I think you need a guy reed shepard edey or Clingon a guy that is a specialist and and a dude that is a unique talent at their position I'd take the pick or even if I felt really strong about a fit after workouts I'd trade up ...
Reed Sheppard is a better defense Austin reeves who shot 60 pct 3 he is plug and play off the bench could be the new Steve Kerr with d and a Lil hops .... Clingon is good Edey put up big numbers rebounds and scores around the rim Filipowski is as good as bancaro as far as versatile probably all 3 over 7ft and could come right in and be as good or better than Crocodile Lawndale and be a mismatch that will open up shots for the perimeter guys I think the Khalil ware pick is a good one but this draft reminds me of the Greg oden draft where they said it was just Oden and Durant but so many guys played well there rookie year and went on to be guys like Mike Conley and so on

Keep Dillion until Tari Develops and then look at it as a trading piece. I think Dillion will have a better coming season. He's continuing to improve.
Tari is already better than Dillon and the gap will only grow more in year 3, if we get a good enough offer trade brooks rn. Let Vanvleet play this season and trade him after so both Amen Tari can start together. Then you will have the perfect defense and one of the best rebounding teams ever

Keep the pick and get a shooter. Either Knecht or Shepherd. If none are available then draft best player available. Trading the pick won’t get us much.
Just watched Kel'el Ware's highlight tape and I gotta agree! He's very intriguing.
They need an actual long term vertical threat. More than shooting, they need a guy that can actually run the floor, be a rim deterrent, and catch lobs. No rookie no matter how good is as reliable a shooter as more experienced players anyway. But height isn't something that really fluctuates, and can be more directly and immediately impactful. Especially for a team like the rockets that is and has been too short for way too long now
This is what I've been saying. This here fills more of our problems than shooting. We have scorers which makes up for the lack of shooting but we literally have nothing stopping other bigs, as well as someone with good size who can impose his will

Kinda agree but I think Kegan Murray was a sniper as rookie and I think we took a guy at 10 or sumn one time that was a reliable shooter and defender on a championship team as a rookie

Make the selection for Reed Sheppard or Dalton K. if not trade the pick outright for what would be an estimated middle rounder next year to try and move up in that draft as high as possible.
I feel the rockets should keep their draft picks I can see them drafting Alex sarr or Zach Edey to me one of the two would be the perfect fit there's no way I trade the picks

He’s a more athletic Duncan Robinson now who has the off the bounce game that he’s turned into a legitimate threat.
Keep Dillon at the starting SF… let Tari be the back up SF & back up PF.. our focal point should be to find a good combo guard who can shoot and defend off the bench. Basically take Aaron holidays spot. Someone who can do what Fred vanvleet does when Fred is not in the game.
Hot take trade.up for sarr maybe we can move future assets without the core six involved and find a way to keep the nets and get shep.
If the rockets are considering a trade I would love to see them trade up if that's what it takes to get Zach Edey or Alex Sarr
Saar will go at 1 or 2. Edey isn't good enough to be a lottery player.

If landing top 4 pick you draft Reed Sheppard, he can shoot the lights out , outside of top 4 while he's not great to even good defender Dalton Knecht can also shoot. Another option move down maybe a few spots and take Jared McCain out of Duke,
Well we have our 9 man rotation set with the bench unit being amen, cam, tari, and adams. And it doesn't matter if they're on the bench to start, if they get minutes in different rotations. On top of that, the only real position you can upgrade without stopping development is brooks.
So you have to ask yourself: am I going to get more production from a backup in a rookie, or am I going to get more production from a KCP, Malik Monk, Obi Toppin guy. I think we instantly become a better team when we're healthy, and we don't have Aaron holiday and Jasean Tate playing 12-15 minutes a night.
Lot of different ways we can go. I love Ware, but I would rather play it safe with Williams, clingan, Sheppard, knecht, or maybe buzelis if he drops. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone has a surprising slide.
Im ok keeping the pick or trading down and getting multiple guys like say Ware or Kyshawn George and Furphy or Tidjane Salaun
The smart move would be to trade DOWN and address need like shooting. This draft is full of good role players. The upgrade of position is obvious, a back up guard - a combo guard. Guys like Jared McCain or Kyshawn George..

Ease Tari into the SF position, pick up some veteran shooters in free agancy, and draft a versatile big who can protect the rim and do other things like Kelel Ware from Indiana or draft the stud pg Rob Dillingham from Kentucky.
Cam Whitmore should be for three. We can use a young center to wait until Adams is gone.

