@@flyinstonemann87 so true. They would just focus on the gutturals (don't get me wrong I LOVE gutturals) and blend out the rest of the instruments. Are people fucking deaf or what?! How the fuck could this not speak to anyone's soul?! We've all experienced grief and melancholy in our lives. People keep on listening to the top 40s because they are not willing to think outside the box. It requires you to leave your comfort zone and enter a majestic world of despair. It's not a realm of "I love you so much baby", "Everything's awesome", hoes & money. Many Extreme Metal songs will give you a serious existential crysis, and pussies simply can't handle that. It is fast, aggressive, angry, dissonant, overwhelming, scary. It gives you a feeling of that I have to face my problems myself, and this time my family and friends will not be on my side. This song represents basically every fucking emotion in a spectrum. It's a masterpiece. Many open minded classical musicians from back in the day would probably love it too.
Similiar things apply to another highly underrated genre called Dark Ambient.

Most deathcore bands are so focused on being as heavy as possible that they (IMO) compromise artistry, and end up sounding stale or generic to the point of being boring. This, however, is not the case. I dig it.

Like, wow I was left astonished, he has such a nice pitch to his highs, and he goes to a level I still am astonished in, like, wow, his growls are nice as hell too, this has to be the best song I have heard in a while, I am addicted from minute 3 and beyond not gonna lie. Great job, I hope these guys go big.

I was watching Princess Mononoke for the first time and hearing the boar say the “disgusting little creatures” part threw me way off. I had to relisten to this song. Same as the movie antichrist when the fox is tearing off its own flesh it says “chaos. Reigns” (ending of another song on this album)

This song is unparalleled in so many different ways. The lyrics define what a descent into hell truly is. And the fact that the whole song never stops building up until the "narrator" plummets. *Mwah* chef's kiss to that!
Doubt people will believe this, but my band were legit going to use this sample at the beginning from Princess Mononoke. Angelmaker beat us to it, gutted. But this is a masterpiece, love it!

A true , under-appreciated, masterpiece! Thank you AngelMaker for creating this ominous yet beautiful sound. This song should be inducted in the top 50 metal songs of all times of all sub-genres and listed as one of the top ten deathcore songs of all eternity.

I would say I can't believe I'm 6years late to this party but it happens a lot. This is one amazingly complete metal track. Pandora played it and I youtubed it for the last hour of my road trip this afternoon, epic. This is how you solo
For me it's the lementfull lyrics and combining influences. All that and the fluidity of the vocalist and the meandering way the two meld it all together, pinky
