    You are a huge inspo Holly! I am now always trying to incorporate at least one vegan meal into my daily diet! and it is so easy! Today- I've been fully vegan, even while at a restaurant for lunch! YAS! :))

    Your vlogs motivate me to stay on track with assignments and uni work. I find it hard to stay motivated and sometimes stop leaving my house because I'm overwhelmed but seeing you maintain a healthy, productive lifestyle makes me want to get up and get through everything right away.

    Little advise, after you add the pasta, add some olive oil to the boiling water so the water doesn't rise up and replenish the pot :)

    unripe green bananas in supermarkets are such a daily struggle of mine, if I forget once to buy bananas like 2 weeks early, it means I won't have a good banana, and that my friend is a very underrated worldwide issue

    Try rinsing the pasta in cold water before cooking ❤ It should help with reducing the foam.

    If you soak goji berries in some water it makes them way less chewy and they taste so sweet and amazing!! 😍 give it a try!

    Holly, your eyes will become lazy if you don't use your glasses. I didn't use my glasses got an lazy eye and almost became blind on that eye, it strengthens your eyes to wear a prescription a bit lower than you actually need and please consult an eye doctor so you can make a plan for your eyes. Btw love your videos and really don't want you to loose your sight.

    So the thing is, I tried veganuary and it worked really well, but my issue is only with milk and some cheeses that I really like. So basically where I live, there aren't really many alternatives for non-vegan things. And I don't need an alternative for eggs or chicken or meat or whatever but I just really like milk and I can't find alternatives for it, which is the only thing stopping me from being vegan. But I have transitioned to vegetarian

    I was the same with goji berries, I found them better if when I make the porridge and it’s in the microwave, to put them in at the same time when microwaving and they went softer and seemed sweeter. Xx

    I've 'been a vegetarian for 6 years. It's been a good decision for me. I find it easy..... easier than eating meat actually. I intentionally keep a low profile as to being a vegetarian and don't try to convert others to be vegetarians. I live in an extremely rural and extremely poverty stricken area of southwest Mississippi, USA where hunting, killing and eating animals is a way of life. That way of life plays out as either a decision based on "sport" or as a "no other way to feed my hungry family" situation. Likewise, those hunting for sport most often try to make sure that the meat coming from the animal killed is given to someone in need....... and that the animal was just not killed for the sake of killing. I'm a 67 year old retired government lawyer that is disconnected from the day to day reality of how those facts are actually lived out around here....etc. So, I don't judge the meat eaters and the meat eaters don't judge me. A pretty harsh situation for an old softie like me...... but it is what it is.....

      Its only the industry that is an issue. Fishing in wild rivers and hunting stable deer populations in forests for meat, or raising chickens is very sensible. Unfortunately 95-99% of people in developed countries get theirs from the slaughterhouse, which is a nightmare.

    I thought the same thing with my eyes getting lazy if I wear my glasses but trust me that is not true. In fact, not wearing my glasses for a year causes them to get 3x times as bad in a single year and now I wear them every day​. Wear them!

    My natural eyesight is so bad I would be disabled if I didn’t have my glasses. You can be standing five feet from me and I won’t be able to distinguish your facial features properly. I wouldn’t be able to read, write, drive, or make eye contact (because I can’t see your eyes!) without them. It makes me feel incredibly lucky that of all the physical aliments I could have had, I got the one that is so incredibly common that people have found a way to make the world accessible to someone like me, to the point that poor eyesight isn’t even considered a disability. I hope that one day we make the world more accessible to others with different physical limitations so that their limits aren’t considered disabling either. Everyone deserves access :)

      I've had glasses since I was 1 and a half and I have bad vision as well. I'm a 10 in one eye and an 11 in the other. Don't know what it means except it's not good lol

    I tried to go veggie back in September when coming back to uni but for some reason couldn't commit properly. Then after Christmas, I decided I really wanted to give it a go so from 1-31st January I was vegetarian. Since the 1st Feb, I have been Vegan and I had originally set out just to do it for the whole of February, but I love it so much I'm going to keep with it indefinitely! I find it quite easy, I don't like dairy milk anyway so I have drunk plant milk since starting uni last year. My only gripe is cheese, but I have tried some vegan cheese and it's pretty good!

    Holly I have always observed you never entertaining yourself with videos or series or random shows while having your food. Instead you either browse through your notes or study on your laptop, basically you make even the meal time productive. I on the contrary go on to watch something and just can't Stop.. only to realise I have wasted hours mindlessly watching random videos on UA-cam when my meal was over hours ago. Please suggest ways to end this vicious cycle, I'm frustrated.

I started watching your videos when you were just about to start Uni, then I sort of got caught up with my work but now Im back enjoying your videos.Hope we are of the same age, because watching you study inspires me to do so, however I graduated from the Uni 10 years ago! 😭 Oh and I always look forward to the part where you make yourself a big bowl of food!!     I love goji in overnight oats... having them rehydrated might help because they a super tasty, also I toss them in when I start cooking oats hot so they soften 💚

    Wear your glasses, if not wearing them made a difference for the better nobody would get prescription. You are straining your eyes and they may get lazy in the long term. Hope the eye appointment went well.

