Hi Matt, yes I have used one. Its similar to a Faro or Romer arm based system. Stayed tuned for a video I working right now that will compares 4 different 3D scanning technologies to include a hand held, optical, tripod mounted and arm based 3D scanner. Great comparison of the 4 scanners. We use the HandyScan Black Elite and are very satisfied.
