to relax I would play acoustic guitar and just improve chords and notes and my wife said " when you do that certain melodies put everyone including my wife and daughters in to relaxation mode. So there is so much goes in to a relaxation video and testing songs is the hardest part, but the most fulfilling in the end with photos on the television which is better than a computer obviously. Dogs don't get enough credit, there are videos that will work the first time out or you may have to choose another video, but if any video doesn't show any response it never makes it to UA-cam and there are some that have never seen the light of day and they might have taken hours to create, but I don't care. Yes dogs react to different kinds of music. If you have a dog that suffers anxiety and it creates behavior problems and if I can help then every second is worth it. The dogs are first and foremost. It's a awful lot of work to make a 10 hour video fake. I know it seems that we just throw pictures up there and some music and call " Ourselves " Relax My Dog House " I could explain it, but I will tell you this with looking for music that works and testing on our own 3 dogs and then the uploading of the video we are looking about 48 hrs sometimes longer it is a tedious process and the pictures are the easiest, but no fakery here. We do it for you and especially for the dogs. Believe it or not there are people out who think that their dogs are better off in a shelter because they don't want to give the love and TLC that dogs need. No shelters be patient. They only time a person should go to a shelter is to get a dog not house one. Thank you and I am glad it worked for you we love and your dog and we hope you have a great life together

Hi, thank you for your comment, but I have never sold the music on CD. I am a musician and have used my own music in a couple of videos, under the guidelines of UA-cam and the musicians that create a lot of the music for this channel are under a creative commons license and maybe you have purchased their music. In the very near future the channel will feature all of my music probably in the next couple of months. I don't know what I will do as far as the public is concerned it probably be free, but you can donate if you like. Back to the main comment. That is the goal of " Relax My Dog House " I did take Animal Sciences in school and with the teachings of Pavlov and my own guitar playing we noticed that the dogs would go straight in to a relaxed mode. I had howling videos on right before this to make my dogs howl with me (I think it's cute) and I put this video on to try it out then I was like, "why is is suddenly so quiet?" I look around and both great danes (including my velociraptor 12 week old that never stops playing) are snuggled and sleeping on the couch!!!!

It was storming outside and my dog was panicking. She knows she isn’t allowed on my bed, but she jumped up there and ran over to me whimpering. I tried to hold her down and comfort her, but she kept struggling. Stuff like this never works, but I tried it and her eyes started to squint and she stopped trying to get away.
it worked for my dog I was chilling his nails and he jumped and his nail started bleeding but this calmed him down

Barbara C, I don't exactly know which relaxation therapy video you are talking about. I only know ne language and that is English. However, if there is a therapy video on there with line verse or chorus with a different language. It's because it worked to calm our rescue dogs. Our music that we try and most doesn't get used cause it doesn't work, but where we get our music there are no hidden messages or evil or nasty words from another language. Our music people do not send me any such type of music it is against our contract and they would lose a lot of money. Not by me because with only over 780 subscribers I don't make enough money obviously to do what I would like to do with the channel. I will be making a video to explain why we have not posted anything new in quite a while. If you are worried about the music. I assure you. There should be no worry. We've been playing these videos for our dogs for a few months now while we're at work. Last week, the one who is not left in the cage during the day has started pulling the speaker off the desk and chewing on it. This has been happening EVERY. DAY. WHYYYYY??!?!
Hi Nicole, this is a troubling comment and one that is tough to answer. I don't get any comments about this type of issue. It is usually a hater comment never mentioning the dog only the owner saying rude things. So thank you for mentioning the problem.
First of all if it were me and you certainly don't have to do this is move the speaker so the dog cannot get a hold of it. I don't understand why all of the sudden you have been playing this for months and now the dog decides to tear the speaker up. Usually when a dog acts out when there are no humans home it is a separation anxiety problem. We have 3 rescue dogs and only one has separation and that is our Doberman , but the videos took care of that change the video. Do you think it may be because the other dogs are caged and the dog who is not doesn't understand why his brothers or sisters are caged ? Remember are only communication with pets is by their behavior and the dog is definitely trying to tell you something. Please make the changes and get back to me. Hello Internet Anthem, well it has a effects on humans as well. Not just our dogs. I suppose " Calm My Dog House " can be for all as well as helping our dogs who cannot help themselves. Once in a great while we will experience a troll comment. Just people who have nothing better to do. This is a very hard process, but one that is well worth the work. I do understand that folks who have dog behavior issues would not think anxiety is an issue for dog, but in talking to our Veterinarian it is a huge issue for some dogs especially rescue dogs and dogs who have been mistreated.
The human side is also a factor and has been a positive relaxation source for those like you as well.

Hi Eric, I work hard with testing the music on my rescues . If it works it gets uploaded if it doesn't it gets trashed.
I know it won't work for all pet parents and pets, but going through the choosing of the music and testing which is long and hard and especially now I am composing all of my own music. I feel if it works on my pets it has to work on others. A lot of folks try it once and if they don't get results they move to another. Sometimes it may take a few times it's training the situation has to be right and everyone is different, but thanks for commenting it is well appreciated. Peace, Love and Happiness
