I have a few tips: you can get right away the rotten stinger spear lodged in the dino underwater(be carful of underwater spider). Also the safest location in grounded is a field station in the upper yard which you need to build up to it near the wheelbarrow. it also serves as a fantastic zipline location since its so high up (be careful about the drop by adding fences!). And lastly you should get the robot arm weapon as soon as possible because it is pretty powerful and it comes with a trinket that buffs rotten weapons like the stinger spear. you play your own way tho laggin!
I know all of this, but thanks. Problem is, I got the Wacker in my Whoa Mode play through really, really early, and same with the bee spear in my normal play through. I need to do things differently, or it will be just like watching those all over again. As far as the Field Station on the fence in the upper backyard is that the ground below it has 4 Orb Weavers, 2 Black Ox, Ladybirds, and Ladybird Larva. The point is to stay alive lol, sure once I build up to it, or parkour up it might be safe, but I would surly die even trying to get set up over there
I'll be turning it on and off as I play. Its how I like doing it. You see it when it matters most, during fights. There is so much information on the HUD its extremely cluttered imo and prefer it off some of the time
Besides eFt i always been a fan of Ark but im starting to feel like grounded is a bit more exciting fighting bugs then Ark has been in awhile. I feel like they did a better job in grounded to incorporate bug parts to build stronger weapons where as ark u get whatever u need from hitting a rock and really is no point in putting u or your tames in danger to fight some carno or trex that u can just fly over or run away from. They should make like the rifle trigger out of a trex tooth so u actually had a reason to kill one or u only could get the blueprint front the stomach of one of them thereby making u get a dino strong enough to fight... grounded def did it right ark should take some pointers and their game would be more exciting forcing to fight things u might run from otherwise. Maybe the blueprint for the smithy is a normal get but the metal working items are something found in a stomach of a beast. That would completely change how that game is played.

I personally go after Rotten larva blade within first couple days, earlier you get that more useful it is.

You can have 2 mutations applied at this stage. It even said so in ur menu
If you can, switch the bottom stairs to a half stair and the ants shouldn't be able to get up to your food anymore.
