Very nice! Tight lines🐜🦟🐞!!!!!
This is a very good Nymph pattern, and will be fishing my own variant of it. Thank you Hackles &Wings for this pattern.
Thank you very much! Hope it works out well. Tight lines, Simon
Love your videos. Keep it up. I’m learning a lot. Thank you.
Thanks a lot Stan!
I have been killing it with this pattern this spring. I varied from your version and used a dubbed body picked off natural hare's mask and used cdl for tail but I'm pretty sure if I could find what you use it would hook em just as much or more. Thank you!
Very nice tie and a great looking vise as well ! Mark
Thank you very much! Here is a better look at the vise www.petitjean.com/online/de/swiss-vise/181-swiss-vise-25th-anniversary-limited-edition-1990-2015.html
Very nice pattern :-)
Thank you! :)
Nice looking fly Simon, thanks for sharing. All the best to you and yours. Sean
Thank you Sean! All the best to you. Simon
I tie one like that with brown and olive body's here in N. California. It's called Hogans nymph S&m. I think its the crystal flash legs that the fish key on, because I tie it with pheasant tail for legs and don't get much response.
Had never heard of that fly, but looks like a really good one. These legs sure make the difference
I have a question for you. I typically remove the two small filaments from the synthetic quill. I think it makes for a nicer looking abdomen and allows any underbody to show through better. What are your thoughts?
+Mark Patenaude I've actually never tried to remove them, will have to try this out. As you say, I am sure it would give a more natural tranluscent body. Thanks for the idea!
