Thank you so much for making this video. Your filming is very clear and easy to follow with the instructions listed for each section or change of yarn color. This is exactly what I needed for Monty the Moose Snuggler I am currently making for a Christmas present. My nephew is almost 2y.o. and I didnt want to use plastic eyes. Thanks again!
just made these for a jumbo stuffed turtle (bernat baby blanket yarn) and scaled up to sport/DK weight and a 4.0mm hook for the eyes - they look great!!
Estava em dúvida se fazia os olhos dos meu amigurumis crochetados, agora não tenho mais dúvidas ❤, ficou lindo precioso, raposa é meu amigurumi favorito 🦊
Any suggestion if the project is already black? I made a black cat and I’m scared the eyes will blend in. I love those eyes! What other color would look good?
I’d love to try this, because I wanna make something for my baby brother and don’t wanna use plastic eyes for it. But I have to ask, how do you attach them? I’ve looked at a couple tutorials similar to this and have been unable to find one that shows you how.
The hook size depends of yarn you use and the final size of eyes you need. For example I use thin cotton yarn 280m*50g and hook size 1mm to get eyes with d~0.8-0.9mm for amigurumi heigh 20cm
There's link to pattern for fox and clothes for it right in video description www.etsy.com/toyfoxstore/listing/651196480/fox-amigurumi-crochet-pattern-little?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=crochet+fox&organic_search_click=1
Yarn and hook size depend of eye size you would like to get. In video I used hook 2mm US4 and yarn YarnArt Jeans (160m*50g). But in fact I never make eyes of this yarn - I use hook 1mm and thin yarn (smth about 140m*25g)
I've just tried with a 2mm hook and some embroidery floss. It turned out perfect for my finished size toy. I guess you have to play around with hook sizes and yarn thickness to find the perfect match for the toy you're making
@@toyfoxstore2366 Oh I didn't know about the back-and-forth, I was wondering when you end start the next round, do you start under the slip stitch or in the next one? Idk how to explain 😅 English is not my native language
@@toyfoxstore2366 Oh ok, thanks you, I was trying again and again and I was like "Why the white in my ears is so twisted and not in the middle, and how am I supposed to change color before next round?" 🤣 So it means when I finished my round, I don't need any slip stitch or nothing, only continuing the work that's right? 😅

I will try, but I'm not sure about the eye' size than my amigurumi 🤔

These are adorable! May i ask how u sew them in the head after? U use the different colored yarn tales left?
I usually glue eyes, it’s easy and fast. You can use any transparent glue for fabric or glue gun

Any suggestion if the project is already black? I made a black cat and I’m scared the eyes will blend in. I love those eyes! What other color would look good?
Try grey. Or perhaps navy blue, dark green. Dark green-light or bright green- and white should be nice for cat eyes
Thank you!
welcome :)
Wao
You make this look so easy. How do you manage with a 1mm hook? Even trying with a 2mm hook and embroidery floss, I can't seem to get it to work
Any secret technique - only experience :) The more you try - the best results you get.
How do you typically attach your eyes? Do you sew them on or glue them?
I usually glue eyes using transparent glue for fabric or glue gun. It’s very fast and reliable :)
I’d love to try this, because I wanna make something for my baby brother and don’t wanna use plastic eyes for it. But I have to ask, how do you attach them? I’ve looked at a couple tutorials similar to this and have been unable to find one that shows you how.
Hi! I just glue eyes using transparent glue - it's very easy and fast
@@toyfoxstore2366 thank you for the response! But I wanna know if that’s safe for babies.
@@TheDracoChickDo sew eyes to be sure. It's nog so easy and fast as gluing but it definitely more safe
You could use sewing thread or something similar to sew it on so you wouldn't see it?
@@ashleybraswell8318 that’s what I ended up doing. I’m now able to do variants of the eyes!
I love it!! Thanks

?Can I use embroidery thread instead? They come in six strand width?
Absolutely! I tried embroidery thread and hook 1.25mm, it turned perfect.
Merci 👍🏻😊

I bought that fox PDF but I'm lost 😔do you work it in a spiral or in a row?
Hello! There's crocheting in round (Rnd) and back-and-forth (Row) in pattern. Which details do you mean exactly?
@@toyfoxstore2366 Oh I didn't know about the back-and-forth, I was wondering when you end start the next round, do you start under the slip stitch or in the next one? Idk how to explain 😅 English is not my native language
@@mehisfrx oh, got it. It's in spiral. Actually in amigurumi you don't have to make lifting chains - only when it's indicated by designer

Anyone knows what "inc" mean?
inc - increment (2sc in 1stitch)
@@toyfoxstore2366 thank you
How do you attach the eye to the fox?
exactly my question!
You can sew your eyes. But I prefer to glue crocheted eyes - it's very easy and fast. And very reliable

inc means increment. Abbreviations at 0:10 in video :)