If they keep the picks, I like Knecht or Reed at 9, and N'Faly Dante at 44. I also wouldn't mind Ware and Ajay Mitchell.
Team should get a sharp shooter somehow and let the shooters shoot, drivers drive! The current roster won’t give up throwing bricks.
i know you wont believe me but you are about to experience the steven adams effect, players will get better the team will go 50+ next year defense will improve offense will improve rockets will finish first in rebounds (both ends). Rockets will make atleast 2nd round next post season. And a lot of kiwis will flood the social medias

Already have almost too much young talent. It's almost to the point to where I feel like a lot of her highly talented players aren't going to get enough experience on the court. I wanna see guys like Whitmore, Amen and Eason get more time. We draft another young player He's just going to get lost in the shuffle
that being said we should trade our pick and one of our veterans along with it.
I don't want another player to develop so I'm for trading the pick. We need an upgrade at backup point guard over Aaron Holiday. This season we snuck up on a lot of teams and got a fast start. That's not going to happen next year. I figure we may follow the footsteps of what the Kings did the last two seasons. Not what the Thunder did the last 2 seasons. We were 27th in the league in FG% last year and there is no rookie out there that is going to change that much. Keeping the pick will slow down the rebuild. But I think that is what Stone will do, draft another player. He is milking his GM job for all its worth. Cleveland was equal to us when Stone took over. Look what they have done. If we stay pat, we are destined to be the 12 seed again.

The Rockets should select Tidjane salaun. he’s everything wembayama except for height. He’s got super star potential. If they don’t wanna use the net pick to draft him, they can do another trade with okc to draft him with the pick initially belonging to the Rockets. they can do it Like sengun’s draft deal with same okc or another team
They need a energy player who can play d and create plays
I would trade the pick back to Brooklyn for a future unprotected first round pick. Brooklyn will be bad for the next two years. We need to give playing time to players already on the team, especially the core 6. I believe there are more impact players in next year’s draft.
After 10 there is a drop off. The good shooters are top 10
Regardless who we pick, if it’s not knecht it might be tough to give them minutes.

also sheppard as a shooter>knecht. plus knecht dont play defense. you mention he scores the ball real well, but he is 23 years old. i would hope he scores well against players younger than him. reed sheppard is the best fit on this roster easily. sheppard can be a legit 3 and d player for us.
League is at the swap phase where all the big names are getting old and new hot players are just getting into their spotlight but did not accomplish anything. Never seen a league we see this much separation in age gap that it’s not worth trading pick for any upgrades since you either gut your team to pieces for aging super star. Clippers, Bucks, Phoenix and Kings probably wants their trade package back

For me personally I think they need to trade the pick. I don’t think we can develop anymore young guys unless it’s a young guy that can contribute like Keegan Murray or maybe bring them slowly.
If they can trade the pick and get like a Korey Kispert, Caruso or any other shooters then trade the pick.
If you can’t find a player like that. Just keep the pick and get a shooter like Reed Sheppard Knecht is also another one I would think about using that pick on. We also need another big if they don’t bring back Landale get Ware or the center for Baylor as a backup big.

Keep the Nets first round pick. It's a top ten pick! I don't care how weak the draft is supposed to be, you can always find hidden gems! Many superstars go even after the lottery! We'll be sitting pretty to draft a guy who can help in the future! And rookie deals are cheap for a few years, lol! Might find another beast like Cam for pennies on the dollar! If luck (or the guys who rig the lottery) decides to jump our pick up into the top 4 we'll have 2 top ten picks! Stranger things have happened, lol! In that case, two top ten picks might could net us a really good role player or fringe all-star in a trade! Trade, sell, or give away our second round pick, lol! Unless there is a project that might can be a star with some years of experience like a Giannis or Joker who were drafted lower.
If Reed Sheppard falls to 9 10, which I doubt he will, I'd say he'd be the ideal pick. Realistically speaking, I think Stephon Castle is our guy. I feel he's a Udoka guy, too. A blue collar guy and consumate team player.
castle would be such a bad fit on our team. we dont need another guard who cant shoot.
@alfredmatthews1746 but he can work on his shot just like Tari Eason did. He's still not a knock down shooter, but I remember reading his scouting report about him needing to work on his offensive game. I think Castle has the skills and measurables to play and/or guard 1-4. He gets after it on defense. I truly he cares about his defensive efforts and impact just as much as his offensive impact. I legit think he can be a Jimmy Butler type. That's who his game reminds me of. Lol they even shoot similar. I remember when Jimmy was a rotation piece in Chicago before he broke out. I can see a similar path for Stephon Castle. Not to mention, he's ahead of Amen Thompson offensively. I'd rather have Castle as backup PG and let Amen continue to be the utility guy u can just plug in wherever needed. Like when they had him playing 4 at end of season. Amen is best used in dunker spot. That's how bad his jumper is. Castle is not that bad off.

If the Pelicans would go for a Brooks+Adams+ #9pick for Ingram, you have to look at that hard. Or Trae Young for FVV + #9, less attractive or at least has some big down sides... Still have to think about it. Valanciunas is UFA so they'd to believe in Stephen Adams being healthy to jump.
Those trades are more possible if we land a top 4 pick, obviously.
Or maybe nothing shakes loose, and Reed Shepard falls in their lap at 9 it's all good.
