If she’s a Nurse, she’d know what caused the wound is not initially important. Tourniquet, pressure and keep calm. 101 stuff

I've seen people bleed out from shark bites. It can happen really fast

I've swam at New Smyrna Beach forever. I'm shocked at how close these sharks are swimming to the shore 😮

Actually no. It’s not. Sebastian inlet is. Also St. John’s River. Bull sharks galore.

Not a good thing. Just happy that he has his life and good health. My heart goes out to you. Always look around and be totally aware of your surroundings.

When I was a teenager I went to live for awhile with my other dad and his girlfriend, so she was always taking me to New Smyrna beach and never told me not to swim way out, which I was always doing out to a sand bar that was pretty far out. Never told me to be careful, nothing. So not even that long ago I find out New Smyrna is top shark bite capital of any beach. I look back now and think she must have been trying to get rid of me!!! Not a good feeling but I'm pretty sure that was the plan. 😢

Let's see, where do most shark attacks happen? 2 ft of water along the shore! You just can't fix stupid can you?

Most shark attacks happen by the piers, where people are fishing with big chunks of bait. They also happen around Rocky areas in the water

To be fair, his foot does resemble a tarpon.