    I used to study for hours but now even 10 minutes seems like hell it has to do something with my mental health but please tell me how to focus bevause all i want to do is stay in bed watch my dramas even tho I plan organize and I am freak for schedules but I just can't seem to focus now a days
    Maybe it has to do something with the place I study at or that I don't really get vacations or break or that I don't have good enough place to study I just don't know i am hoepless.m

      I used to feel the same way! Two things really helped me. On the short term, avoiding using my phone especially in the morning; I've noticed I'm way more productive if I don't go on it first thing when I wake up. On the long term, taking a break really helped me destress and find new motivation to get things done; the first time I had to take two weeks off so now I'm making sure I take at least one free day per week! I hope it helps you 😊

      The same struggle..I was used to study and work for 18 hours a day;and I found it ok,but now,I don't have the energy to do anything,even to go to the bathroom!I am becoming so lazzzzzzzy,I am used to be the productive girl,but now I feel I'm such a lazy one !

      @@emanuelaf.1339 i just feel like it's unfair to me when I work and realize that I won't even get to have fun later on as my uni isn't giving vacations or there aren't events I have to plan small hangouts by myself
      I keep stressing about small stuff before mids and finals even start that in daily routine i dont indulge in stuff that I like
      I feel like when exams would come i wont be able to watch this video or drama might as well stay at home and watch it now so I don't go out that often for walks even tho I love them or just enjoy the nature or even paint or read my book

    Oh and also a tip for opening the jars is basically make sure that the lid is actually on, hold the jar upside down, cup your hands slightly and hit the bottom of the jar with a cupped hand a few times. This somehow reduces pressure or whatever (idk physics) but it makes it easier. Or, you can try to grab something (safe) to use as a level and insert it into the gap between the jar and the lid and life it to release the gas trapped inside. Hope this helps!!

      Try blending them and turning it into flour and using for baked goods to use them up. I reccomend caitlin shoemakers banana bread recipe

      Josipa Tojčić cold oats are so good. So get some oats and cover them in milk and I add in cocoa powder, cinnamon and vanilla extract and put them in the fridge overnight

      @@cornflourr i much prefer warm oats. usually only have overnight oats if i prepare them to take with me to uni the next day. cacao powder, chia, banana and blueberries is my favourite combo ^^

    i was vegan for over a year however my iron levels dropped very low. my platelets were high and my hemoglobin was small and low in number iv tried lots of dark greens and made sure i consumed vitC at the same time. iv had to have iron infusions just to keep me healthy

    you inspire me to eat less meat and more vegs. i already rejected fair, skin (shoes) on its way, skin products too. trying to eat more veggie. i think slow transition will work best for me.

    I've tried to be vegan or to eat vegan quite often. But the problem I've got with it is my huge food intolerance which changes quiet to often for my liking, like one day I can eat a bit of fruits and the other it's like fruits are my death. But I try to only use vegan skincare and makeup (if I wear some :D) and look generally to avoid products with which animals were harmed which works quiet good.
    It would be nice if you could talk about all the brands that you know which aren't vegan or use animal testing. Thanks a lot!

    I have tried veganism, I have many lunches that are vegan, and all of my breakfast are vegetarian if not vegan too. However I don't think I can become totally a vegan, because I don't really like beans and lentils and basically any tipe of vegetable protein, except chickpeas, because they make me really bloated. And other thing I think I am allergic to soy, so I can't really eat tofu or stuff like that. So I can go quite easily vegetarian, but not really vegan. If you have any suggestions please let me know, I would love to here that. Thank you☺️❤️

    Soo, I've never tried to eat vegan, but I tried to go for vegeterian. It didn't last too ong though, since I love meat. When I tried to go without it, I found myself avoiding real meats or salads (since I love to put chicken in it) and craving a lot of junk food, ther has been days, where I only ate cereal with loads of choclate and crisps. SO I went back to normal. But the last week or too I tried to reduce my meat consume and also only buy bio (I know, the standards ther - especially n supermarkets are super low, so I try to get it directly from the farmers near my hometown, same goes for veggies and fruit. It helped me developing a healthy lifestyle in general and I feel like for now, that's as good as we're gonna get, cause I still need some time to get used to not eating meat on my everyday toasts or bread. Instead I make it something more special, which I can look forward to and eat, if I feel like it. We'll se, where I'll go in the future, maybe I'll become a vegeterian one day (excluding avoiding fish, cause I love fish even more than meat and eat it only about four or five times a year anyway). You're videos have helped me accomplishing liking veggies and fruit more and more (I used to be super picky and avoid eating them anytime I could), so thanks a lot for that. Also find it super interesting to see your meals and I'm planning on trying one of those vegan meals out anytime soon. So thanks for being such an inspiration, not just for me, but for a lot of people out there!
