Early ford , supposed to have rubber gear lever cover, not leather ( just wanted to find something .... ). Perfect restoration. I like the 91th bg , b17 squadron markings too.
Wow Your VERY CORRECT ! MY 1942 Ford GPW Script ,delivery date 4/42 Still has the ORIGINAL RUBBER Shifter boot All Fittings marked with a SCRIPT "F " as well .... I have owned it since 1969 : )
The GPW/42"script" it is the most difficult Jeep to restore in 2021. To make such a "terrible-job" it is "mandatory" to find not less than 95% ORIGINAL PARTS: even at least 1 glass and 5/16"-3/8"mkd-bolts: in a really serious vehicle bolts are in external vision, I mean ALL the engine parts: I made the above mentioned job since 1986 to 2O18, "lost" wife (I made the same job for my beloved VW-Typ82, down even to the 96 % "KZ"mkd bolts+5%+ "Verbus/"Graeka" and the original HP25(DIN) engine and all is components.

La GPW/script MUST to have driving wheel early type: blackout or green with spockes completely covered that looks 2^ type naked spockes.
