I've been shot twice and gone through an explosion. The explosive put me out of the military. The injuries from that blast have healed quite well over the last decade and my ability to walk is a miracle to say the least. But I still feel the pain of that first shot grazing my ankle to this very day. Odd, I always thought. The RPG I can barely feel, even remember fully; but the grazing wound from a stray round can still catch fire it feels.
I think it has to be because I was fully aware and awake for the bullet. While the explosion more or less knocked me out cold for a while whilst my friends got me on the truck and out of there. The other shot that hit me wasn't very bad. I caught it in the plate so all I got was *NASTY* bruise on my lower torso.

I suppose RPG is like a big punch unless you get hit with shrapnel. Bullet on the other hand enters into your body so it must be a pain that will forever stay either as physical or mental.

The pelvis/hip/sacrum is a location that holds your center of gravity. It’s a solid bone that’s attached to your back and lower extremity’s. Any movement causes extreme pain when damaged, let alone a bullet shattering it.

One of the guys that died in Black Hawk Down got shot on his pelvis. The bullet went through and hit his femoral artery. A medic spent hours trying to save him before the guy died. The pelvis is a really bad place to get shot for sure

The story reminds me of my husband's. He and a coworker were both shot, in a drive-by, meant for someone else, while at work. The coworker sustained minor injuries despite being hit twice. And was discharged 2 days later. My husband took 3 bullets and was in critical condition, on life support and in a coma for months. He's permantly disabled because of it too.

The worst place to be shot in and survive is the frontal lobe. Frontal lobe damage can cause serious changes in someone's personality. Basically if the frontal lobe is damaged you won't even be the same person anymore if you survive it. Definitely the worst part of the brain to get shot.

Death can be easy or hard. Falling 30000 feet people have survived. Falling a few feet off a ladder and you can die. A guy my dad knew had his dad fall off a ladder and die, he was dead before he hit the ground / severed body parts with a chain saw. He died of a massive heart attack while sawing limbs off a tree, which caused him to fall off the ladder. The chain saw then severed parts of him when he landed on it while it was still running. Point being you can die from falls even without a heart attack

My friend accidentally shot my other friend in the head right next to me. It hit him in his right eye and the bullet got lodged in his brain. We stopped the bleeding until the ambulance got there and they saved him, he was out of the hospital in two weeks and the only side effects I’ve noticed are he’s a little less mature it seems and doesn’t have the best decision making and of course losing an eye but, who knows how much of it is brain damage and how much of it is coping with the trauma of being shot in the head. He doesn’t remember much from when he got shot but he remembers the pain and just wanting to go to sleep and how he felt relaxed when he stopped talking to us and just started to let go. He was a trooper tho we kept talking to him and saying we loved him and he stayed up the whole time talking to us back and even telling us to hold his nose because the pressure relived the pain

We didn't even know he got shot there till my sister took him to get a haircut and the barber said he felt a weird dent on his head and asked him what it was. It's a miracle he survived it because there's not a lot of medical aid over there and it's an on going civil war in Burma that's getting the world attention now but back then the Burmese military was invading near by villages and attack and burned everything. He lost both his parents at 13 and later join the KNU gorilla revolution army to fight back against the genocide that the military was committing.. I don't want to keep going on and on about it but he got hit in 88 and he said at the time it felt like his whole world was blacking out and the people around him said it look like he was going crazy due to the unbearable pain he was going through

That Flint guy seems to have a similar debilitating pain to myself.
It's something I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy but philosophy, mainly Stoicism, helps a lot to wage the war with oneself. Thankfully I got off the prescribed opiates, just doesn't make sense when it only numbs ones brain and doesn't actually numb that/this specific nerve pain.
The human body is an amazingly odd and magical system, we still have so much more to learn. Honestly the future is beyond exciting

I was wrongfully shot by the police in my hip with a .40cal hollow tip. I retained the bullet. At the moment of impact, I didn’t feel pain- I think I was in shock. The pain during recovery was unimaginable and almost 4 years later I’m disabled and still experience flashbacks, debilitating pain and the bullet and shrapnel still burn in me. The one thing that stood out to me the most is the amount of energy my body absorbed and how that impacted me mentally and emotionally

The would paralized his arm, gave him a spadtic leg and caused him to have a weak bladdrr, but he is of good mind and able to live a sucessful, and adventurous life.

I got shot through my left shoulder and it went through my right lung and the pressure from the bullet fractured 4 ribs. I had to get a chest tube put in to drain the blood from my collapsed lung and that hurt worse than getting shot. While I was under anesthesia I could feel the pain in my dreams from them cutting inserting the tube into my lung. I woke up screaming for the surgeon to stop and just let me die. Also, the bullet missed my heart by a fraction of a centimeter. I would have bled out in minutes if it would have traveled even 1 cm further.

Time is not on your side, any gunshot wound, your biggest problem is blood loss. If your artery or the heart is hit, you could be unconscious in seconds. Someone can still stand and shoot after being shot in the heart for up to two minutes though due to sheer adrenaline, but events even they will collapse to the ground, and in understand 3 minutes lose consciousness, and in 3 more minutes brain damage from lack of respiration will ensue, then by about total of minutes from loss of confidence they will be completely brain dead.

Rent has gone up 20% if you can even find a home in your city. Boomers think cause they left home at 16 in the 70s that teenagers can do it now. Back then, you could bag groceries and buy a house in your 30s. Nowadays we have to get a 4 year degree to work for the man who dropped out of high school and bag groceries just to afford paying rent for a parent's basement.
There are a lot factors influencing an increase in crime but maybe this is another one.

Honestly the scary part and something his video got wrong is the fact that are on three times as many people get stabbed to death as to who shot to death and run 10 times as many people or just beaten to death with bare hands and feet rather than shot. Just because they don't have a gun doesn't mean you're safe. And also even with strict gun laws you could basically make Firearms out of metal tubing, springs, and screws.
