- Learn, how to fix can't connect to this network wifi error on Windows 10. WiFi network may not connect due to different reasons. If you have tried multiple times and still unable to connect to the WiFi network then here are 4 ways to fix the issue on Windows 10.
1. Check IP & DNS
2. Check for changed wifi password and security types.
3. Network reset.
4. Fix Socket errors and IP reset
5. Update/Uninstall WiFi adapter.
6. Network troubleshooter.
Note: It is advised to create a system restore point before following any Windows tutorial.

I'm getting this error after switching out my Linksys stock firmware router with a DD-WRT firmware. The wi-fi is set up identically, but Windows can no longer connect to it. A smartphone also fails with "unable to obtain IP address" even though DHCP is set up on the router. I've upgraded the firmware on the router and the problem persists.

Well, it WAS working for 24 hours until last night when I logged in again I noticed the internet went out, so when I tried to connect again, it either connected for 10 seconds then disconnected, or it just couldn’t connect at all. @@sandeepsingh18 Yeah, I'll check back in in a few days and let you know if it fixed the issue completely. It was something that happened on startup every single time. It was happening a few months ago, but I let it go and it went away after 2-3 weeks but came back. For some reason, I would click connect, it would try to connect for about 30 seconds, then say cant connect. I'd have to go through multiple restarts, shut downs, power cutoffs, etc until finally I got lucky and it connected. It usually took anywhere between 30-90 minutes to do, it was really annoying. I'll let you know in a few days after I've started it up more times if it was a permanent fix. Thanks again!
@@sandeepsingh18 So it's been a few days. It's been working great! The past few days I have been able to connect immediately no problem. Today, I had the same issue, but I tried the same solution (just using the windows troubleshooter), and it fixed it in a matter of seconds. Seems like this will work whenever it pops up, and its really not a big inconvenience either. Thank you so much again man!
