As a Bangladeshi I am sorry to say the people in our country lack simple English let alone good English, we are even behind countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka no need to mention India because they are way ahead of us when it comes to speaking decent English.
In Bangladesh our people’s vocabulary and grammar is very very bad, they mispronounce things and/or their grammar is really bad to put it politely. Even if you watch pakistani shows they speak English so confidently but watch our shows and the host lacks speaking in English when they try to speak it.
Learning English properly is very important in my opinion because it is an international language and if you want to travel abroad and work then you should learn the English language properly especially as you have Bangladeshis that want to travel or work abroad than I think it’s paramount that they learn and speak the English language properly.
It’s sad to see Bangladeshis prefer learning Urdu more than English, speaking urdu won’t get you anywhere internationally but knowing English properly will.
